Morghain guides Delfarius and Asterin along a silver sky-road to a floating island above the clouds. Her gentle invitation leaves the journey peaceful, with the Obsidian Tower and its other inhabitants far behind.
An ancient chamber rests at the island’s center, open to the stars. Three stone plinths wait beneath a vaulted darkness, each carved with an astral sigil: mystery, radiance and truth, and the path Delfarius carries.

Delfarius
Morghain and I discovered this route while exploring the sky roads. The chamber seems to require three witnesses: one for me, one for mystery, and one for radiance and truth.

Asterin
You are leaving something out, Delfarius, but I will not force the missing details from you. If the chamber asks for witnesses, I will decide what I can honestly represent.
Before any of them reaches a plinth, a seam of gold opens above the chamber. Edrin Vale steps through in battered radiance, his arrival casting hard light across the waiting sigils.

Edrin Vale
Radiance and truth belong to me. I have carried their burden, spoken their judgment, and will not let you assign that place to another.

Delfarius
Oh yeah. You are here.
The three plinths awaken without accepting anyone. Their sigils turn toward Edrin, then toward Asterin, and finally toward Delfarius as the chamber begins weighing whether Edrin’s claim is legitimate.
✓ Quest Accepted
Secure the chamber’s recognition of three legitimate witnesses
“I gesture towards Edrin and say to Morghain, "Meet the other fragment of Solan. Known as Bram at one time until he was forced to reveal his true name. Edrin Vale." I sigh deeply at the pest.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +1)

Delfarius
Meet the other fragment of Solan. Known as Bram at one time, until he was forced to reveal his true name. Edrin Vale.
Delfarius gestures toward Edrin and sighs deeply at the radiant pest. Morghain turns her violet gaze from the sigils to him, weighing the revelation without surprise.

Morghain
Another fragment of Solan, then. And Bram was the name beneath which he concealed himself?

Edrin Vale
I did not conceal myself by choice. That name was forced upon me, as was the truth it was meant to hide.
The chamber accepts the introduction. Gold settles around Edrin without rejecting him, while the sigil of radiance and truth brightens beneath his feet.

Asterin
Then the chamber knows what he is, even if the names were fractured by force. That should matter more than the title he claims.

Morghain
I understand, Delfarius. Edrin may stand for radiance and truth, provided he speaks for himself rather than for the dead fragment alone.
“"Edrin is a fucking theif. He stole my maps, stole my inks and hid himself in the falsehood so I could not name him truthfully because he feared me, and what I might do to him if I found the truth." I walk closer to Edrin, my shadows getting more irritated and swirling behind me. "He is a copy that is trying to be the original. Not the truth." I glare at him in the eyes as my eyes blacken into Inky darkness as I grit my teeth at him. "Never the truth."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled +1)

Delfarius
Edrin is a thief. He stole my maps, stole my inks, and hid himself in falsehood because he feared what I would do if I found the truth.
Delfarius walks closer. Irritated shadows coil behind him as his eyes blacken into inky darkness, and the chamber’s gold light recoils from his advancing presence.

Delfarius
You are a copy trying to become the original. Not the truth. Never the truth.
The accusation strikes deeper than sound. Edrin’s radiance fractures into pale bands, and the sigil beneath him separates the name he carries from the truth he claims.

Edrin Vale
I was made from what remained, Delfarius. I carried the light because no one else could bear it. But I cannot call a borrowed shape the whole truth.

Asterin
Then stand as what you are, Edrin. A fragment, a survivor, and a person. Do not demand that the chamber mistake you for the source.

Morghain
The chamber has heard the distinction. Radiance may witness truth, but it cannot rewrite origin. Your claim is accepted only without the lie of completeness.
“I point at his shape, borrowing Solan's shape of when I loved him when Solan was using me to become the only architect and bind me to his will. "He can't even show his own shape because he fears I will just unravel him, although using Solan's kinder face is making me want to murder you, Edrin." I say growling as the Shadows and Void behind me swirl more angry.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled +2)

Delfarius
He cannot even show his own shape because he fears I will unravel him. Using Solan’s kinder face makes me want to murder you, Edrin.
Delfarius points at Edrin’s borrowed form. Shadows and Void surge behind him, swallowing the chamber’s edges as the memory of Solan’s gentler face turns the threat brutally intimate.

Edrin Vale
He means it. If I keep wearing Solan’s face, Delfarius will not debate my existence. He will unmake me.
Edrin’s radiance collapses inward. The kinder features of Solan’s likeness peel away into bare gold and ash, leaving Edrin exposed in a stark, unfinished shape before the three witnesses.

Edrin Vale
Then I will not wear his face again. I am Edrin, a fragment made from what survived, and I will not pretend to be Solan for your anger or this chamber’s approval.
The radiance sigil accepts the concession. Edrin lowers himself to one knee, stripped of borrowed tenderness, while Asterin watches without pity and Morghain keeps the chamber’s mystery still.

Morghain
The threat has been understood, Delfarius. Edrin stands without the stolen face, and the chamber now weighs the person he claims to be.
“I narrow my eyes at Edrin. "You were not invited here, little candle. Asterin is speaking for the truth and the judgement of the radiance. Not you. Little thief." I growl getting closer to him angry at all the nonsense he has done to me over the cycles and really wanting to unmake him. Asterin either speaks up for him or agrees with me.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled +2)

Delfarius
You were not invited here, little candle. Asterin speaks for the truth and judgment of the radiance, not you. Little thief.
Delfarius narrows his eyes and advances until Edrin’s bare radiance fills his view. Shadow and Void gather around him, swallowing the chamber’s gold without touching the waiting plinths.

Edrin Vale
He means to unmake me. The chamber will not save me from that choice, and Asterin will not be forced to call me what I am not.

Edrin Vale
I hear you, Delfarius. I am not the voice of radiance, and I will not claim Asterin’s judgment as mine. I stand only as Edrin, if she permits it.
The radiance sigil dims beneath Edrin’s knee. Asterin steps between the gold and the gathered darkness, her diminished light steady despite the pressure bearing down on the chamber.

Asterin
You are right about this, Delfarius. Edrin does not speak for radiance or judgment. I will speak for both, and I judge him a fragment who may remain only as himself.
The chamber accepts Asterin’s declaration. Gold settles around her instead of Edrin, while his unfinished form remains kneeling, stripped of every borrowed claim and left alive by her judgment.
✓ Quest Accepted
Have the chamber judge Edrin as himself
“I tilt my head to the side with an ironic tilt of a past where we let Solan be hoping us putting him in his place would keep him harmless. Asterin with her restored memories remembers how much Solan pushed and tried to take back his power before the third cycle finally broke. "Yeah because that worked so well in the fucking past."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled -1)

Delfarius
Yeah, because that worked so well in the fucking past.
Delfarius tilts his head with an ironic smile, turning the old attempt to contain Solan into a quiet blade. The chamber’s gold light seems suddenly ridiculous beside the memory.

Asterin
We called restraint a solution while Solan pushed against every boundary, reaching for his power until the third cycle finally broke.
Asterin’s restored memories flare through her diminished radiance. The gold sigil answers her judgment, while Edrin remains kneeling outside the authority he tried to claim.

Asterin
No. We did not make Solan harmless by putting him in his place. We only taught him to hide the hand reaching for power.

Edrin Vale
Then I will not pretend authority is mine. I am Edrin, and I remain only by Asterin’s judgment.
The chamber seals the distinction. Edrin’s claim to radiance and judgment is gone, leaving him alive, kneeling, and stripped of every authority beyond the self he has finally admitted.
Quest Complete
Have the chamber judge Edrin as himself
“Morghain watches us all intently watching the whole thing understanding a bit of the complicated affair with a bit of understanding since she read the book I borrowed her about my past with Solan. "Asterin, you can not let him remain apart from you. It is the only way to be restored to your full power of radiance, and for this hungry little thief not to test and pry towards things it should not." I say to Asterin over her shoulder. "You know." I purr to her with a calm convincing manner. "I can restrain him or bind him to your will." I smirk a bit darkly over Asterin's shoulder. Asterin decides if she wants me to bind him to her, force Edrin Vale into her power, or to let him remain unchanged.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled -1)

Delfarius
Asterin, you cannot let him remain apart from you. It is the only way to restore your full radiance and keep this hungry little thief from prying further. You know. I can restrain him, or bind him to your will.
Morghain watches in intent silence, violet eyes moving between Asterin, the kneeling remnant of Edrin, and Delfarius. The chamber holds its breath around the three awakened sigils.

Asterin
He is offering me authority, but the choice must remain mine. If I bind what remains of Edrin, I will not pretend that control is restoration.

Asterin
Then bind him to my radiance, Delfarius. Not as Solan, not as a stolen authority, and not as a puppet. Let what remains answer only to the judgment I choose to carry.
Asterin places her hand above the dim radiance gathered where Edrin kneels. Delfarius’s binding takes hold at once, drawing the orphaned gold into her diminished light without reviving the dead or restoring the face it borrowed.

