Seth, Kaley, Miller, and the prisoner leave the service courtyard behind and hurry through a low, torchlit passage under the armory. Dust shakes from the stone as the buried hatch behind them keeps thudding. The corridor opens into the Kingdom’s lower tunnel, cold and damp, with rusted pipes sweating overhead.

Kaley
This way. If that hatch gives, we do not want to be in the courtyard when it does.
They reach a narrow stairwell that drops into the old drainage works beneath the east wall. The air changes fast, wet earth, stagnant water, and a faint chemical stink. A maintenance lantern throws a weak cone over a flooded junction and a locked steel bulkhead.

Miller
That door is newer than the rest. Someone has been down here recently.

Seth
Move. Quietly.
The prisoner stumbles, and Seth catches him before he hits the water. Ahead, a grated side tunnel rattles once, then goes still. From somewhere deeper in the drainage maze comes the scrape of metal on concrete, slow and deliberate.

The Prisoner
You should have stayed upstairs...

Get past the locked steel bulkhead
“Kayley get men to seal that hatch permanently miller send men to investigate for the other men because the prisoner said he wasn't alone I'm going back to beat the hell out of him I say”
SUCCESS (Good Intimidation, rolled +2)

Seth
Kaley, get men on that hatch. Seal it permanent. Miller, send a pair to sweep for the others. The prisoner said he is not alone.
Seth steps through the knee-deep water and points up toward the rattling grate. His steel hand flashes once in the lantern light, and the tunnel seems to shrink around the gesture.

Kaley
Understood. Nobody comes down behind us alive.

Miller
You heard him. Two on the rear hatch, two to clear the side run.
Miller snaps his arm out, and nearby guards break away at once. Boots splash back toward the stairwell while another pair moves into the dark beside the bulkhead.

Seth
I am going back to beat the hell out of him.
The prisoner flinches as Seth turns on him. The fear in his face breaks hard, and the low scrape deeper in the drainage works stops dead.

The Prisoner
No, wait... there is a second route. Behind the lock. I saw the marks.
Miller lunges to the bulkhead, grabs the newer latch cover, and wrenches it free. Behind it, a narrow inspection seam shows fresh pry scars and damp concrete dust, proof someone has already worked this door recently.

Get past the locked steel bulkhead
“You heard him miller block that off now I got this piece of human shit and I throw him back in the cell to interrogate him and torture him”
SUCCESS (Legendary Strength, rolled +1)

Seth hurls the prisoner backward, and the man slams into the wet wall with a choked gasp. Miller snaps toward the rear hatch instead of the noise, jaw tight, and plants himself by the seam.

Miller
Now. I’m sealing it.
Kaley rushes in beside him, wrenching the cover into place as water drips off the rim. The hatch shudders, then starts to bite shut under her hands.

The Prisoner
No, no... not back there.
Seth catches the prisoner by the collar and drags him clear of the hatch, then drives him toward the side passage with brutal ease. The man’s boots skid across the slick floor.
Behind Seth, the inspection seam gives a dull metallic click. A narrow line of darkness opens under the bulkhead, showing scraped steel and a hidden channel beyond.

Miller
I’ve got the hatch. Take him. Talk fast if he knows something.
From deeper in the drainage works, the scraping sound comes again, closer this time, and all three men stiffen at once.
“I am as I start walking into his cell Stella what's past and says what the hell's going on the guards were talking about some sort of breach and I told her to go talk to Miller and kayley about it I got business to attend to then throw the prisoner in his cell and start beating him to a pulp”
SUCCESS (Legendary Melee Combat, rolled +3)

Seth shoves the prisoner through a rusted cell door and the man stumbles inside, catching himself on the bars with a strangled cry.

Seth
What the hell is going on? The guards are talking about a breach.
Seth drives the question at him with one hard step, and the prisoner shrinks back against the wall.

The Prisoner
I don’t know, I swear, I just heard them talking. Miller, Kaley, they know more than I do.
Seth jerks his chin toward the tunnel and turns away from the cell like he already has better things to do.

