The railyard groans under the weight of the encroaching horde. Massive fissures split the concrete, sending clouds of choking dust into the damp, gray air. Seth grips the steering wheel of the scavenged SUV with his prosthetic hand, his knuckles white as he watches a support beam crash down just inches from the rear bumper.

Seth
We can't stay here. The earth is turning into a grave.

Miller
Seth We need to hit the main road and drive until the engine dies. Look out!
Seth floors the accelerator, the tires spinning on slick, grit-covered asphalt. The SUV smashes through a rusted security barrier, sending twisted metal flying into the air as they break free from the collapsing rail yard. Behind them, the entire structure sags, the sound of metal shearing echoing like a gunshot.

Seth
Everyone hold on. We are leaving this hell behind.
They tear onto the cracked highway, leaving the roar of the undead and the shifting earth far behind them. The road ahead is open, flanked by skeletal trees and gray, forgotten fields. They are moving fast toward the hills, away from the collapse and into the unknown.

“We successfully make it out as we have a long ride home to the kingdom and we talk to Blake about what he's been doing all this time and just catching up with him before we reach the kingdom”
FAILURE (Good Agility, rolled -2)
The engine gives a violent, metallic cough, shuddering before the radiator vents a thick, white plume of steam. The SUV lurches and dies in the middle of the cracked highway, leaving Seth and his passengers stranded beneath an overcast, suffocating sky.

Seth
Dammit. The radiator’s blown. We’re sitting ducks out here in the open.

Miller
I have to wake him up. We need to move before the smell of coolant draws them in.
Seth steps out into the biting wind, his boots crunching on loose gravel. A low, guttural moaning drifts from the dense, overgrown treeline flanking the road, growing steadily in volume. A few gray shapes begin to break through the brush, their movements jerky and hungry.

Seth
Wake up, Miller. We need to clear the road or find cover, now.
Miller stirs, his eyes fluttering open as he groans, clutching his bruised ribs. He looks at the surrounding woods, his face pale with realization.

Miller
Seth, how far are we from the gate?

Seth
Too far to run. Grab your pack and get ready.