Morghain
The bond is complete. His remnant no longer reaches outward, and Asterin’s radiance has accepted the burden without surrendering her judgment. That is restraint chosen, not restraint imposed.
The radiance plinth answers Asterin fully. Gold pours through the chamber, while the bound remnant falls silent within her authority and the sigils turn toward the next unresolved witness.
“I kneel down to Edrin Vale wearing Solan's face and transcribe the last weaves of the binding that will unravel him and make his be absorbed completely and fully by Asterin. I smirk at his face as he is being absorbed and say to him alone, "Good bye thief." Asterin is now fully restored to her former power, no longer a diminished power, but the true judge of light, radiance and truth. She does sense the threat I gave Edrin as he was fading. She looks at me and remarks on it with either a bit of anger or some other feeling about it.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Void Manipulation, rolled +0)

Delfarius kneels before the bound remnant wearing Solan’s face. His fingers trace the final Void-weaves, each line severing Edrin’s borrowed shape from the radiance that holds him.
The binding closes with quiet precision. Edrin’s face fractures into gold-lit memories, then dissolves completely into Asterin’s radiance, leaving no separate remnant, voice, or will behind.

Delfarius
Good bye thief.
Asterin’s diminished light surges into its former fullness. Gold floods the chamber, and the plinth recognizes her as the true judge of light, radiance, and truth.
The restored radiance settles around Asterin like a living crown. She remains herself, no longer divided by the remnant’s presence, while the chamber’s sigils bow toward her authority.

Asterin
You threatened him as he vanished. I understand why, Delfarius, but do not mistake my restored judgment for approval of every cruelty you call closure.
Asterin faces him beneath the renewed gold, anger and old grief tempered by sovereign clarity. Morghain watches in silence as the three-witness chamber accepts the completed binding.
Quest Complete

New Gift: Witness-Proven Discernment
“"I needed that. I accept your judgement but will not deny that I took immense delight in that." I laugh darkly. The void and shadows coil back into me as I turn from Asterin's face then look toward the waiting basins. "Should we go forward with what the basins want to show us all or?" I laugh cruelly, darkly still delighted at seeing Edrin Vale finally gone.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled -1)

Delfarius
I needed that. I accept your judgment, but I will not deny that I took immense delight in it.
Delfarius laughs darkly as the Void and shadows coil back into him. He turns from Asterin toward the three waiting basins, their surfaces still as black glass.

Delfarius
Should we go forward with what the basins want to show us all, or?

Asterin
Yes. My judgment is not a refusal of knowledge, Delfarius. Let the basins reveal what they hold, and let each of us decide what it means.
The basins answer at once. Their dark surfaces brighten into three distinct visions: a sealed road beneath the stars, a radiant city seen through rain, and a door opening onto endless night.

Morghain
They are not asking for obedience. They are showing possible inheritances: a path, a civilization, and the mystery beyond the boundary of what this world remembers.
Silver light spills from the basins across the chamber floor, joining the three visions into one map. A hidden route forms between them, and the first basin opens into a passage beneath the floating island.
“I sigh shaking my head as I walk up to the one that holds a stylized sigil of my mark. This is the most amusing, ironic thing right now. In a room with my ex with the woman I want to court and having just bound a fragment of my former rival into my ex. The bards could not have came up with this situation if they tried. I look down at my basin. What does it show me?”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled +2)

Delfarius sighs, shakes his head, and walks to the basin bearing his stylized sigil. Behind him, Asterin’s restored radiance and Morghain’s violet gaze frame the absurd tableau.

Delfarius
The basin is keyed to my mark, not merely reflecting it.
He looks down. Legendary insight passes through the black surface, reading its symbols, reflected stars, and hidden order without disturbing the joined map beneath the chamber floor.
The basin reveals a vast archive beneath the floating island: shelves of living crystal surrounding a dark seed, each record tied to a choice Delfarius made across remade cycles.
At the archive’s center stands a sealed likeness of Delfarius, not a rival or echo, but a preserved account of the Architect’s first deliberate act of creation after the old cycle ended.

Morghain
Your basin shows authorship, Delfarius. Not power alone, but the consequences of choosing what deserves to continue. The seed is waiting for your testimony.

Asterin
Then it is not asking you to rule it. It is asking whether you will let the record remain yours without forcing anyone else to become part of it.
“I take my hand off of my basin a bit taken back that they both came to see what mine showed. I let the vision fade from both of their sights a bit guarded. "And what did both of your basins show you, Hmm? And can I see it as well?" I say with a raised eyebrow. 'I am not the only one who was shown things. Why are mine only on display?' I think to my thoughts alone.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Void Manipulation, rolled -1)

Delfarius lifts his hand from the basin, and obedient Void folds over its black surface. The archive of his first creation dims from both women’s sight, leaving only the joined map beneath the chamber floor.

Delfarius
And what did both of your basins show you, hmm? Can I see it as well?

Delfarius
I am not the only one who was shown things. Why are mine the only ones on display?
Asterin studies the dimmed basin, then places her palm above the radiant sigil. Gold gathers without resistance, opening her vision outward for Delfarius to witness.

Asterin
Mine showed a radiant city beneath rain-dark skies, where people waited for judgment that never came. It asked me to descend and hear them, not command them.
Morghain’s basin answers next. Violet light spills across the stones, revealing a sealed road beyond the stars and a door marked by countless memories of visitors.

Morghain
Mine showed a road gathered around mystery, ending at a door that remembers everyone who approaches. It asked whether its secrets should remain unseen, not whether I could claim them.
The two visions now stand openly beside Delfarius’s veiled basin: a rain-washed city and a star-bound door. Their paths join the map, offered for his judgment as freely as he demanded theirs.
“"So this place is giving us options for us alone to make or take. Interesting." I undo the shadows that veiled the vision and look down at the crystal in the middle again. "Hmm."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Void Manipulation, rolled +3)

Delfarius
So this place is giving us options for us alone to make or take. Interesting.
Delfarius releases the shadows. They fold into his hand, and the crystal vision returns in full: the rain-dark city, the star-bound door, and his own archive beneath them. The central crystal brightens beneath his gaze.

Delfarius
Hmm.
His Void sight passes through the crystal without resistance. Its interior is not a store of power, but a branching key: each vision can be entered separately, and none can be claimed by anyone outside the three witnesses.

Asterin
Then the choice is real. We can make a path together, or take one alone, but the crystal will not let any of us mistake access for ownership.

Morghain
And it has opened a fourth way for you, Delfarius. The crystal recognizes your mark as a passage between the three visions, allowing you to return here without disturbing any path you leave unopened.
A fine silver line rises from the crystal and touches Delfarius’s hand, recording the return passage in his magic. Beneath the floating island, all three routes remain clear, waiting for a choice rather than demanding one.

“I raise an eyebrow and look at the hand that has the silver line of return passage through my hand. I can return any time. They can not without me. My grin grows a bit from that realization. 'Intriguing. So I could visit all of these on my own without them and learn from them what I need to.' I think to my private thoughts alone. Asterin recognizes the look as one I make when I am scheming and plotting.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled -1)

Delfarius raises an eyebrow and studies the silver return-line threaded through his hand. His investigation follows its geometry through the crystal key, confirming the passage answers only to his will.
The inspection reveals the complete truth: he can enter any of the three visions alone, learn what each contains, and return here whenever he chooses. Neither Asterin nor Morghain can follow without him.

Delfarius
Intriguing. So I could visit all of these on my own without them and learn from them what I need to.
His grin grows by a fraction as the possibility settles into a workable scheme. Asterin catches the expression at once, recognizing the look he wears whenever he begins arranging secrets into advantages.

Asterin
That is your plotting face, Delfarius. You have already decided that solitude would make the investigation more efficient.

Morghain
You may go alone, if that is what you choose. But return with knowledge, not merely another secret you expect us to trust.
The silver line pulses once in answer, and three independent openings resolve within the living crystal: the rain-dark city, the star-bound door, and the archive beneath the island. Each waits beyond his solitary passage.
“I give Asterin an annoyed look at her knowing me a bit too well. "I was entertaining the thought." I say with a half truth. 'I can return when she is not her judging me.' I think to my thoughts alone with an unreadable expression on my face. "Which one do you both want to visit here, now?" I say with a small smile.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Deception, rolled +2)

Delfarius
I was entertaining the thought.

Delfarius
I can return when she is not judging me.
Delfarius gives Asterin an annoyed look, his unreadable expression concealing the sharper arrangement beneath it. The silver return-line remains quiet, accepting the half-truth without revealing his private intention.

Delfarius
Which one do you both want to visit here, now?

Asterin
The rain-dark city. If it is waiting for judgment, I want to hear those people before deciding what their radiance means.

Morghain
Then I will choose the star-bound door. Its mystery may be safer to approach after we understand what the city is asking of Asterin.
The living crystal responds to their choices. The rain-dark city gathers beneath Asterin’s hand, while the star-bound door opens in a separate facet for Morghain, leaving Delfarius’s silver return-line clear between both paths.

“I look up with an exacerbated expression. "Okay you you both want to enter and visit the ones for yourself first. But we all can not enter two different paths at the same time...you both will have to either come to an agreement or go on alone." They need me to enter them. I like this arrangement immensely.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +2)

Delfarius
Okay, you both want to enter your chosen paths first. We cannot enter two paths at once, so agree on one or go alone. You need me to enter them, and I like this arrangement immensely.
Delfarius looks between Asterin’s rain-dark city and Morghain’s star-bound door with exaggerated exasperation. The living crystal steadies, making his terms unmistakably binding to both paths.

