Escape to the Train Depot

Seth shoves the erratic scavenger aside, his boots skidding on the splintered floorboards of the textile mill. The air is heavy with the smell of rotted cotton and damp dust. He signals for Stella to move as the rhythmic clanking grows louder, pulsating from the depths of the shadows.

Seth

Seth

This place is a coffin. We need to reach the delivery bay before the noise pulls the rest of the pack inside.

They abandon the mill, slipping through a rusted fire exit that leads out into the frigid night air. The transition is jarring; the silence of the abandoned industrial street outside is broken only by the low, distant groan of a wandering horde near the canal.

Stella

Stella

We need to cross the rail yard. The bridge is gone, but the maintenance track might lead us toward the river wall.

Seth nods, keeping his AK-47 leveled at the dark intersection ahead. They move with purpose, weaving between abandoned shipping crates and rusted freight cars, finally reaching the shelter of an old, cavernous train depot.

We gotta get back to the boys miller and kael

Escape to the Train Depot
Seth

Seth

The boys are out there, Stella. Miller and Kael are waiting at the extraction point. If we cut through the maintenance tunnel beneath the tracks, we can bypass the yard entirely and shave twenty minutes off our trek.

Stella

Stella

He's right. The yard is an open tomb, and if we hit the tunnel now, we catch the current before the herd shifts toward the canal.

Seth points his barrel toward a heavy iron grate leading beneath the rusted tracks. The rhythmic groaning of the undead echoes from the canal, growing louder, but the path forward remains clear. He shifts his grip on the AK-47, calculating the distance to the vent. Suddenly, a rusted bolt snaps inside the depot wall, causing a massive support beam to groan and buckle, sending a shower of sparks and iron dust raining down between them and the path ahead.

Seth

Seth

We have to move before that beam collapses and seals the exit.

Seth

Seth

Dammit! Not now.

Seth

Seth

The metal is screaming under the weight. If I can time this right, I can vault over the debris before the rest of the structure gives way. I have enough momentum to clear the gap if I don't hesitate.

Stella

Stella

Seth, look out!

The beam shrieks, metal tearing like paper as it swings downward. Seth lunges forward, his boots crunching into the gravel as he ignores the cascade of sparks. He calculates the trajectory in a heartbeat, his hand instinctively gripping the strap of his AK-47, preparing to shift his weight to clear the shifting iron. Behind him, Stella recoils from the dust cloud, her eyes wide as the ceiling starts to sag in a domino effect. The path to the tunnel is narrowing by the second, a jagged wall of steel beams and crumbling concrete plummeting toward the floor.

Stella

Stella

If he doesn't clear that gap, we're both trapped in this death trap.

We barely escape but when we get outside the leader of the saviors is waiting aka negan a cruel mean dictator who is the leader of the saviors and he is really brutal he where's a leather biker jacket jeans with black boots who says he wants to kill some of our people cuz we killed some of his so he lines us up on hare knees and brutally executes kael by beating his head and repeatedly with a barbed wired baseball bat

SUCCESS (Legendary Tactics, rolled +0)

Seth tackles the final debris, hitting the pavement outside with a bone-jarring thud. He drags Stella into the open air, but the silence is heavier than the collapsing depot. A line of vehicles blocks the exit, their headlights cutting through the fog like predatory eyes.

Negan

Negan

Look at this. The little survivors just popped out of their rabbit hole.

Negan steps into the glare, his leather jacket slick with condensation, a bat wrapped in barbed wire resting on his shoulder. He gestures, and his men swarm, forcing Seth and his group to their knees. Kael is shoved forward, stumbling into the dirt.

Negan

Negan

You killed my people. You thought you were cute. Now, we are going to play a game.

The heavy bat descends, a blur of motion. The impact is sickening, dull, and final.

Seth

Seth

I can't move. My muscles are locked. If I reach for the Eagle, Kael dies faster. If I don't, we all die.

Negan drags Maxwell forward by his collar, tossing him into the center of the ring. He gestures to his men, and one tosses him a heavy, rusted machete. Negan catches it, letting it clatter to the ground, before turning his attention back to his bat. He swings with rhythmic, sickening thuds. The air fills with the wet snap of bone as he methodically disables Maxwell. Seth lunges forward, but two Saviors slam him into the pavement, pinning his face against the cold, damp asphalt.

Escape to the Train Depot

Seth lunges, his boots skidding through the gritty dust, but his muscles lock, paralyzed by the sheer malice radiating from Negan. He stumbles, overextending his reach. The two Saviors exploit the opening, driving their shoulders into Seth’s ribs. He hits the ground hard, the wind knocked out of him. Negan laughs, a low, rasping sound that cuts through the thick fog. He steps over the broken form of Maxwell, the machete resting heavy against his leather belt.

Seth

I can’t breathe. I can’t move. They’re watching me crumble, and there’s nothing left to do but watch him finish it.

Negan

Negan

You see, Seth? You try to play the big man, and your friends pay the bill. I’m not even going to kill him yet. I want you to listen to every single sound he makes.

Negan raises his bat, his knuckles white. He doesn't look at Seth, his focus entirely on the helpless man at his feet.

Escape to the Train Depot

Seth lunges, but his boot catches on a jagged piece of rebar. He collapses forward, his face slamming into the oil-slicked concrete. The Saviors are on him instantly, their heavy boots pinning his shoulders and neck to the floor. The world turns into a blur of grey fog and agonizing silence as Negan steps closer. He looms over the broken figure of Maxwell, the air thick with the metallic tang of blood. Negan forces a smirk, his eyes locking with Seth's as he raises his bat high. The wet, sickening thud of the impact against bone echoes through the yard. Seth struggles to turn his head, but a boot grinds his cheek into the grit. He is forced to witness the systematic destruction of his friend, helpless to stop the carnage that follows.

