Seth and Blake trade the suffocating walls of the Kingdom for the vast, grey expanse of the coastal highway. The transition from the safety of the colony to the biting, salt-choked air of the shoreline is jarring. Under an oppressive, overcast sky, the road stretches out like a scar across the landscape, littered with the husks of abandoned vehicles and the skeletal remains of a forgotten era.

Seth I see a service station up ahead, Dad. It looks like it might have a working pump or at least some cover from this wind.
Seth tightens his grip on the heavy sheriff revolver. The smell of brine and rot hangs thick in the mist. As they crest the final rise, the ocean reveals itself, churning and dark against the jagged cliffs. They move off the asphalt and into the shelter of the station's rusted canopy, but the sound of dragging feet on gravel stops them cold. They aren't alone.

Remember, Blake, we are only here to collect some gas. Nothing more.
Seth keeps his steel-bladed hand ready, his gaze scanning the shadows of the station. Before he can advance, the rusted door creaks open. Miller and Stella emerge, moving with practiced caution.

The perimeter is clear so far. We cleared the shop front. Let's head inside and loot whatever is left before the wind shifts.

Keep it quiet. We heard movement near the back bays, but they might just be trapped walkers.
Seth
If the back is blocked, we secure the front fast. I need to make sure Blake stays behind the line of fire. These two seem capable enough, but I don't trust their assessment of the back bays yet.
The group advances toward the glass-strewn entrance, the smell of stale fuel replaced by the metallic tang of dried blood.