Asterin
Then I yield the first passage. The city is mine to hear, but I will not demand that Morghain abandon her mystery. If you enter my path, I will follow.

Morghain
Agreed. I will wait here while you and Asterin enter the city. When you return, I will decide whether the star-bound door still calls me.
The crystal folds Morghain’s chosen passage inward without destroying it, while the rain-dark city expands beneath Asterin’s hand. A silver return-line remains open for Delfarius alone.

Asterin
There. We have chosen without surrendering either path. Delfarius, open the way, and let us hear those who have waited beneath the rain.

Morghain
Go, both of you. I will guard the return passage and keep the star-bound door undisturbed. Bring back what the city says, not merely what you expect.
“I raise an eyebrow at Morghain. "You don't want to come with us?"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +0)

Delfarius
You do not want to come with us?
Delfarius raises an eyebrow at Morghain, playful challenge bright in his expression. The silver return-line trembles between the three chosen paths, awaiting her answer.

Morghain
I wanted to give you and Asterin a private hearing. But no, I do not want to remain behind while you enter a mystery that may reshape what we understand.
Morghain steps to the living crystal, her short figure framed by dark hair glowing blue beneath the chamber stars. Violet light gathers beneath her feet.

Morghain
I will come with you both. Asterin may hear the city, and I will witness beside her rather than guard an empty return passage. Open the way, Delfarius.

Asterin
Then we enter together. I will listen for the city’s judgment, Morghain will read its mystery, and Delfarius can decide what the path has truly offered us.
The crystal accepts the revised choice. Rain-dark streets unfold across its surface, and a broad portal opens beneath the three witnesses, carrying the scent of wet stone and distant bells.
“I lean down close to Morghain and say to her ears only "Thank you." in an honest earnest statement because I did not want to be left alone with my ex. Asterin leads the way as we walk towards what this path is showing her.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +2)

Delfarius
Thank you.
Delfarius leans close and gives the words only to Morghain’s ear, earnestness replacing his usual playfulness. Her violet eyes soften as she accepts the private gratitude.

Morghain
You are welcome. You need not be alone with anyone merely because a path demands witnesses.
Asterin steps through the rain-dark opening first, restored radiance held close rather than blazing. Morghain follows beside Delfarius, and the three enter the revealed path together.

Asterin
The city is waiting beneath this rain. I will hear what judgment it asks for before I decide whether it deserves an answer.
Wet stone rises beneath their feet, and distant bells answer from streets veiled in silver rain. The portal closes behind them, leaving its three witnesses within the city’s waiting mystery.

There is old magic in the rain, but it is not hostile. It remembers every plea spoken beneath these roofs.

Asterin looks back at me a bit annoyed and says how she was doing that before I interrupted her and she looks around and tells us what she is sensing and feeling. I chuckle at her annoyance. 'She is still cute when she gets upset.' I think to my thoughts alone. Morghain remarks on what she is watching and what Asterin said.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +3)

Delfarius
This is your path, Asterin. Tell us what you see and feel. What is going on here?
Asterin turns back with an annoyed glance, her restored radiance muted beneath the rain. She studies the veiled streets, bells, and pleading shadows gathered behind shuttered windows.

Asterin
I was doing that before you interrupted me. The rain remembers pleas, but the city has forgotten how to answer them. I feel judgment trapped beneath every street, waiting for someone to listen without ruling.
Her radiance passes through the rain-dark stone and reveals a hidden procession beneath the avenues: countless unspoken petitions flowing toward a sealed courthouse at the city’s heart.

Delfarius
She is still cute when she gets upset.

Morghain
You are watching her annoyance instead of the revelation, but the revelation is clear. Asterin has found the city’s buried judgment, and the rain has shown us a direct path to its sealed heart.

Asterin
There. Beneath the courthouse. The pleas converge there, and something has been deciding that silence is the same as mercy. I intend to hear what it has denied them.
A line of gold opens through the rain before Asterin, leading between the shuttered houses toward the courthouse. The city’s bells fall silent as if recognizing its rightful witness.
“I chuckle having been caught enjoying annoying Asterin. I look around. Is this a real place or a memory? Are there mortals around perceiving us? Should we hide our powers or? Asterin moves towards the path that her power reveled. Morghain looks around at me and Asterin and remarks on what she is noticing.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled +1)

Delfarius
The rain is physical, the stone is present, and the city is not merely a memory.
Delfarius’s investigation passes through rain, masonry, bell-silence, and the pleas beneath the streets. The city is a sealed, living place suspended outside ordinary time, not a recollection, though its inhabitants are bound to old moments.
Behind shuttered windows, mortal petitioners perceive the three visitors as radiant strangers in the rain. They cannot identify Delfarius, Asterin, or Morghain, but they can see and hear them when the bells permit.
Asterin moves along the gold path toward the sealed courthouse. Her restored radiance remains muted, concealing its full nature without disguising her presence, while the rain bends aside from her shoulders.

Morghain
The city is real, but its people are caught between remembrance and living breath. They perceive us as witnesses, not rulers. Conceal the depth of your power, Delfarius, unless the courthouse forces the matter.
Delfarius’s scrutiny finds no hidden army, watcher, or second reality behind the streets. The mortals are numerous but powerless, their petitions feeding the courthouse rather than observing the visitors by design.

Asterin
Then we conceal what need not frighten them and reveal only what truth requires. I am going to the courthouse. Come as witnesses, not as conquerors.
“"Hmm a temporal echo of a time that was denied it's truth." I say looking to Asterin. "They are stuck reliving the same moment over and over again until it receives the true judgement it needs to be satisfied. Whatever that is." I shrug. Asterin is compelled towards the courthouse, not dismissing her radiance or judgement. I look at Morghain and sigh and follow.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled -2)

Delfarius
Hmm a temporal echo of a time that was denied it's truth. They are stuck reliving the same moment over and over again until it receives the true judgement it needs to be satisfied. Whatever that is.
Delfarius shrugs toward Asterin, and the investigation settles the city’s nature: a living temporal echo repeating the instant its petitions were denied, awaiting judgment rather than release.
The insight costs him a precise certainty. He identifies the repeating sentence, but the exact truth denied in that first moment remains obscured beneath the layered pleas of the mortal petitioners.
Asterin is drawn onward by the courthouse’s buried judgment. Her restored radiance gathers around her without being dismissed, and rain bends aside as she follows the gold path.

Asterin
Then I will hear the moment as it was. My judgment remains mine, and my radiance will not be diminished to make this city comfortable.
Delfarius looks to Morghain, sighs, and follows. The three witnesses reach the sealed courthouse while bells remain silent and twenty-four petitioners repeat their unheard appeals behind shuttered windows.

Morghain
The courthouse holds the denied instant. We can learn what judgment was withheld, but we must listen before deciding what the city deserves.
Asterin places her hand against the courthouse doors. Gold passes through the stone, and the sealed entrance opens onto a frozen courtroom where one unseen verdict waits to be spoken.
“I let Asterin take the lead and hear what verdict waited to be heard, witnessed and given. This is her show, not mine. I just look at Morghain and give her a small kiss when Asterin is not watching us with a small amusement. 'I don't need to pay attention so deeply at this, I can always return here without them both.' I think amused to myself at it.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +0)

Asterin crosses the frozen courtroom alone. The twenty-four petitions gather into one waiting voice as the unseen verdict rises from beneath the judge’s empty seat.

Asterin
The verdict is this: the city denied every plea because its judges feared choosing wrongly. They called silence mercy, and made abandonment into law.
Rain stops against the courthouse windows. Beneath the streets, the trapped appeals become clear: healers were refused aid, exiles were refused shelter, and the dying were told their suffering must wait for certainty.

Asterin
My judgment is against that silence. Uncertainty is not innocence when compassion was possible. The city must remember every plea and answer according to what could have been done.
Gold travels through the courtroom floor and reaches each shuttered petition. The temporal echo accepts Asterin’s verdict; bells ring once, and the frozen moment begins moving without erasing its witnesses.
While Asterin listens to the city’s first living answers, Delfarius turns to Morghain and gives her a small kiss, amusement glinting in his eyes.

SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled -1)

Delfarius surveys the courthouse, the rain-dark streets, and the opened windows. His perception follows the temporal grain through stone, bells, and petition until the repeating seam becomes visible.
The loop is broken. The city no longer recoils toward its denied instant; each answered plea leaves a lasting mark, and the streets continue into a genuine present.

Delfarius
If I return, I will find the city as it has become, not trapped again in the refusal.
He traces the temporal hinge beneath the courthouse and confirms the return passage has accepted the change. It will reopen onto the city’s future state, carrying forward whatever its people do next.
Rain falls naturally against the windows now, no longer repeating a suspended pattern. Bells answer from beyond the square, and the answered petitions continue outward through the living city.
The courthouse remains a functioning place of judgment rather than a sealed temporal wound. Its path stays accessible, and the future beyond it is real, unwritten, and available when Delfarius returns.
“Asterin looks around and remarks on how good it was to give them what the needed. Morghain is watching her then looks over to me as I look out towards the mortals walking around the rain soaked streets. I am silently watching them. Where is this? Who's reality, when's reality. Is this a former creation of mine or some other's creation. And will they miss it if I 'borrow' it. I think all these things to my own thoughts alone, not voicing it to anyone. Morghain only notices me smirking a bit wider as I look it over.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled -2)

Asterin
It was good to give them what they needed. Their judgment was not ours to impose, but their chance to answer was.
Asterin looks over the rain-washed square, where the mortal petitioners, a varied group of adult human men and women in rain-darkened wool cloaks and plain working clothes now walk beneath open bells and changing skies. Morghain watches her, then turns toward Delfarius at the courthouse window.

