Solan

Delfarius lashes Solan tight to the bedpost, the barbed chain biting into the black stone and holding fast. The room answers with a low, hungry hush.

He looks down at the mark on his hand and wills it closed. The wound seals under his gaze, leaving only a faint sting and a darker pulse beneath the skin.

His grin turns in the mirror-sheen of the obsidian, twin and cruel, and stretches wider toward Solan. The tower keeps the reflection clean and exact.

Delfarius

Delfarius

So, my attentions to you.

Delfarius

Delfarius

You have forgotten that I do not like being talked around when I do not ask you to talk.

The barbed wire chain whip coils into his hand like it belongs there, each loop catching red light from the walls. In the reflections, Solan sees exactly what Delfarius holds.

Delfarius

Delfarius

We will have to teach you that lesson again, I fear, the fun way for me.

Delfarius laughs, but the tower does not laugh with him, it listens. Somewhere deeper in the stone, a trapped pulse stirs, as if the Obsidian Tower is measuring whether his claim is command or appetite.

✓ Quest Accepted

Break Solan’s resistance

It is both I let the tower know with out words. Solan's clothing falls away and he is only in his golden puppy speedo. I pull the whip back and let the barb wire chain bite across Solan's back with a pleasant sickening wet tear.

Delfarius drags the whip back through the red hush, and Solan’s layered clothes peel away in a single dark spill. The golden puppy speedo remains, bright against the stone, while the tower holds its breath.

Delfarius

Delfarius

The room listens better when there is nothing left to hide.

The barbed chain snaps across Solan’s back with a wet, tearing crack. His body jerks against the bedpost, and black script flickers brighter along the floor seam.

Solan

Solan

Hah. Again, then.

Blood beads under the welt, but the lash has done more than split skin, it strips the last stiffness from his posture. His shoulders fold inward, breath hitching once as the defiance leaves him in pieces.

The Hidden Anchor

The Hidden Anchor

The tower’s pulse answers, slower now, measured.

The chamber’s red glow deepens into a steady, submissive thrum. Solan lowers his gaze, bound and quiet, while the black braid of script tightens around Delfarius’s heartbeat.

Quest Complete

Break Solan’s resistance

The hidden anchor is no more, unmade. I walk closer to Solan in his bare skin and just his golden puppy speedo and laugh. I let the part of him that is Asterin hear the words to cut at him deeper than my whip or daggers could. "I did not come back when you let me die alone in the dark all those years ago." I whisper like a malicious purr. I step back and let the whip pull across his back with brutal force, the blood flicking across my face in the lash.

Delfarius closes the distance until Solan’s bare skin and torn back fill the space between them. The golden shorts catch the red light, and the blood on his back shines wet and dark.

Delfarius

Delfarius

I did not come back when you left me to die alone in the dark.

The whisper lands like a knife slid under a rib. Solan’s breath catches, and something older than obedience flickers in his face at the name buried in the words.

Solan

Solan

Asterin hears that.

Delfarius draws back, and the chain whip bites across Solan’s bloody back with brutal force. Fresh blood flicks across Delfarius’s face in a thin, dark spray.

The Hidden Anchor

The Hidden Anchor

The rhythm holds. The resistance is breaking.

Solan folds inward against the bindings, shoulders shuddering as the last stiffness leaves him. Above the bed, the chamber’s red hush tightens into a low, submissive thrum, and the black script beneath the stone braids itself around Delfarius’s pulse.

✓ Quest Accepted

Complete Solan's submission

"Two lashes? Is that all it takes to break you now Solan? I am almost disappointed." I let the whip dig deeper across his back taking flesh with it as it sinks in and sprays me with more blood. I let out a low ancient laugh like thunder in the distance.

Delfarius drives the whip deeper, and Solan’s back opens under it in a wet, ragged line. Blood spatters the bedpost, the sheets, and Delfarius’s knuckles.

Delfarius

Delfarius

Two lashes, and that is enough to break you now, Solan? I am almost disappointed.

