Delfarius reaches a solitary observatory suspended beyond the Astral plane. Dark starlight gathers across silver stone, and an unopened arch overlooks constellations that could not belong to any mortal sky.
Within the observatory, the vanity mirror’s preserved question returns through the threshold as a faint chime. Its sound travels inward, carrying memory without forcing the sealed arch.
Delfarius gives the little chime and waits patiently before the unopened arch. He does not touch the lock or compel the observatory to receive him.
Violet light gathers around the lock, threading through the silver stone in slow, deliberate lines. The arch remains closed, but the observatory has clearly heard him.

Morghain
Delfarius. I know that chime. You waited instead of opening the way yourself, so I will hear why you came.
The violet radiance brightens, revealing Morghain’s silhouette only as a shadow beyond the arch. Her hand approaches the inner side of the lock, but does not turn it yet.

Morghain
Before I let you in, tell me whether this is a visit, an apology, or another mystery you expect me to unravel beside you.