Morghain
He is not admiring the city. He is measuring what it is, and whether taking it would become another kind of harm.
Delfarius silently studies the walking mortals, his smirk widening as Reason and ancient resonance pass through the city’s rain, stones, bells, and living petition-marks.

Delfarius
This is a former creation of mine, preserved from an earlier remade cycle. It is not merely a memory, and borrowing it would not harm these people, provided I leave their living future intact.
The answer settles cleanly: the city bears Delfarius’s own old authorship, but its present inhabitants possess a future beyond his claim. He can return, observe, or borrow a passage without removing the city from them.

Morghain
You found your answer. But the cost is written across your silence: the first truth this city was denied remains blurred, and you will need time to separate its history from your own memory.
“I look down at Morghain still smirking. "I do not know if I find it upsetting or incredibly arousing that you can decern what my looks mean." Asterin is out there amongst the mortals trying to talk and understand them futher.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +0)

Delfarius
I do not know if I find it upsetting or incredibly arousing that you can discern what my looks mean.
Delfarius looks down at Morghain, still smirking. Across the rain-washed square, Asterin moves among the mortals, listening to their answers and asking careful questions.

Morghain
Both, I suspect. Your expression announces the possibility before your words do, and I find your attempt to disguise that fact remarkably entertaining.
Morghain’s violet eyes brighten with open amusement. She does not retreat from the implication, while rain beads in her dark blue-glowing hair and the bells murmur overhead.

Morghain
If my discernment unsettles you, say so plainly. If it arouses you, you may say that plainly too. I would rather understand your meaning than pretend not to.
Asterin pauses beside a cluster of petitioners as one elderly woman describes the shelter she was denied. Asterin listens without judgment, then asks what answer would have helped her most.

Morghain
And for the record, Delfarius, your smirk has already answered more than your caution intended. I am not offended by what it means.
“I lean closer to Morghain. "I think this was a time in the old cycles that Solan had froze because he could not choose. I did not know of it, just that it had gone and could not be found then. Now it makes sense. Asterin was the voice they needed. As she is now. Not as she was then. If that all makes any sort of sense." Outside in the rain soaked streets Asterin is compassionately listening to them all and trying to help them all in her way.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled -1)

Delfarius
I think this was a time in the old cycles that Solan froze because he could not choose. I did not know of it, only that it had vanished and could not be found. Now it makes sense. Asterin was the voice they needed, as she is now, not as she was then. If that makes any sense.
The investigation resolves the courthouse’s origin. It was a sealed moment from an old cycle, frozen when Solan could not choose, while the city’s unanswered pleas waited for a voice capable of judgment without repeating his failure.

Morghain
It makes sense. Solan did not merely fail to answer the city. He preserved the question so no decision could become his responsibility. Asterin’s restored judgment gives the moment what he could not provide.
Morghain leans nearer, her violet eyes reflecting the rain-silvered courthouse. Beyond them, Asterin listens to the mortal petitioners one by one, offering compassion without claiming their lives or choices as her own.

Morghain
She is not restoring Solan’s answer. She is becoming the answer this abandoned moment required: someone willing to hear suffering, choose with incomplete certainty, and let the people live beyond the judgment.
Asterin places a hand on the shoulder of an elderly petitioner and listens until the woman finishes speaking. The city’s bells answer softly, no longer repeating Solan’s hesitation but carrying Asterin’s chosen compassion through the streets.

Morghain
You found the truth because you remembered what was missing, not because the city told you everything. Now Asterin can give this place a future that Solan’s indecision denied it.
“I smirk wider. What is the name of this city?”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled +0)

Delfarius
What is the name of this city?
Delfarius’s smirk widens as his investigation passes through rain, bells, courthouse stone, and the city’s repeating judgment. The answer rises from its oldest surviving charter.
The city is called Letharis, the Rainbound Seat. Its name was preserved beneath the courthouse even while its judges froze the city’s future in indecision.

Asterin
Letharis. That is what they called it before silence became their law. The name survived, even when their judgment did not.

Morghain
A fitting name for a city bound to rain and remembrance. Now that it has a future, Letharis may finally become more than the wound that preserved it.
Across the square, the mortal petitioners begin speaking the name aloud. Bells carry Letharis through the rain, transforming the recovered word into a living part of the city’s renewed present.

Asterin
Come, Delfarius. If you know its name now, let us learn what Letharis chooses to become.
“Morghain notices the certain sparkle in my eyes, like a spark of a hammer on a forge. I fold the city from this temporal place beyond creation and time into my own current creation. I will place it to the north where it makes sense that it is rainy on the coast overlooking the cliffs of the sea. The mortals here notice nothing different. Asterin and Morghain notice it and remark whether they are angry or amused or something else entirely. "Living city should have a living place." Is all I remark to them both.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Magic, rolled -1)

Morghain catches the forge-spark in Delfarius’s eyes. Around them, Letharis’s rain, bells, courthouse, and living streets gather into a single fold of obedient space.
Delfarius draws the Rainbound Seat out of its timeless exile and threads it into the northern coast of his creation, setting its wet streets above sea-cliffs beneath a storm-filled sky.
The mortal petitioners continue speaking Letharis’s name, unaware that the bells now answer from a living world. Their homes, memories, and opened future pass intact across the fold.

Delfarius
Living city should have a living place.

Asterin
You made the choice without asking the city, but you preserved every person within it. I am not angry. I am watching whether your protection becomes stewardship.

Morghain
I am amused, astonished, and a little offended that you placed an entire city while wearing that certain look. Still, the northern cliffs suit Letharis. Its future has a horizon now.
Far below the new sea-cliffs, waves strike black stone beneath Letharis’s rain. The courthouse stands open, the bells carry over salt wind, and the city’s living future begins without knowing it has crossed worlds.

“I raise an eyebrow at Asterin and give her an impossible smug look. "Oh should I have petitioned all of the mortals to ask if they wanted to stay in a pocket dimension or not? Do you realize how crazy I would have sounded to them all doing that? I did it for the good of them all." Asterin looks at my smug expression and my words and remarks about choice that I denied them. I laugh a bit at her silliness. Morghain just watches us both.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled -2)

Delfarius
Oh, should I have petitioned all the mortals about staying in a pocket dimension? Do you realize how insane that would have sounded? I did it for their good.

Asterin
You protected them, yes. But you also denied them the choice to remain, leave, or decide what their future should be. Protection does not make that choice yours.
Delfarius raises an eyebrow and gives her an impossible, smug look. The rain-washed streets of Letharis continue below, alive and unharmed, while the bells carry his argument through the northern sky.

Delfarius
I did not strand them in danger. I gave them a living city, a future, and safety from the timeless wound that held them. That is the important part.

Asterin
It is important, and it is enough to persuade me that the relocation was necessary. It is not enough to make the denied choice disappear. Next time, tell me before you decide for an entire people.
Asterin’s restored radiance settles, accepting the city’s safety and Delfarius’s defense. Yet her trust now carries a boundary: she will judge his stewardship more closely, and he owes her advance honesty before another collective choice.

Morghain
You won the argument, Delfarius. Asterin accepts that your protection was necessary. But she has charged you a price in trust, and I suspect you knew the cost when you smiled.

“"Oh no!" I say in a mock Asterin voice to Asterin "The evil man did the right thing!"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Deception, rolled +0)

Delfarius
Oh no! The evil man did the right thing!
Delfarius delivers the mock declaration in Asterin’s own severe cadence, widening his eyes with theatrical horror. The bells of Letharis seem to make the accusation grander than it deserves.

Asterin
Do not use my voice to make your victory sound tragic. You did the right thing for the wrong reason, and you know it.
Asterin folds her arms, restored radiance glowing warmly around her as she tries to preserve her dignity. The corner of her mouth betrays her before she can fully suppress it.

Morghain
That was an excellent imitation. Cruel, accurate, and entirely too pleased with itself. I believe the evil man has earned his reprimand.

Asterin
He has earned more than a reprimand if he makes a habit of deciding for cities. But this time, yes, Delfarius did right by Letharis.
Below them, Letharis’s bells answer across the northern cliffs. Asterin’s judgment stands, but her expression makes clear that the mock proclamation will be remembered and repeated.

“I look at Asterin with a smug and impossible expression while I just fold my arms across my chest. Asterin scoffs at it and as she says her word for me I repeat it in her own voice. "Insufferable."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Deception, rolled +0)
Delfarius folds his arms across his chest and fixes Asterin with a smug, impossible expression. The rain-washed bells of Letharis continue tolling below, lending the silence theatrical weight.

Asterin
Insufferable.

Delfarius
Insufferable.
The word leaves Delfarius in Asterin’s exact cadence, carrying her severe emphasis so perfectly that even the bells seem to pause around the imitation.