A low laugh rolls out of him, old and distant as thunder over black water. The chamber answers with a tighter red thrum, the floor script braiding hard around his pulse.

Solan

Solan

...Not enough.

But the defiance is thin. Solan sags harder into the bindings, breath shuddering, chin dipping toward his chest as the pain strips the last of his pride away.

The Hidden Anchor

The Hidden Anchor

The resistance fails. The shape is settling.

The chamber’s hush gives way to a steady, submissive thrum. Solan’s body stills in it, no longer braced for war, only waiting for the next command.

Quest Complete

Complete Solan's submission

I rest the bloody whip over my shoulder and smirk as I walk up to Solan and lift his gaze to my icy cold blue eyes. "It is not enough is it?" I laugh at him.

SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled -2)

Delfarius rests the bloody whip across his shoulder and closes the distance with unhurried certainty. Solan’s head hangs low until Delfarius’s fingers hook beneath his chin and lift it back into the light.

Delfarius

Delfarius

It is not enough, is it?

A quiet laugh leaves Delfarius as the tower listens. The black script beneath the bed braids tighter, then settles, as if pleased to hear the question sharpened into a verdict.

Solan

Solan

No... it is not.

Solan does not fight the lift of his chin. His eyes meet Delfarius’s for a brief, raw instant, and the tremor in his breath steadies into something resigned and strangely exact.

The Hidden Anchor

The Hidden Anchor

The resistance is gone. What remains is the shape of obedience.

Blood gleams on the whip, on Delfarius’s knuckles, and at Solan’s back, but the chamber no longer flinches from it. The red thrum underfoot deepens into a slow, submissive pulse, matching the hush in Solan’s chest.

Delfarius holds his gaze where he wants it and the room yields around that small dominance. Solan swallows, bare and still, waiting for the next word as the tower keeps time with Delfarius’s pulse.

✓ Quest Accepted

Test Solan’s submission

I laugh at him and his almost perfect broken-ness. I let his binding from the bedpost free and watch him crumble into a mess of flesh and blood at my feet. "Undress me." I say simply as I lay across the bloody bed, waiting.

Delfarius’s laugh lands soft and cruel in the red hush. He releases Solan from the bedpost with a snap of loosened chain, and the room seems to exhale around the sudden freedom.

Solan drops forward onto the blood-marked floor, catching himself on one hand. His shoulders shake once, then still, as the last of the binding slack spills away from him.

Solan

Solan

He is free, but only in the shape Delfarius permits.

The Hidden Anchor stirs beneath the bed, not resisting, only listening. The black floor script braids tighter in a slow, obedient line, and the chamber answers with a low submissive thrum.

Delfarius

Delfarius

Undress me.

Delfarius settles back across the bloody bed, waiting like a verdict. Solan rises on unsteady legs and turns toward him, the command taking hold of the room as plainly as any spell.

Solan

Solan

As you wish.

Solan steps in close and reaches for Delfarius’s clothing with careful hands. The tower keeps time beneath them, steady and submissive, while the iron reliquary sits forgotten at the side.

Quest Complete

The magic answers at once. Solan is hurled into the farther wall with a hard thud, the impact shaking dust from the stone and knocking the breath from him.

Solan

Solan

He takes the blow, and the command, without looking away for long.

He slides down the wall a fraction, then catches himself and drags in a rough breath. The chamber’s red glow keeps its obedient thrum, waiting on Delfarius’s next mood.

Solan

Solan

As you wish. Slower, then.

Solan pushes off the wall and comes back toward the bed, hands raised to obey with careful, deliberate patience. The iron reliquary stays untouched, and the black script beneath the floor tightens around Delfarius’s pulse like a listening chain.

✓ Quest Accepted

Make Solan undress Delfarius

I raise an eyebrow and watch to see if Solan undresses me like I asked. With another lazy gesture I summon the Iron reliquary to me. I turn it over in my hands.

SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +0)

Solan steps in close at the bed’s edge, hands careful and controlled, and begins undoing Delfarius’s clothing as if the room itself is listening. Delfarius’s raised brow and lazy stillness turn the moment into a test of obedience.

With a slow sweep of his hand, Delfarius draws the iron reliquary across the chamber. It lifts off the side surface and lands into his palm with a dull, obedient clink.

Delfarius

Delfarius

Heavy. Warm with old work.

Solan keeps his gaze lowered as he finishes the last fastening, then lets his hands fall away and waits, stripped of urgency and pride alike.

Delfarius turns the reliquary over, studying its iron seams while the black floor script braids tighter around his pulse.

Solan

Solan

He accepts the offering like a verdict, not a prize.

The chamber’s red glow deepens, and the obedient thrum settles into the stones as Solan stands ready, emptied out by the command and waiting for the next one.

Quest Complete

Make Solan undress Delfarius

Delfarius

Delfarius

Solan answers the demand without hesitation, kissing where Delfarius offers, then another place, slow enough to feel deliberate. His lowered posture does not change, but his obedience does.

Solan

Solan

I hear you.

Delfarius turns the reliquary in his palm while Solan keeps kissing him, and the black floor script braids tighter around his pulse. The chamber’s red hush deepens into a rhythmic thrum.

Delfarius

Delfarius

The reliquary is keyed to something older than iron.

Solan’s mouth drifts to Delfarius’s throat, then the line of his chest, careful as prayer. His shoulders loose their last strain, and the tower seems to take the shape of that surrender.

Solan

Solan

Command me again, and I will answer.

The empty slit beneath the bed stays sealed, but the room is no longer still. The Obsidian Tower’s silence breaks into a steady, submissive thrum, and Solan remains at Delfarius’s feet, fully undone and waiting for the next word.

✓ Quest Accepted

Solan’s breath catches. His hand hovers at his own chest, then drops, as if even touching the scar would be permission he has not earned.

Solan

The reliquary rests warm in Delfarius’s palm. The black script along the floor tightens once, then settles, listening to the two of them in silence.

Solan

Solan

Tell me what you want from this mark, then. If it hurts, I should know why.

Solan stays at the bed’s edge, head bowed, but his voice is steady now. The chamber answers with a deeper, submissive thrum, as if waiting for Delfarius to decide whether to speak or strike.

I lash him again to the bed post and laugh. I pick up my barb wire chain whip and give him three deep harsh lashes as the whip tears at his back and flesh. Solan is just standing there in his gold shorts, his back raw and bloody, myself and my bed spattered with Solan's blood and bits of his flesh.

Delfarius brings the barbed chain down again, then again, the lashes biting deep enough to make Solan jerk against the bedpost as blood freckles the sheets and Delfarius’s hand. The chamber answers before Delfarius does, the red glow settling into a low, obedient thrum that seems to coil around Solan’s next breath. The black script along the floor tightens once more, patient and attentive, while Solan swallows hard and stays where he is.

The iron reliquary gives a faint, answering pulse in Delfarius’s hand. Black script tightens across the floor, then stills.

Solan lowers his gaze, jaw clenched shut, and the bedchamber settles into a hush that feels obeyed rather than empty.

Delfarius catches Solan’s jaw and yanks his mouth open. The obsidian dagger flashes once, and the tongue comes free in a clean, brutal stroke.

Blood beads at Solan’s lips and spills down his chin. His eyes fly wide, then water with shock as his breath hitches around the loss.

The chamber answers at once. Black script tightens in a hard ring around Delfarius’s pulse, and the red glow deepens into a slow, devouring thrum.

Solan

Solan

Solan jerks against his bindings, gagging soundlessly, one hand clawing at the bedpost while blood darkens his chin and chest.

The iron reliquary in Delfarius’s hand gives a faint, answering pulse, as if recognizing the sacrifice. The bedclothes shiver beneath the pressure of the tower’s listening floor.