Seth
Go talk to Miller and Kaley. I’ve got business to attend to.
The prisoner flinches at the iron certainty in Seth’s voice, and the cell door swings inward behind him with a wet scrape.
Then Seth unloads on him, fists hammering fast in the cramped cell, each impact pinning the man deeper into the corner until the prisoner can only cover up and choke on his fear.
When it stops, the prisoner is folded against the bars, blood on his lip, and he’s staring at the floor where a dropped key ring skids into the puddle at Seth’s boots.
“I beat the prisoner to death until his brains are everywhere”
SUCCESS (Legendary Melee Combat, rolled -2)

The prisoner slumps farther down the bars, then stops moving. Water trembles around the dropped key ring as Seth stands over him in the stink of rust and damp.
The hidden seam in the bulkhead breathes cold air from the dark channel beyond. A faint scrape answers from inside, low and dragging.
Miller appears at the tunnel mouth, halting hard when he sees the cell. His eyes flick from Seth to the body and then to the open seam.

Miller
Jesus... Seth, you hear that? Something is back there.
The puddle ripples again, this time from deeper in the drain. The sound is closer, hidden behind the wall and moving like it knows the route.

Miller
If that passage leads under the armory, we need to move now.
Miller keeps his distance from the cell, one hand lifted to point at the seam while his other reaches for his weapon. The dark beyond the bulkhead answers with another scrape, and something wet drags against stone.
“It's one of the other Intruders he was coming to set the prisoner that I just brutally killed free I instantly shoot him in a skull killing him instantly and I say we're not trapped in here with them they're trapped in here with us order the cards to kill any Intruders on site in order the people to go unlock down and stay inside of their homes and be armed”
SUCCESS (Superb Firearms, rolled +1)

Miller flinches as Seth snaps his aim toward the seam. The hidden channel coughs out a man in dark gear, half-crouched and already turning into the light.
Seth fires once. The shot cracks through the tunnel and drops the intruder before he can shout.
The body slams into the wet stone and skids to a stop near the cell bars. Inside, the prisoner does not move.

Seth
We are not trapped in here with them. They are trapped in here with us.
Miller stares at Seth, then at the fallen man, then past the cracked seam as boots begin to pound somewhere in the tunnels beyond.

Seth
Card, kill any intruders on site. Lock down and stay inside your homes. Arm everyone.
The order bounces off the stone and races down the drainage works. From deeper in the dark, a second shape recoils at the gunshot, then scrapes backward into cover.
Miller jerks his head toward the passage, now wide enough to show fresh tracks in the slime, leading under the armory.
“Now that those secret entryways are sealed up we're going to kill them one by one and show them where the wrong people to fuck with”
SUCCESS (Legendary Tactics, rolled +0)

The tunnel answers Seth's order with a hard silence, then distant movement. Something deeper in the drainage works stirs and retreats under the armory, as if the hidden route has just been exposed to both sides.
Miller snaps his weapon up and points at the fresh tracks in the slime. He leans toward Seth, breathing fast, ready to follow or fire.

Miller
You hear that? They know we found it. Tell me what you want next.
Seth steps to the breached seam and takes the opening completely. His pistol tracks the dark passage while the blade on his steel hand catches the tunnel light.
From inside the hidden route comes a quick scrape, then a shove of boots against wet stone. The shape beyond the bend stays out of sight, but it is moving away from the body and toward the armory side.

Seth
Now we clear them one by one. Seal this route and hold it.
Miller nods once and lunges for the seam mechanism, jamming it down hard. The hidden channel narrows behind him, leaving fresh tracks, a dead intruder, and one last trail of wet footprints vanishing deeper under the armory.
A muffled voice echoes from farther in the dark, then cuts off as if someone heard the door close. The next choice belongs to Seth, the narrow passage still open just enough to push through or spring a trap.

“The guards managed to find them trying to climb the gate and sneak through town we have a public hanging the next day and hang them well all the civilians in the town Stone them to death while they're hung by the throat”
SUCCESS (Legendary Tactics, rolled +1)

Below the wall, the hidden route gives up its secret. Three men crouch in the muck near the armory side, frozen by the closing seam and the dead body behind Seth.
One of them starts for the ladder, then stops when he sees Seth's pistol and the blade on the steel hand.

Miller
There. That’s them. Hold still!
Seth drives the moment shut with a hard command, and the men in the passage do exactly that, trapped between the narrowing bulkhead and the tunnel bend.

Miller
You hear me? Down on your knees. Don’t make this worse.
A guard whistle cuts faintly from somewhere above the drainage works, then another answer sounds farther off, close enough to mean the breach is noticed.
At Seth's feet, a dropped key ring glints in the slime beside the cell bars, half buried but easy to grab.

Miller
We found them, Seth. What’s the play now?
