Delfarius emerges from shadow onto the Obsidian Tower’s threshold, his right hand still faintly cold from Merc'haetc’s protective ward. Saelith, Nerissa, and the forest remain behind.
Within the Tower, he opens two controlled portals. One reveals the remembered past, the other a road through the future, while the chamber beyond glimmers with gathered spirits.
Past Delfarius steps through the first portal, followed by Future Delfarius from the second. They join him before the silent dead, as distant water, wind, and fire answer through the awakened elemental hearts.

We will all need to do this, to let the spirits return on their own without us directly doing it. With all the elemental hearts awakened, the world can help them reincarnate into creation.

Then we build a rite that opens paths, not cages. Each spirit must choose its direction, even if the choice carries it somewhere none of us would expect.
Future Delfarius
The elements can offer bodies, seasons, and beginnings, but they cannot choose for the dead. We should witness, guide only when invited, and let the world remember them freely.
The gathered spirits stir like pale stars beneath the chamber’s vaulted dark. One small soul drifts toward the distant resonance of water, then pauses, awaiting the three selves’ first shared rite.

Delfarius extends both hands before him. Void coils from his palms in a vast, controlled spiral, darkening the chamber without extinguishing the pale spirits gathered within.
Past Delfarius and Future Delfarius step beside him, matching his stance. Three currents of Void braid together, forming a bridge that reaches from the chamber into creation.

The elemental hearts resonate across distance. Water, wind, and fire pour their harmonies into the Void bridge, while the souls descend through it like stars returning to a living sky.
One by one, the spirits pass beyond the chamber and enter creation. Some follow rain, some ride high currents, and others kindle within warm earth, each guided by choice.
The final soul crosses, and the bridge settles into a quiet arc between worlds before dissolving into three fading threads. The chamber is empty of the dead, but creation now carries them onward.
