The Kingdom’s interior is a stark contrast to the chaos left behind at Alexandria. The air here tastes of ozone and damp earth, heavy with the scent of pine needles and industrial lubricant. Thick, unnatural fog curls around the edges of the Great Hall, obscuring the upper catwalks and muffling the sound of distant, rhythmic clanking from the forge.

Seth
This place is a fragile bubble. One good push and the whole structure comes down. We need to stop reacting and start dictating the pace of this war.
Seth stands by the central stone hearth, his hand resting on the hilt of his weapon. A young scout, visibly shaking, approaches him with a message from Ezekiel. Through a jagged tear in the hall’s side wall, Seth catches sight of the shipping crates from the terminal. They are pitted with deep, erratic gouges, as if something with massive, serrated claws has been testing the metal since the fog rolled in.

Seth
Scout Bring the message here. And tell the King that if he wants to win, we stop waiting for the walls to hold. We start burning the forest down around them.
“Tell scout to tell king Ezekiel about Alexandria's fall then Shane walks in with Morgan insisting I help him with hunting the rest of the whisper bastards who did this to Alexandria I tell him I need to stay here and make sure it doesn't happen here too and he says I would do it for you and you know that besides your people are trained mine are just farmers”
SUCCESS (Good Diplomacy, rolled +1)

Seth
The scout pales, trembling as he clutches the dispatch. I lean in, my voice a low, gravel-ridden command.

Scout
Listen to me. Alexandria has fallen. Tell Ezekiel that the walls aren't salvation, they are coffins. We start clearing the perimeter, or we burn the woods until there is nowhere left for them to hide.
The heavy oak doors groan open once more. Shane strides in, his face tight with controlled rage, Morgan trailing him like a shadow.

Shane
Seth We need to hunt down the rest of those Whisperer bastards. They left Alexandria a slaughterhouse, and they aren't done.

Seth
I cannot leave this place undefended. If they hit The Kingdom while I’m hunting ghosts, everything I’ve built dies here.

Shane
I’m staying. I have to lock this place down. My people are trained for this, Shane. If I leave now, this hall becomes the next grave.

Shane
Seth I’d do the same for you, and you know it. My people are just farmers, Seth. They need a soldier out there.