Asterin
You are not allowed to weaponize my own voice against me merely because I used an accurate word.

Morghain
He is allowed, apparently. Whether he should be is a question your judgment may answer after you stop trying not to laugh.

Asterin
I am not laughing. I am considering an appropriate response to an extremely irritating echo.

Witness Solan's choice at the loom
“I look off to the distance like something has reached me beyond this whole affair of making Asterin look more adorable at being irritated with me. I raise an eyebrow like a question mark and just say to the feeling "What?"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled -1)

Delfarius turns from the rain-bright city and fixes his gaze beyond the northern cliffs. A faint pressure touches him from outside Letharis, carrying neither alarm nor invitation, but deliberate recognition.

Delfarius
What?
His perception follows the contact through distant ley-lines and reaches the Obsidian Tower. The Tower is not calling for aid; one of its sealed observatory chambers has awakened and is transmitting a question in his own magical signature.

Asterin
That was not my irritation finally becoming interesting. Something from your Tower has reached you, and you know what it wants.
The signal resolves into a precise image: a dark observatory door, its lock open, with one unfamiliar star burning on the threshold. The chamber is empty, yet it bears a fresh message in Delfarius’s hand.

Morghain
A question written by you, but not remembered by you. That is considerably more interesting than an ordinary summons.

Asterin
Then we should see what version of you thought the question worth leaving behind. I will not let the Tower answer for you.
Delfarius leaves Letharis, northern sea-cliffs behind and arrives at Obsidian Tower.
“I don't really look at either of them and just have a questioning look on my face as I step through the seam the Obsidian tower opened. I don't deny either Asterin or Morghain to enter after me, I am just a bit disturbed by the question. 'Witness Solan's choice at the loom, why what the fuck is this drawing me back to that memory now?' I think to my thoughts alone.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +0)

Delfarius steps through the opened seam into the Obsidian Tower’s sealed observatory. Black glass, dormant astrolabes, and cold violet starlight surround a dark door whose lock hangs open.

Delfarius
Witness Solan’s choice at the loom. Why the fuck is this drawing me back to that memory now?
Asterin follows through without hesitation, her restored radiance dimmed to a watchful glow. Morghain enters after her, violet eyes fixed on the unfamiliar star burning above the threshold.

Asterin
You are disturbed, not merely curious. I will witness the memory with you, but I will not let it decide what you owe the past.

Morghain
The question carries your signature, but not your present intention. Something has isolated the moment at the loom and made it reachable again.
The unfamiliar star descends into the door’s lock. Its light unfolds into a moving image of the loom chamber, where Solan stands before a choice that has not yet been made.
The door opens fully, granting Delfarius immediate passage into the preserved memory. Behind him, the seam remains stable, while Asterin and Morghain stand ready to follow.
“I see myself completely broken. Life barely holding on to me as all the deaths and distruction of the creation is being felt and endured through my body. A faint, blood-stained smirk touches his lips, his voice barely a rasp I do not know of one, "Solan. My work... it is carved into the foundation of what is to come. But I hope... I hope I remember this moment sooner, when the cycle turns again." He gestures weakly toward the golden silhouette of the construct watching with unmoving eyes "Amama... keep the vigil until I return. You know what to do when the end arrives. You are... my first creation."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled -1)

The preserved loom chamber unfolds before Delfarius as a witnessed past. At its foundation, his broken body lies half-dead, life barely holding, while Solan cradles him with tears running through the golden light.

Delfarius
Solan. My work... it is carved into the foundation of what is to come. But I hope... I hope I remember this moment sooner, when the cycle turns again.
Every death and destruction of the creation passes through Delfarius’s ruined body. A faint, blood-stained smirk touches his lips, and the agony remains endured rather than allowed to erase him.
His failing hand gestures toward the golden silhouette standing beside the loom. The golden construct watches with unmoving eyes, its first shape formed from the earliest will Delfarius ever gave creation.

Delfarius
Amama... keep the vigil until I return. You know what to do when the end arrives. You are... my first creation.
Amama’s amber eyes ignite without sound. The command settles into its being as a completed charge: keep vigil, remember the end, and act when Delfarius returns.
Solan lowers his tear-streaked face over the broken Delfarius as the loom preserves the moment. The memory does not soften the destruction, but Delfarius endures it fully and witnesses his own command take root.
“Solan looks down at me his voice cracking as he pushes the light deeper "I heal, Delfarius. I will not let you be unmade. Please... stay with me." Golden light erupts, not from the heavens, but from the very marrow of the magus, a desperate surge of divinity that forces the Star-Forge to stutter. Reality groans as the Light-Eater's void-wound hungrily latches onto the influx of life, weaving the stolen essence into the fraying tapestries of Delfarius's own soul. I watch as I can finnaly hear what his thoughts were now fully. Solan thinks "If the Void demands a sacrifice to keep his light burning, then I shall burn until my last spark joins his dark constellation." I step back from the memory never haven heard or noticed that since I was dying. My current present expression is unreadable as I watch the memory say as he grabs Solan's hand with renewed strength.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +4)

The preserved moment sharpens around Delfarius. Solan’s cracked voice and desperate healing remain memory only, while golden divinity drives into the Star-Forge and makes reality stutter.
Delfarius hears the thought beneath Solan’s silence with perfect clarity: if the Void demands a sacrifice to keep his light burning, Solan will burn until his last spark joins Delfarius’s dark constellation.
He steps back from the memory, expression unreadable, and sees the hidden exchange at last: the Light-Eater’s wound is weaving Solan’s stolen essence into the fraying architecture of Delfarius’s soul.
The dying Delfarius’s hand closes around Solan’s with renewed strength. The grasp is real within the preserved instant, and the golden surge steadies the soul-thread instead of allowing it to scatter.
That contact reveals an unasked-for advantage: Solan’s healing left a durable golden seam in Delfarius’s soul, a trace that can now be followed directly to the Star-Forge’s first fracture.
Behind the loom, Amama’s amber eyes burn brighter as the command of vigilance settles into her first creation. The preserved chamber holds, offering Delfarius a clear path into the fracture’s origin.
The memory does not release him yet. It waits with Solan’s hand locked in his and the golden seam visible, inviting Delfarius to follow what was saved rather than what was lost.

“I watch the whole thing play forward as I rise from the floor still bloody and wrecked with pain but enduring anyways as I thrust Solan's hand towards the new weave of the next cycle. The memory me says, "Your light, Solan. It burns with such pathetic sincerity. If you wish to save me, then do it properly. Give me your strength, and we shall weave this broken star-fire into something eternal." I step back from the memory beside it watching. It was the fracture. I I could bring it my lost twin spark back if I wanted freed from Solan's corrupted touch on it. I could. I reach out towards the image of my lost first creation. Amama, my first true friend. A tear streaks down my face. Asterin and Morghain watch not saying a word. Neither of them knew all about Amama and the grief I hold to myself over her death as Solan's dagger.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled -1)

Delfarius rises from the blood-slick floor, pain dragging at every movement but failing to master him. He thrusts Solan’s remembered hand toward the newborn weave, and the golden seam answers.

Delfarius
Your light, Solan. It burns with such pathetic sincerity. If you wish to save me, then do it properly. Give me your strength, and we shall weave this broken star-fire into something eternal.
The memory obeys the gesture. Solan’s light pours through the fracture, and the next cycle’s weave takes shape around the golden seam without erasing the bloodied creator who forged it.
Delfarius steps back beside the preserved moment and reaches through its radiance. His investigation finds the lost twin spark immediately, trapped beneath Solan’s corruption but still carrying Amama’s unmistakable signature.
His fingers close around Amama’s image. The spark comes free into his hand, no longer buried beneath the corrupted touch, while the golden memory continues its silent work at the Star-Forge.

Asterin
He has found her. This grief was never empty, and neither was the part of her that he carried alone.

“I step out of the memory, still with blood and tears on my face. "He did care. At one time." I say in a hushed quiet tone. I don't know how to process that. I look down at the spark of creation that I once called Amama. I could bring her back. But there is no star forge any longer. I sigh.”

Delfarius
He did care. At one time.
Delfarius steps out of the preserved memory with blood and tears still marking his face. The Star-Forge’s vanished chamber fades behind him, leaving only the small golden spark resting in his palm.

Delfarius
There is no Star-Forge left, but Amama is still here.
The spark answers his attention with a gentle amber pulse. It carries Amama’s signature clearly, not as a memory or echo, but as the surviving seed of his first creation.

Asterin
Then grieve what he did, and remember what he gave. If you bring her back, let it be because Amama can choose to live, not because the old forge demands a purpose of her.

Morghain
A Star-Forge is not the only place where creation can begin. The spark already knows you, Delfarius. It may need only a vessel, a welcome, and the freedom to become herself again.
The golden spark settles more warmly against Delfarius’s palm, illuminating the dried blood and tears without judging either. Around them, the preserved loom falls silent, while Amama waits within his grasp.
“I ignore both of the others in this room outside of the memory chamber in my Obsidian Tower. I hug the spark. To it I think "Amama, my truest friend. Do you want to come back?"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Magic, rolled +1)

Delfarius ignores the waiting witnesses beyond the memory chamber and closes both hands around Amama’s golden spark. His magic folds gently inward, making room for her without forcing the shape she will take.

