Seth and Miller leave the chained guard behind, his muffled cries lost to the wind as they abandon the depot. They travel under the cover of night, crossing the treacherous open fields that lead to the north ridge quarry. The air grows colder, biting at their skin, as they crest a hill and see the flickers of campfires deep within the stone basin below.

Seth
I am coming for you. I will not lose you to Gareth like I lost everything else.

Miller
Seth We are close. I can smell the smoke from here. If Gareth is holding your son at the processing shed, we need a way to descend without being spotted.

Seth
We do not need a way in. We need a way to end this. Check your magazine, Miller. We go down the ridge and we leave nothing behind but bodies.
The quarry floor is a graveyard of rusted machinery and shadows. Seth moves with a predator's grace, his prosthetic
“He sneaks up on a guard stabbing him through the back of the throat with prosthetic hand killing him instantly”
SUCCESS (Legendary Stealth, rolled -1)

fingers digging into the guard's collar, Seth pulls the man backward into the deep gloom behind a stack of rusted shipping containers. The guard gasps, but the sound dies instantly as Seth’s mechanical hand drives forward with precision, bypassing bone and severing the carotid. The guard goes limp, sliding silently into the gravel.

Seth
One down. These fools are distracted by their own arrogance. If they think they can hide behind this scrap metal, they are already dead.

Miller
Seth The perimeter is thinner than I expected. They must be concentrating their forces near the central fire. Do we push forward or flank from the eastern ridge?
Seth wipes a spray of crimson from his prosthetic knuckles, his eyes scanning the flickering shadows cast by the dying campfires below. The scent of ozone and burning pine hangs heavy in the air, masking the metallic tang of the kill.
“We see Gareth with some men walking to the query I go to rush instantly but miller reminds me about the danger in that and takes out silencer with a long scope and attached it to his rifle and said I'll use this you use your prosthetic and we'll take them out and kill the Gareth bastard slow”
SUCCESS (Legendary Tactics, rolled -1)

Miller
The scope is dialed in, Seth. I have a clean line on two of them by the supply crates. You take the one nearest the tunnel entrance. When I drop these two, the rest will scramble. That’s when you move.

Seth
Gareth. There he is. Walking like he owns the earth, thinking he’s untouchable. My hand aches, a phantom reminder of what he stole, but it’s a fuel I can use. I need to be a scalpel, not a sledgehammer. Patience, Seth. One movement, one life ended, one step closer to the end of his reign.
Seth tightens his grip on his combat blade, his stance dropping into a fluid, predatory crouch. Below, Gareth pauses to light a cigarette, his back turned toward the dark crevices where Seth hides. Miller’s finger whitens against the trigger of his scoped rifle, the silence of the quarry absolute until the inevitable crack of lead on bone.

Seth
The moment the first shot breaks the air, the chaos will be mine to command.
“We end up in a gunfight with gereth and his group a tense standoff bullets from each sides flying at each other miller manages to snipe multiple people with swift precision as I try for the flank at Gareth while he's running for my son Blake who is locked up in a type of shed”
SUCCESS (Superb Firearms, rolled -3)

The air shreds with the roar of AK-47 fire, echoing off the quarry walls. Sparks shower down as bullets chew through the rusted siding of the machinery. Miller drops a scout with a clean, rhythmic pulse of his rifle, turning the camp into a chaotic killbox. Seth sprints, boots sliding through loose shale, his eyes locked on Gareth.

Gareth
Not today, you one-handed freak! You want the boy, come through hell to get him!
He is panicking. He is shielding himself with a crate, fumbling for his holster while he stares at the shed. Blake is in there. I can see the hinges shaking.
Seth leaps over a collapsed beam, his Desert Eagle bucking in his grip. A bullet clips the edge of the metal crate, sending a spray of lead fragments toward Gareth. Gareth stumbles back, his hand snagging the shed door handle, but he turns just in time to see Seth closing the gap, a blur of motion fueled by cold, tactical fury.
