Dust stirs as the sigil answers the light. Thin lines of violet wake beneath the stone, tracing hidden seams toward the chamber's center. Bren steps fully inside, blade still low, eyes fixed on the pattern.

The central sigil gives a soft, grinding click. A narrow seam splits open at its heart, and cold air breathes up from the dark below, carrying the promise of another sealed chamber.

Kynes sets the key against the sigil’s seam and lets telemechanic force thread through both. The stone answers like a living lock, each hidden tooth and channel flashing in his sight.

The mechanism is not a latch at all, but a memory of motion, a route folded into the floor. His spell follows it downward, mapping the release with startling clarity.

A second pulse runs through the key. Violet light snakes from its edge to a recessed glyph in the seam, and the seam widens with a clean, deliberate click.

Below, the foundation lock disengages. Cold air rises with the scent of wet stone, and the darkness beneath the vault opens into a worked shaft, broad enough for a careful descent.

Bren shifts forward to the edge, blade lowered, gaze fixed on the newly opened way. Dust drifts around her boots as the vault groans once, deeper than before.