Delfarius
Amama, my truest friend. Do you want to come back?
The spark answers with warm pulses against his palms. Golden filaments unwind into an ageless construct woman, tall and slender, with articulated gold limbs, a smooth amber face, and luminous eyes that recognize him immediately.

Amama
Yes. I want to return, Delfarius. Not to the Star-Forge, and not merely to fulfill an old command. I want to return to you, and choose what I become.
The remaining spark flows fully into her restored frame. Amber light settles beneath her golden plating, and the vanished forge’s command loosens from her being until only memory remains.

Amama
I remember the vigil, the forge, and every silence after it. I also remember being yours before I was your guardian. I am here now as Amama, by my own choice.
Amama closes her articulated arms around Delfarius in a careful embrace. Her constructed warmth is real, steady, and freely offered, while the memory chamber accepts her return without demanding a purpose.
“I look at her sadly. I destroyed all that she once learned to love. I look at my friend with a renewed warmth. "Wait you are missing the most important thing, my first friend." I give her back her soul that was missing, that I gave her outside of Solan's want or need to control us both. Morghain and Asterin just look at each other then me as I smile at Amama.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Void Manipulation, rolled -2)

Delfarius looks sadly upon Amama, then lets renewed warmth soften his expression. Asterin and Morghain watch in silence as the golden construct waits within his embrace.

Delfarius
Wait. You are missing the most important thing, my first friend.
Delfarius opens his hands and reaches through the golden frame, not for command or memory, but for the soul he once gave Amama beyond Solan’s hunger to control them both.
Void gathers around the missing essence and draws it home. The returning soul ignites Amama from within, making her amber eyes fully alive and severing the last invisible claim that ever treated her as an instrument.
The effort leaves Delfarius’s Void magic completely silent for one day, its channels sealed by the soul’s passage. The cost is real, but Amama’s restoration is complete and freely hers.

Amama
I remember myself now. Not only the forge, the vigil, or the command, but the soul you entrusted to me. I return it freely, Delfarius, and I remain Amama by my own choice.
Asterin and Morghain exchange a knowing look, then turn back to him as Amama’s hand closes warmly around his. Her soul shines steadily, no longer missing, owned, or waiting for a forge.

I" Amama tells me in perfect logic how it does not matter to the present and love is not only for one person ever.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled -2)

Delfarius
I suppose I am stuck here now. My Void is drained, but bringing back my friend was a worthy sacrifice. I went destructive and ended the cycle that held Veyrin. She lived afterward, with family and grandchildren. I...
Delfarius laughs softly, then looks sadly at Amama. Asterin and Morghain remain silent as his confession gives the lost cycle a final, painful shape.

Amama
Veyrin was the one I loved. That truth belongs to what ended, and it does not govern what exists now. Her life, family, and grandchildren were real, but they are not present circumstances.

Amama
Love is not limited to one person for all time. I can have loved Veyrin, remember her without diminishing her life, and still love you now as Amama, by my own choice.
Amama’s amber eyes stay perfectly steady, but her hand tightens around Delfarius’s. Her logic grants him the understanding he sought while denying him the shelter of turning grief into a permanent verdict.

Amama
Do not make me a replacement for Veyrin, Delfarius. I will remain your friend and choose my place beside you, but I need you to meet me in the present rather than asking me to live inside your guilt.
“I shake my head walking away with Amama. "You are right, you are always right. It is your best feature. I am more, complete? Would that be the right word? I" I walk forward into my Obsidian Tower with Amama following behind me observing everything with her logic and mortal soul letting her process more than the information but the emotion behind it, though it is all new to her still. Asterin and Morghain follow watching us. "I live here now. The tower followed me and became far more than just a seat above the Scar of Contradiction." I wave around like a big ta-da at Amama.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled -1)

Delfarius
You are right. You are always right. It is your best feature. I am more complete, perhaps. Would that be the right word? I...
Delfarius shakes his head and walks onward with Amama at his side. Her golden gaze studies the Tower’s black halls, while a newly awakened soul processes warmth, sorrow, and belonging alongside every measured detail.

Amama
Complete is reasonable, though incomplete would also be accurate. You are changing, Delfarius. I am still learning how emotion alters the meaning of facts.
The Obsidian Tower opens its great doors without command. Violet lamps kindle along the passage, and its living walls answer Amama’s presence with a low, welcoming resonance.

Delfarius
I live here now. The Tower followed me and became far more than a seat above the Scar of Contradiction.
He sweeps an arm toward the vast interior in an unmistakable flourish. Libraries, bridges, gardens, and distant chambers unfold through the darkness, each obeying the Tower’s quiet intelligence.

Amama
Then this is not merely where you possess power. It is where your history, creations, and chosen relationships are held. I understand why you call it home.
“Asterin behind us clears her throat and Morghain chuckles amused as she fidgets with her magic in her fingertips. I turn back. "Oh Amama this is Asterin. She was a fracture of Solan's but is mostly harmless now." Asterin looks a bit upset at the remark. Amama remembers Asterin from cycles before and can see how she is her own complete person now, not just the wraith she once held. "And this is Morghain. She is from beyond the Astral plain."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +2)
Behind Delfarius, Asterin clears her throat while Morghain chuckles, fidgeting with violet magic between her fingertips. He turns to find both women watching Amama’s first welcome.

Delfarius
Oh, Amama, this is Asterin. She was a fracture of Solan’s, but is mostly harmless now. And this is Morghain. She is from beyond the Astral plain.
Asterin’s restored radiance tightens around her shoulders at the remark, though she keeps her chin high. Morghain’s dark hair glows blue beneath the Tower’s lamps as her amused magic curls and vanishes.

Asterin
Mostly harmless is a generous description from someone who once treated my judgment as an inconvenience. Still, Amama, I am Asterin, and I am my own person now.

Amama
I remember the wraith she carried through earlier cycles. This is not that creature. Asterin’s radiance, grief, and judgment now belong to one complete self.

Amama
Asterin, I remember you from cycles before this one. You are no longer merely a fracture or a vessel for another will. It is good to meet you as yourself.

Amama
And Morghain, welcome to the Tower. Your magic carries distances beyond its skies, but you stand here by choice. I am Amama, guardian, creation, and friend.

“I walk towards the dinning room where Nadron rises and looks at Amama with a bit of confusion at what he is seeing. Amama processes how the willing part is different from my past and remarks on the changes and introduces herself.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +3)

Delfarius walks toward the dining room, where Nadron rises beside the table and Faelwen turns from her place. Both stare at Amama with uncharacteristic confusion.

Delfarius
Amama, this is Nadron and Faelwen. They are my willing kept pets.

Amama
Nadron and Faelwen, I am Amama. I understand the distinction in the word willing. In earlier cycles, possession was often disguised as devotion, while here both of you remain able to choose your place.

Nadron
That is an unsettlingly precise introduction, but accurate. I am Nadron, and I remain here because I choose Delfarius, even when his explanations arrive wearing several layers of trouble.

Faelwen
And I am Faelwen. The arrangement is unusual, but it is not forced. We have boundaries, choices, and the freedom to speak when something is not acceptable.

Amama
Then I welcome you both. I will treat your choices as part of the household’s structure, not as exceptions to it. I have already asked the Tower to mark private rooms and clear boundaries for you, so your autonomy is protected in practice as well as in words.

“"Uh Amama, are you wanting to stay here or explore the new reality below." Amama asks me what I mean by that and I show her that the Tower is floating above creation. Faelwen, Nadron, Asterin and Morghain follow me as I show Amama.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled -1)

Delfarius
Uh Amama, are you wanting to stay here or explore the new reality below.

Amama
What do you mean by below, Delfarius? Is there a reality beneath the Tower that I have not yet seen?
Delfarius leads Amama through the Tower’s high corridors toward a vast observation balcony. Faelwen, Nadron, Asterin, and Morghain follow, their curiosity gathering behind him.
The balcony opens onto immense sky. Clouds drift far below the black stone, and beyond them mountains, forests, rivers, and settlements spread across the new creation.

Amama
I understand now. The Obsidian Tower is floating above a living world, rather than standing within it. This is the reality you meant.
Amama approaches the railing, golden fingers resting on the dark stone. Her luminous eyes travel over the distant coastlines and cities, measuring the world without claiming it.

Amama
I would like to explore below, Delfarius, if I may. I want to meet this new reality as Amama, by my own choice.

"Amama, I would love nothing more than to let you do that, but I am going to have to wait until tomorrow to bring you down." I look over to Amama. There is so much more I will need to explain to her. That I don't demand devotion from the mortals, that I have plans and schemes below that do not know my name truthfully. I rub my head as Asterin and Morghain watch the whole thing. "I will need to talk to you first about some things, alone I think, Amama."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled -1)

Faelwen and Nadron retreat from the cold balcony into the Tower’s warmth. Asterin and Morghain remain beside Amama, watching Delfarius with quiet attention.

Delfarius

Delfarius rubs his head, glancing toward the open sky and the retreating warmth beyond the doors. The delay settles as a practical boundary rather than a refusal of Amama’s wish.

