Kynes and Bren break out onto a ridge above the Phandelver woods, breath steaming in the cold night. Behind them, the buried chamber gives a dull shudder, then quiets. Ahead, moonlight lays silver bands across the pines.

Sable
You took long enough. The hill under the hall is still settling.
Sable stands at the ridge path, rigid and watchful, with the ledger tucked close. The forest around them is still, but the air carries a faint metallic taste from below.

Kynes
The cave-in reached the surface.
Bren steps clear of the bridge, one hand on her blade, scanning the dark tree line. The hard-light path flickers behind Kynes, then thins to nothing over the broken drop.

Bren
We move. Now. If anything followed us up, I want it facing open ground.
Below the ridge, the forest floor rustles once, not with footsteps, but with a deep settling tremor. The night holds. For the first time since the vault, the dark feels wide instead of hungry.
Kynes leaves Phandelver behind and arrives at Hall of Welcome.
“We head back to the hall of welcome, I take all telepathic rings to remove any parasite script. Then using all skills gifts and insights, we then do a full magical and structure upgrade on the hall as well as a full detailed room by room purge of any and all parasite script. We run everything that can be thought of from the architects all the way to house domini and house xar.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +0)

The Hall of Welcome greets Kynes with a thin, watchful hush. The floorboards hold steady, but the air still tastes faintly of old ink and buried stone.
Sable is already at the main table, ledger open, the golden beacon from its projection burned down to a bright point. Bren closes the door behind Kynes and turns the bolt.

Bren
If this hall is carrying parasites, we strip them now. No surprises later.

Kynes
The hall is quiet enough to hear trouble settling in the walls.
Kynes takes the telepathic rings one by one, laying them in a neat line beside the ledger. As the last band leaves his hand, a dark thread of script peels free and curls into the light.
The script does not resist for long. It unspools from the rings, the table, and the seams in the wood, drifting toward Kynes’s palm like ash drawn to a vent.
Then the hall answers back. Pale lines flare through the walls, floor, and rafters, mapping hidden joins, old wards, and sealed pockets in a single waking pulse.

Sable
There. The beacon is no longer guessing. It knows the hall, and something beneath Phandelver now knows it too.

Purge the Hall of Welcome of all parasite script

Kynes lifts both hands over the ledger and the room answers like a held breath released. Pale ward-lines race up the walls, across the rafters, under the floorboards, and into the old stone seams.

Kynes
The seams are cleaner than the wood. The hall has been patched before.
The last dark threads peel out of the rings and the table, then draw into his palm. They do not stop there. Hidden scraps of parasite script rise from the corners, the lintel, the chimney stones, and the threshold.
One by one, the wards flare brighter. Cracks knit. Old false joins split apart. The hall’s bones settle into a stronger pattern, as if the building is remembering its proper shape.
Sable snaps the ledger shut, staring at the projection. The gold point below Phandelver tightens, then steadies.

Sable
It is done in here. The script is gone from every room I can read.
Bren eases her grip on the sword, but her eyes stay on the floor. Beneath the calm, a single pulse answers from below, as if something in the deep has noticed the hall become harder to bite.
