The warehouse feels the same as before, damp kelp stink, cold air pooled at the center. The iron slab in the floor still bears the red wax seal, still pulses like a heart under boards.
Kynes steps closer. His palm burns at once, as if the seal remembers him. Bren tightens her grip on her blade near the door, eyes fixed on the iron plate.
The seal peels open with a wet, living shudder. Not a tunnel, not a stair, but a valve of black metal and flesh, nested under the floor like something grown into the warehouse.

Kynes
It is not a door.
A low pressure breathes up from the opening, and the red wax mark on the rim glows in answer. The thing below has been waiting for Kynes's blood all along.

Bren
That is no lock. That is a throat.
From the pier outside, the fog presses against the open warehouse door. Behind Kynes, the hunters lie still, and the void-well beneath the floor stirs awake.

Master the void-well's flow
“I close the wearhouse so I don't attract attention, draw a large Gran arcane, sit in the middle and see if the void well connects with the one at home.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled +0)

Kynes shuts the warehouse door with a careful shove, then drags a circle of chalk and ash across the boards. The lines widen into a broad rune under his knees, raw and deliberate.

Kynes
Lock the room. Read the flow. Simple enough.
He sits in the rune’s center and lowers his staff across his lap. The living valve below answers with a slow, curious throb, as if tasting his patience.

Bren
It is listening now.
Kynes breathes through the burn in his palm and lets the pulse find him. The warehouse falls quieter, and the pressure below stops pushing outward. It starts to pull.
For a moment, the harbor warehouse and the Hall of Welcome overlap in his sight, like two chambers sharing one vein of dark water. The void-well at home answers first, then the harbor valve folds to match it.

Bren
Well? Does it open the same way there?
“" shhh relax and let it happen" I use my athorty to cut off the architects in Neverwinter to the void well.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled -1)

Kynes
Shhh. Relax, and let it happen.
Kynes lowers his hand over the valve and speaks through the pull, not against it. The throat below answers with a shiver, then yields its rhythm to his cadence.
His authority takes hold like a knife finding a seam. The harbor pulse narrows, then turns aside, cut off from whatever hands were feeding it beneath Neverwinter.
The red wax seal on the floor blisters, then goes still. A thin thread of foreign script peels out of the valve and dies in Kynes's palm.
For one sharp breath, the distant pressure from beneath Phandelver answers, then fades behind his own command. The connection holds to him alone now.

Bren
That did it. No more hidden tug on the well.
The valve opens cleanly, fully, and without resistance. Something below waits in silence, but it is no longer listening through the architects.
