Delfarius stands above the cloud tops on the highest peak, the wind clawing at his coat while the Bluee mountains spread beneath him. Below, the Obsidian Sanctuary sits on the second peak like a bright lie that never learned how to die.

His gaze drifts to the burned side of the forest, blackened earth below the green line, and his grin turns colder, sharper. The sanctuary is the old wound in plain sight, the place where peace still pretends it can outlast him.

Delfarius

Delfarius

It still stands.

Delfarius growls under his breath and turns from the smoke-scarred trees toward the sanctuary path. The thought of the tower below, obedient and waiting, answers in him like a second heartbeat.

Delfarius

Delfarius

It has been so long since I've visited the sanctuary, I should remedy that.

Far below, the sanctuary’s pale stone catches the light, unchanged for the moment. Somewhere on the second peak, Mira will feel the weave shift when he begins the descent.

Delfarius lets the mountain take his weight, and the clouds answer under his boots like packed frost. He moves in a straight, silent line across the sky, cloak trailing, eyes fixed on the pale stone below.

The second peak slides beneath him, the sanctuary growing larger with every unhurried step. The burned forest edge stays to one side, a black scar under the green, while the path and terraces below drift into alignment.

He comes to a stop directly above the Obsidian Sanctuary, balanced over its roofline as if the air were a ledge built for him alone. The mountain wind tightens around his coat, then settles.

The weave shifts again... and now it gathers overhead.

Below, the sanctuary’s pale angles catch the afternoon light, but the calm in them thins. An old stillness gives way to something watchful, as if the place has felt a hand laid on its throat.

From the cloudline, a faint red thrum answers once, hidden deep in the tower-bound air. Delfarius has the height, the line, and the sanctuary beneath him, all at once.

Quest Complete

Reach the Obsidian Sanctuary

Mira took her duty to the sanctuary seriously, I muse to myself. I lay down on the cloud like it is a bed and look over the side and call down to Mira. "Hello Mira, how is it down there?" I let my laughter echo down to her, dark and menacing.

Delfarius settles onto the cloud as if it were a lord’s couch, one arm draped loose while the mountain wind combs his cloak. He tips his head over the edge and lets his laughter roll downward in a slow, dark echo.

Delfarius

Delfarius

Hello, Mira. How is it down there?

The words fall cleanly to the sanctuary below, and the hidden red thrum answers with a faint, pleased pulse. The peaceful air around the pale stone roof shivers, as though it has been told to listen.

Mira

Mira

Too quiet for comfort, now. That means you are here, or something like you is.

Her voice rises thinly from the entrance terraces, guarded but steady. She does not flee, she plants herself under the roofline and looks up, measuring him against the mountain and the sky.

If you have come to mock the sanctuary, say it plainly. If you have come to claim it, say that too.

Delfarius’s laughter lingers over the peak, and the sanctuary’s hush cracks around it. Below, Mira holds her ground, but the place no longer feels untouched, it feels addressed.