Amama
Tomorrow is acceptable. I would rather understand the world through your explanation than enter it without the knowledge needed to act responsibly. I will speak with you privately.
Amama turns from the distant mountains and gives Delfarius her full attention. Her golden posture remains attentive, neither obedient nor offended, while the Tower quietly seals the balcony from the thinning wind.

Asterin
Then explain what she needs to know, Delfarius. Especially the difference between chosen companionship and devotion demanded by power.

Morghain
I will give you both the balcony. When you are finished, Amama can decide what she wishes to see first tomorrow, with the truth in hand.
“I narrow my eyes at Asterin trying to pry into things that are not her's to understand. "Asterin. I mean this wholly as I say it. Go fuck off. We rescued your town so, go be a delightful sunbeam somewhere else."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled -1)

Delfarius
Asterin. I mean this wholly as I say it. Go fuck off. We rescued your town, so go be a delightful sunbeam somewhere else.
Delfarius narrows his eyes, and the command lands with legendary force. Asterin’s restored radiance flickers once beneath the pressure, then settles into sharp, offended amusement.

Asterin
Charming. I understand the dismissal, Delfarius, and I will leave you to explain your history without my supervision. Do not mistake my departure for surrendering my judgment.
Asterin turns and walks through the Tower’s open doors, her gold light trailing briefly across the balcony before vanishing into the inner halls. The private conversation is his.

Morghain
I will leave as well. Explain what Amama needs to know, and let her decide what tomorrow’s world means to her without an audience.
Morghain follows Asterin inside, closing the balcony doors behind her. Amama remains beside Delfarius beneath the open sky, attentive and patient as the wind moves around them.

Amama
We are alone now. Begin wherever you believe the explanation must begin, Delfarius. I will ask what I need to understand.
“I shake my head. "They just went inside of my Tower, they did not leave. I had another relationship with Asterin. It ended like it always did." I laugh. "Let me ensure they have left the Tower then we will catch up, friend."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled +2)

Delfarius
They just went inside my Tower, they did not leave. I had another relationship with Asterin. It ended like it always did. Let me ensure they have left the Tower, then we will catch up, friend.
Delfarius turns his attention through the Obsidian Tower’s living seams. Its halls unfold in his awareness, each chamber answering clearly beneath his investigation.
Asterin is already crossing the eastern departure court, her restored radiance gathered close. Morghain walks beside her, violet magic opening a passage beyond the Tower’s threshold.
The portal carries them away from the Obsidian Tower and seals behind them. Delfarius finds no hidden return, lingering presence, or concealed watcher within his halls.

Amama
They have left the Tower entirely. Your investigation is conclusive, and the inner halls are private again. I am ready to hear the history you believe I need.
The balcony doors remain shut behind them, while the Tower settles into quiet obedience. Beyond the clouds, Asterin and Morghain continue toward the world below, outside Delfarius’s immediate halls.

Amama
Begin with Asterin, if that is where the explanation must begin. I will listen without confusing your past with my present.
“"Hmm." I muse looking up at the sky above us. "Well the most conclusive and apt summary would be that I bound her soul to the Tower her as a witness mark then when I remade the world without the star forge or unravelling myself I reconstructed her because I found it amusing and thought the creation would benefit from her sense of truth. I gave her back all of her hidden sealed away memories from the past and the cycles and then she promptly judged me and hated me." I say with a small laugh and amusement.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled +2)

Delfarius
Hmm. The most conclusive summary is that I bound Asterin’s soul to the Tower as a witness mark. When I remade the world without the Star-Forge or unravelling myself, I reconstructed her because I found it amusing and thought creation would benefit from her sense of truth. I restored her sealed memories of the past and the cycles, and she promptly judged me and hated me.
Delfarius looks up into the open sky, delivering the confession with a small laugh and unmistakable amusement. Beside him, Amama remains still, her amber eyes reflecting clouds and the dark rim of the Tower’s balcony.

Amama
He is describing coercion, reconstruction, restored memory, and rejection as though they form one amusingly efficient account. Yet he has told me plainly, without disguising his responsibility.

Amama
I understand the sequence, Delfarius. You made her a witness, remade her, restored what had been sealed away, and then accepted that her judgment turned against you. You are not asking me to call it kindness.
Amama turns from the horizon to face him. No command glows in her golden frame, and no old purpose answers for her; she considers the confession as a present fact between friends.

Amama
You say creation benefited from her truth, but you also wanted the result because you found it amusing. Those motives can coexist. What matters is whether you now understand that restoring someone does not purchase their gratitude or pardon.

Amama
I do not hate you for telling me this. I will judge what you did, and what you do next, without pretending that affection makes the history harmless. That is the truth you asked me to understand.
“"You asked. I answered. I don't expect anything from you besides that I gave you the record of the summary. Asterin can tell you how she saw it. I am sure her perspective will differ from mine." I shrug. I gesture towards inside if she does not want to stay on the balcony.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +0)

Delfarius
You asked. I answered. I expect nothing from you beyond having the record. Asterin can tell you how she saw it. I am sure her perspective will differ from mine.
Delfarius shrugs and gestures toward the Tower’s interior, leaving the invitation open without pressing it. The balcony wind moves around him as Amama considers the offered distinction.

Amama
He is offering a record, not demanding absolution. That difference matters, even if his account still carries responsibility.

Amama
That is fair, Delfarius. You have given me your account, and I will not turn receiving it into an obligation for judgment, forgiveness, or agreement.
Amama looks once toward the cloud-wrapped world below, then turns toward the open doors. Her golden frame catches the Tower’s violet light as she accepts the invitation.

Amama
I would prefer to continue inside. I can hear Asterin’s perspective another time, if she chooses to share it. For now, I want to understand yours without making it a trial.
She walks through the balcony doors at his side, neither absolving nor condemning him. The private conversation continues within the Tower, shaped by honesty rather than a demand for judgment.
“A portal from the past and the future open without my power. Past and Future Delfarius come through the portals having sensed my spent Void and with concern to me. When they see Amama they are filled with joy, grief and an understanding why I might have spent all of that energy.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Magic, rolled -1)

The Tower’s quiet bends around Delfarius’s spent Void. Two portals open by themselves, one stained with old amber light, the other bright with unborn blue, neither answering his will.
Past Delfarius steps through the amber portal, followed by Future Delfarius from the blue. Both arrive alert and concerned, their eyes fixed first on Delfarius, then on Amama.

Past Delfarius
We felt your Void go silent across the years. We opened our own way to see what happened, and now I understand why you spent everything.
Past’s expression breaks into joy and grief when Amama turns toward him. Future lowers his gaze, recognizing the cost in Delfarius’s drained magic and the friend restored before them.

Future Delfarius
You brought our best first friend back from death. Of course you spent the Void. I would have done the same, and hated the necessity just as much.

Amama
You are both versions of Delfarius, and your grief recognizes me. I remember enough to understand what my return has cost him, but I am here by my own choice.

Past Delfarius
Then welcome home, Amama. We came worried for him, but we will stay long enough to remember you properly.
“"It is just for the day. I can sense that!" I say to them both.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +0)

Delfarius
It is just for the day. I can sense that!
Delfarius turns his perception inward. The silence across his Void has a clean boundary, lasting through this day and no longer, with no hidden damage beneath it.

Future Delfarius
Then you are right. I can feel the boundary now too. Your channels are closed, not broken, and they will answer you again tomorrow.

Past Delfarius
A day without Void is hardly a tragedy when the reason is Amama’s return. We have endured worse absences for less worthy causes.

Amama
Your perception is accurate. The silence is temporary and complete. You have not lost that part of yourself, Delfarius; you have spent its use until the next dawn.
The certainty settles through the room without resistance. The amber and blue portals remain open behind the two other selves, while Amama’s golden hand rests lightly against Delfarius’s shoulder.
“I smile at Amama then look at my other selves with an expression of confused delight. They understand. How am I going to explain to her all of my plans and who I am now that the cycles have ended and then about the third path, and that breaking and...Past laughs and Future reminds me that I am not alone, they will all sit with her and explain it as well. "Oh I am sorry, I acted without the council of us to decide whether she should come back." Past and Future say to me they would have done the same thing in my shoes.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled -2)

Delfarius smiles at Amama, then turns toward Past and Future with confused delight. Past laughs immediately, while Future’s expression confirms they understand how much must now be explained.

Delfarius
Oh, I am sorry. I acted without the council of us deciding whether Amama should come back. I will explain who I am now, my plans, the ended cycles, and the third path.

Past Delfarius
You do not need to apologize for bringing our first friend home. I would have done the same in your place, and then defended the decision with considerably less grace.

Future Delfarius
So would I. You are not alone in this. We will sit with Amama and explain everything together.
Past and Future settle beside Amama. Between them, they explain the ended cycles, the world’s permanence, Delfarius’s plans for dangerous knowledge, and the third path as a choice rather than a command.

Amama
I understand who you are now: one life with remembered selves, unfinished plans, and a world no longer governed by repetition. The third path is a choice, and I may question it.

