The dormant script wakes all at once. Crimson light bleeds through the black stone, and the chamber answers with a low, hungry tremor.
The floor shifts under Kynes and Bren. Stone plates grind sideways, sealing the passage behind them, then the way ahead, as if the room itself is locking a door.
The script is not stirring. It is speaking. Every twitching line now carries Kynes's mark, his shape, his exact place, flung outward into the vault.
Bren snaps her head toward the walls, then to Kynes, face gone hard. The trap is not waiting for them. It has already called House Xar.

Bren
Kynes, move. They know where we are now.
The red glow deepens, bright as fresh wound-light on the stone. Somewhere beyond the sealed passage, distant impacts answer, faint but closing.

Suppress the House Xar alarm
“I connect the Archive to the active clerk-line and grant it only enough authority to read and manipulate the alarm routing. Using my Domini authority as its authorization, I command it to suppress the outgoing broadcast and seal the route behind us without altering my blood-mark or exposing the memory shards.””
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled +2)

Kynes presses his palm to the clerk-line seam and lets the Archive taste just enough of the old Domini authority to stand behind it.

Kynes
The route is a mouth. Close it without feeding it.
Blue-gold logic threads through the crimson script. The broadcast stutters, then folds inward, its signal muffled before it can leap beyond the stone.
The chamber answers with a tight, resentful shudder. The walls keep glowing, but the pulse turns inward, trapped and read-only.
Behind Kynes, the shifting plates grind together and lock, sealing the route he came through with a dull, final удар of stone.
Bren lowers her hand a fraction, watching the red light dim from a shout into a bruise on the dark walls.
The alarm is deadened. The passage is sealed. Somewhere in the black stone, something still listens for the missing signal.
