The Domini saga

The anchor dies, and the chamber shudders like a struck bell. Red script shrieks along the walls as stone dust spills from the ceiling. Bren plants her feet and raises her blade against the falling debris.

Kynes feels the architects press hard against the void-link, trying to claw their way into the broken seal. Beneath his palm, Venom stirs, hungry and bright.

The floor splits wider under the dais. Kynes answers the surge, pulling the raw pressure into his shadow-mark as the room lurches again. The red script begins to thin, but the architects still cling to the breach.

Venom swells in the mark, stronger than before, and the chamber reveals its last path, a fractured line leading deeper under Phandelver, straight toward the source that still feeds the architects.

Venom drinks from the breach through Kynes's palm, and the chamber answers with a long, shivering groan. Red script peels off the walls in strips, then dulls to ash-gray threads. The floor stops widening.

Kynes braces his staff against the broken dais and channels the remaining surge through the mark. The pressure sinks downward instead of outward, and the split stone settles into a rough, stable seam.

Bren lowers her blade a fraction, eyes still fixed on the ceiling dust. The falling debris thins as the chamber finds its balance.

The last red glow collapses into a narrow line below the floor, and the fractured path beneath Phandelver shows cleanly for the first time.

At the edge of the broken dais, the dormant brass and bone construct remains still, while the Ledger's hidden trace flickers once under the new opening.
