Breach at the Kingdom Armory

The Kingdom’s interior is a maze of rusted corrugated metal and desperate industry. Rain drums a relentless, hollow rhythm against the makeshift roof, and the scent of wet ash hangs heavy in the stagnant air. Seth walks past a row of makeshift shelters, his boots sinking into the dark, red-clay mud that has turned the courtyard into a quagmire.

This place is a powder keg. If Negan pushes any harder, the whole Kingdom burns from the inside out.

A sudden, sharp clatter echoes from the armory sector. Seth pivots, hand dropping instinctively to the grip of his Desert Eagle. Miller jogs around the corner, his face pale and slick with rain, waving Seth over toward the western perimeter wall.

Miller

Miller

Seth We have a problem. The scouts found a fresh breach near the fuel tanks. Something—or someone—has been inside the wire.

Seth

Seth

If the Saviors are already inside the perimeter, the King's walls aren't worth the scrap metal they're built from.

Miller

Miller

Seth Don't just stand there. If we don't seal that breach now, the next patrol that rolls in won't need an invite.

Breach at the Kingdom Armory
Seth

Seth

Calm down, Miller. It was just a rat. Stop letting the shadows get to you before we even make contact with the enemy.

Miller

Miller

Seth A rat? Seth, this hole is six inches wide. And look at the tracks in the mud. Those aren't rodent prints.

Seth steps forward to inspect the perimeter fence, his tone dismissive, but the words die in his throat. He finds not a rat, but a jagged, freshly-cut segment of chain-link. A strip of dark fabric clings to the wire, fluttering in the wind. A sudden, sharp whistle pierces the heavy rain—too rhythmic, too human—followed by the distinct sound of a bolt-action rifle cycling from the darkness beyond the fuel tanks.

Seth

Seth

I just walked us both into a kill zone.

Miller

Miller

Seth Tell me that's a rat, too.

A suppressed shot rings out, the bullet shearing the metal upright inches from Seth's head, sending a spray of sparks and twisted wire into his face.

Seth

Drop the weapon, Miller. Get behind the tank.

Miller

Miller

Seth They're flanking us. That wasn't just one shooter.

Seth

Seth

The cadence of that whistle... that’s not a random bandit. It’s Saviors. They’re baiting us into the yard to draw out the rest of the guard.

Seth lunges, tackling Miller behind the rusted corrugated fuel tank just as a second volley of bullets tears through the space they occupied a heartbeat ago. The metallic pinging of rounds striking the steel container echoes like a bell. Seth draws his Desert Eagle, his hand steady despite the rain-slicked adrenaline coursing through him. Silence returns to the yard, heavy and suffocating, broken only by the rhythmic dripping of water against metal. He knows the tactical disadvantage. They are pinned, and the damp soil prevents a quiet retreat. He looks at the armory entrance, then back toward the dark, jagged hole in the fence where the shadows seem to be coalescing into human shapes.

Seth

Seth

I have one shot to clear the path, or we're both dead in the mud.

As I crawl through the mud get around the savior go to run at him and then he sees me then we end up in a physical altercation as Miller can't take the shot because he might end up hitting me savior gets the upper hand and goes on top of me as a lunge up and fight a junk out of his throat killing him I'm leaving his blood tripping onto my face

Critical hit for 4 damageSavior 1 is down

Seth discards caution, abandoning the cover of the fuel tank to surge through the sludge. He closes the distance in a blur of motion, colliding with the Savior before the man can track him with his rifle. They tumble into the grime, limbs tangling in a desperate scramble for dominance. The Savior manages to pin Seth beneath his weight, a gloved hand forcing Seth’s head back into the cold mud, but Seth is faster. With a surge of primal strength, Seth strikes, his hand closing around the man's throat with lethal intent. A sickening wet sound cuts through the rain. The Savior’s struggle ceases instantly, his body going slack as a warm, iron-scented spray splatters across Seth’s face. Seth pushes the dead weight off his chest, his breath hitching in his lungs as he rises to a crouch.

This isn't how I wanted to build this world. But it’s the only language they speak.