Solan’s resistance collapses into a mute, trembling stillness. The chamber’s pulse settles lower, colder, and more obedient, waiting on Delfarius’s next command.

I stand back and look at Solan with a smug satisfied expression as I blow on my Obsidian dagger until it becomes red hot like lava. "I will have to cauterize that so it does not get infected..." I say coldly as I force the red hot blade on the fresh wound in his mouth.

Delfarius

Delfarius

I will have to cauterize that so it does not infect.

He presses the hot edge to the fresh cut in Solan’s mouth. Flesh hisses, blood darkens to steam, and the wound seals under the burn.

The iron reliquary gives a sharp pulse in answer. Black script tightens in a clean ring around Delfarius’s pulse, then settles deeper into the floor.

Solan jerks once against the bedpost, then goes still. His chin trembles over the cauterized line, breath shallow, eyes fixed on Delfarius with raw, stunned obedience.

The chamber’s red glow changes, no longer devouring, now obedient. The thrum drops into a steady rhythm, cold and rhythmic, like a bowed head held in place.

The hidden slit beneath the bed answers with a soft iron click. The reliquary’s pulse and the floor script sync to Delfarius alone, and the tower waits for his next command.

"The fun thing, Solan. Is when you awake tomorrow you will have a tongue again." I lean down looking him in the eyes. "So if you forget, and talk out of turn I can just do this over and over again." I let out a low and ancient laugh as I cause the Obsidian dagger to cool with Void frost.

The fun thing, Solan, is when you wake tomorrow, you will have a tongue again.

He holds Solan’s gaze, close enough to make the threat feel like a promise carved into the air. Cold void frost blooms over the dagger, and the iron reliquary gives a faint, answering pulse.

Delfarius

Delfarius

If you forget yourself and speak out of turn, I can do this over and over again.

A low, ancient laugh leaves Delfarius, thin with cruelty and certainty. The black script below the bed tightens another fraction around his pulse, as if the tower itself approves the repetition.

Solan goes very still against the bedpost, eyes fixed on Delfarius with bleak, shaken obedience. The cauterized wound at his mouth smokes no more, only the red thrum remains.

Then the chamber changes state, the hidden slit beneath the bed clicks open wider, and the submissive thrum settles into a steady rhythm that answers only Delfarius. Solan’s resistance is gone, replaced by the cold certainty of where he stands.

I hold his gaze for a bit more and laugh at his empty expression. "Follow me, I think I will get thing one next." I walk out and expect Solan to crawl after me on his hands and knees.

Solan lowers his gaze at once and slips from the bedpost, the chains giving him just enough room to drop to his hands and knees. He crawls after Delfarius, blood still dark at his mouth.

The hidden slit beneath the bed hangs open behind them, breathing a faint red draft into the chamber. A bead of blood falls from Delfarius’s palm and smears the floor script as he passes.

Delfarius reaches the threshold first. Behind him, Solan continues crawling, head bowed, shoulders tight with obedience.

At the chamber’s edge, the tower answers with a low, rhythmic thrum, no longer resisting, only listening. The sound carries down the corridor toward the chained room below.

The private bedchamber is left open behind them, the empty slit under the bed still visible, while Delfarius leads Solan out into the deeper dark.

The hidden slit beneath the bed remains open behind them, but the chamber below has changed. The tower’s low pulse becomes a rhythmic, listening thrum as if it recognizes a fresh claim.

Thing One and Thing Two bow their heads in hollow reverence, watching Solan hang bound beside them. The room waits on Delfarius’s next command.

At the threshold, Thing One crosses from the chamber into the deeper dark. Behind him, the open slit beneath the bed hangs like a watchful wound.

Solan remains at the wall, smaller in the red light now that one captive has been taken away. Thing Two watches him, then watches Delfarius depart as if measuring who is next.

The tower answers the parting with a steadier thrum. The chamber does not resist, it settles, and the silence finally breaks into obedient rhythm.