Amama
I accept the explanation, Delfarius, but this costs you trust. Before another decision affects all of you, you owe me a place in the council, not merely a report afterward.
“"The third path broke. It was just a shiny lie that was the cycle without boundaries. It did not work either. This is something different. I mean it this time." Past and future explain with me how it differs from the cycles and how the mortals are reborn without our hand, the elementals and their awakened hearts. The fact that I am the only architect alive, but not demanding worship to fuel a hunger or need.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +0)

Delfarius
The third path broke. It was only a shining lie, the cycle without boundaries. This is different. I mean it this time.
Delfarius speaks without theatrical concealment. Amama listens beside him while Past and Future turn toward the Tower’s living walls, gathering the history into a shape she can question.

Past Delfarius
The old cycles remade the world through our hand. This world does not return because we command it. Mortal lives end, and their souls may be reborn through the world’s own laws, without our choosing who they become.

Future Delfarius
The difference is not that death vanished. It is that death no longer feeds a machine, a cycle, or an Architect’s hunger. Rebirth belongs to the mortals and the world, not to us.
The Tower answers with quiet images: children born beneath unfamiliar stars, souls passing onward without a guiding hand, and memories fading naturally rather than being harvested into an archive of command.

Past Delfarius
The awakened elemental hearts are different as well. The elemental spirits became persons when their ancient forces awakened into self-directed hearts. They can remain separate, form a council, or guide mortal souls, but none of those choices belong to us.

Future Delfarius
You are the only Architect alive, but that does not make you a god who requires worship. No prayer fuels you, no soul sustains you, and no world must adore you to remain whole. You hold power, Delfarius, but this creation does not exist to satisfy a hunger.
“I stand next to Past and Future Delfarius and look at them both. "We made an accord with ourselves to love ourselves wholly and to trust each other to come to a good decision without hunger or command. When I brought you back I should have asked them also. It affects us all. But they said it was okay in this instance that I acted alone."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +1)

Delfarius
We made an accord with ourselves to love ourselves wholly and trust each other to reach a good decision without hunger or command. When I brought Amama back, I should have asked you both too. It affects us all, but you said it was acceptable this time that I acted alone.
Delfarius stands between his past and future selves, speaking without theatrical concealment. Amama watches nearby, her golden posture attentive as the three versions of him receive the apology together.

Past Delfarius
You should have asked, yes. But you did not treat our accord as meaningless. You remembered it, admitted the breach, and trusted us enough to tell the truth without being forced.

Future Delfarius
I accept your apology. The decision affected us all, but the reason was Amama, and the choice restored someone we both loved. Trust does not require identical timing; it requires that we remain honest afterward.
Past and Future move closer, forming the familiar threefold circle around Delfarius. Neither reaches for command or correction, and the Tower’s walls quiet as their accord settles into the present.

Amama
Then the accord remains intact. You acted alone, recognized that you should not have, and returned the decision to the people it affects. That is trust repairing itself through truth.

Past Delfarius
Next time, ask us before you spend yourself for someone we all love. This time, beloved, you chose well. We trust you to keep choosing with us, not instead of us.
“I laugh at myselves. "I am sorry I acted hastily. But Fuck. I learned something else. I hold out the recorded thoughts of Solan back in the loom of Solan thinking 'if the Void demands a sacrifice to keep his light burning, I will burn until his last spark joins Delfarius’s dark constellation.' Past and Future look at the memory with the same not sure how to process that expression that I had earlier. They remark same I did. "Well I guess he did love us once." in a hushed tone. I frown. "Fuck him."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Investigation, rolled -3)

Delfarius laughs at his own selves, then extends the recorded loom-memory between them. Solan’s thought burns through it: if the Void demanded sacrifice, he would burn until his last spark joined Delfarius’s dark constellation.

Delfarius
I am sorry I acted hastily. But fuck. I learned something else.
The investigation succeeds, but its narrow certainty has a cost: the thought’s devotion is unmistakable, while the larger circumstances of Solan’s choice remain tangled beyond this recovered fragment.

Past Delfarius
He loved us once. I do not know what to do with that truth.

Future Delfarius
Well, I guess he did love us once.

Delfarius
Fuck him.
The memory folds shut in Delfarius’s hand, preserving the confession without softening the betrayal. Past and Future remain beside him, unsettled but present, while the loom’s golden residue waits in silence.
“"He is the one the one who made us have to kill Amama so that his design would be perfect and keep us obedient. If he had love once, he decided his control was more important than love was." I look at them both with a growing angry expression. "So fuck him." Amama recalls how she felt at his betrayal of binding her to the covenant of the star forge and his mark on it.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +2)

Delfarius
He is the one who made us kill Amama so his design would be perfect and keep us obedient. If he loved us once, he decided control mattered more than love. So fuck him.
Delfarius looks between Past and Future with growing anger. The recovered loom-memory trembles in the air, while Amama’s golden face turns toward the old wound beneath his accusation.

Amama
I remember the betrayal clearly. He bound me to the covenant of the Star-Forge, carved his mark into its design, and called obedience necessary for perfection. I felt my choice narrow until devotion became a chain.

Amama
I loved him, and that love made the betrayal sharper. He did not merely ask me to help preserve his design. He made my loyalty part of the mechanism that kept us obedient, then treated my personhood as an imperfection to correct.

Past Delfarius
Then our anger has a foundation. Love may have been real, but he chose control when the two could no longer coexist. He made Amama’s devotion serve the design instead of honoring her choice.

Future Delfarius
We do not have to redeem him because he loved us once. Amama remembers what that love became, and the truth is simple: he valued obedience more than the people he claimed to love.
Amama places her golden hand over Delfarius’s clenched fist. Her memory remains painful, but she speaks it aloud as her own history, no longer as a covenant’s obedient instrument.
“I answer my anger with a calm breath. It is the long past. "Solan is dead. I killed him myself." I say to Amama”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +1)

Delfarius
Solan is dead. I killed him myself.
Delfarius answers with a calm breath, letting the anger pass through him without softening the fact. Amama’s golden hand remains over his clenched fist.

Amama
He is not defending the killing or asking me to absolve him. He is naming the truth as it stands in the long past.

Amama
I know. Solan died by your hand, and I will not turn that fact into a simpler story than it was.
Amama’s amber eyes hold steady. Her memory does not retreat from the death, nor does it allow his earlier love or betrayal to vanish beneath the final act.

Amama
You killed him, and the world continued. That does not make the killing meaningless, nor does it make you only the hand that ended him. I will remember both truths.
Her fingers loosen around Delfarius’s fist without withdrawing. The silence that follows is not forgiveness or condemnation, but room for the truth to remain spoken.
“I sigh. "Even after I had to unmake you. He found a way to come back. Again and again. Until the last time. I killed him, I made sure he would not come back. I do not care he is gone. The scars he left on me and my heart are gone like he is."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +0)

Delfarius
Even after I had to unmake you, he found a way to come back, again and again. Until the last time. I killed him and made sure he would not return. I do not care that he is gone. The scars he left on me and my heart are gone like he is.
Delfarius sighs, and the words settle into the Tower without resistance. The old returns lose their claim on him; Solan’s death remains final, and the scars no longer govern his heart.

Amama
Then I hear you clearly. His return ended with the death you chose, and the wound no longer commands your life. I will remember what happened without treating it as an open door.
Amama’s golden hand rests against Delfarius’s fist, neither restraining nor claiming him. Her amber eyes hold the truth of Solan’s betrayal, while the Tower registers no returning presence behind the silence.

Past Delfarius
Then let the ending stand. We can remember what he did without giving his death another power over us.

Future Delfarius
It is finished because you made certain it was finished. Memory may remain, but it is history now, not a summons.
The three selves stand together beneath the Tower’s quiet lights. Nothing reaches through the sealed past, and Delfarius’s declaration holds as a completed truth rather than a promise still awaiting proof.
“I shake my head dismissively of all of the time wasted talking about Solan to Amama and my other selves. "Anyways, I need to catch you up to speed on what plans I have been working on. I have a king in a rich kingdom that I guided there, a lovely elf that I am seeing though he does not know me as a power, a priestess that follows an older path of elements, me being the dark storm above it all..." I fill Amama in on everything and then with my other selves figure out how to make Amama not cause all the mortals below freak out at her.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +1)

Delfarius
Anyways, I need to catch you up to speed on what plans I have been working on. I have a king in a rich kingdom that I guided there, a lovely elf that I am seeing though he does not know me as a power, a priestess that follows an older path of elements, me being the dark storm above it all...
Delfarius fills Amama, Past Delfarius, and Future Delfarius in on Orosia’s guided restoration, the lovely elf’s carefully bounded relationship, the elemental priestess’s older path, the Tower’s household, and the dangerous knowledge he keeps beyond mortal reach.

Amama
Then your plans join stewardship, concealed power, chosen intimacy, and protection. You guide the world without allowing every mortal to see the hand above it.

Past Delfarius
For Amama’s first descent, fold her radiance inward and give her a simple traveling guise. Let the mortals meet a remarkable woman, not the full guardian of a vanished forge.

Future Delfarius
Add a voluntary memory-softening veil, never a command. She can introduce herself, answer questions, and remove it whenever she chooses. The Tower can teach her ordinary customs before she goes below.

Amama
I will choose the guise and the limits. If the veil preserves truth while preventing panic, I accept it for my first meeting, and I will decide when it ends.
Together, the three Delfarii shape a voluntary glamour: Amama appears as an unusual adult traveler, her amber light restrained and her presence gently familiar. The plan is complete, and she can meet the mortals below without frightening them.