Seth

Escape to the Train Depot

Negan looms over the shivering form of Maxwell, his laughter cutting through the fog like a jagged blade. He signals to Savior 2, who drops a heavy steel machete into the dirt. With a cruel smirk, Negan shifts his grip on Lucille, the barbed wire glinting under the dim, flickering security lights of the depot. He delivers a brutal, calculated blow to Maxwell, the sound of splintering bone masking the desperate, choked-off screams. Seth lunges forward against the weight of his captors, his fingers digging deep into the slick concrete, but his muscles lock, trembling with the sheer weight of his exhaustion and the horror of the display. Negan pauses, chest heaving, his eyes locking onto Seth with predatory delight. He drops the bat and reaches down, his hand closing around the handle of the discarded blade.

Seth

Seth

Every snap of bone is a nail in my own coffin. I am watching my world end, one piece at a time, and I am not even standing up to fight.

Escape to the Train Depot

The heavy steel machete bites into the concrete, sparks flying as Negan drags it across the grit. Seth attempts to surge forward, but his boots slip on an oil slick, sending him crashing hard onto his side. The sudden loss of leverage leaves him gasping, his chest heaving against the gravel as Savior 2 shoves his face back into the grime with a heavy boot.

Negan

Negan

Look at him, Maxwell. He’s trying so hard to be the hero. But look what happens when you try to save the world, Seth. You just end up face-down in the dirt while your friends pay the price for your ego.

Seth

Seth

I can’t breathe. My ribs feel like they are shattered from that fall. I’m helpless, and every word out of his mouth is a dagger. If I don't find an opening now, there won't be anyone left to lead.

Negan looms over his victim, the tip of the blade scraping the depot wall. The threat is absolute.

"Negan" says oh I know then brings one of are best friends maxwell and throws one of his guys in and beats him to death to show fear then grabs Maxwell and has one of his men give him a machete he puts it on his hip and uses his bat to break Maxwell's arms and legs leaves in their helpless then cuts him up with machete

Negan

Negan

See, Seth? This is what happens to leaders who don't know their place. They watch their legacy turn into hamburger meat while they crawl in the mud.

Seth

Seth

Every muscle in my body is screaming, but I’m frozen. The sound of bone snapping is echoing louder than the rain. I tried to move, to stop this, but I only made it worse. If I lunge now, I die. If I stay, I lose my soul. Where is the opening?

The mist swirls around the clearing, thick and choking. Negan kicks a discarded casing aside, his boot inches from Seth’s trembling hand. Maxwell lies shattered and motionless on the oil-slicked concrete, the silence of the depot broken only by the rhythmic, wet thud of the machete striking the ground near Seth's head.

Seth

Seth

I lunged. I actually thought I was fast enough to catch his guard off. I was wrong. My shoulder is throbbing from the Savior’s boot, and now I’m pinned deeper into the wet concrete. Watching this... it’s not just a show anymore. It’s an instruction.

The atmosphere turns suffocating as Negan looms over the ruins of his cruelty. The Saviors crowd in, their laughter muffled by the swirling grey mist that clings to the depot floor. Negan spits toward Seth’s head, his shadow stretching long and jagged over the bloodied debris. The heavy metal of the machete catches a flicker of light from the distant streetlamps, reflecting in the cold, dead eyes of the onlookers.

Negan

My muscles burn with a sick, paralyzing heat. I tried to surge upward, to rip the machete from his grip, but the oil slick betrayed me. I sprawled, pathetic, as the steel bit into Maxwell. The wet, rhythmic thud of the bat against bone echoes against the depot walls, drowning out the sound of my own ragged, desperate breathing.

Negan

Negan

Look at him, Seth! Look at the mess you let happen. You wanted to build a legacy? You’re building a graveyard.

Negan stands over the twitching remains of his victim, the machete dripping dark fluid onto the concrete. The fog thickens, swirling around his boots like a living shroud. He turns his head slowly, his gaze locking onto Seth with a predatory, mocking grin that demands submission. The remaining Saviors shift in the darkness, their silhouettes flickering in the dim light.

Negan

Negan

You really thought you were the hero, didn't you, Seth? Look at this. You brought him here to die.

Negan steps closer, his boot pressing firmly into the wet concrete, ignoring the twitching mass of flesh that was once Maxwell. He gestures toward Seth with the blood-streaked machete, the metal catching the flickering light from a distant, dying lantern. The air feels heavy, smelling of copper and damp earth. Savior 2 grinds his knee harder into Seth’s spine, forcing his face back into the grit as the mockery continues.

Seth

Seth

I can't breathe. The weight of the world, of his boots, of the blood pooling under my chin—it’s too much. I tried to move, I tried to end this, and all I did was guarantee we’d all be buried here. I am failing them. I am failing everyone.

You want to see how this story ends, don't you? It ends with you watching. Every. Single. Second.

Negan leans in, his shadow eclipsing Seth entirely. He swings the blood-slicked machete in a lazy arc, carving a deep, ragged line into the concrete just inches from Seth’s face. Sparks spray upward, stinging Seth’s skin. The sheer humiliation of being held down, paralyzed by the weight of the Savior's boot, burns hotter than the cold fog. Seth strains against the grip, his muscles knotting to the point of tearing, but the Savior 2 only tightens his hold, pressing a heavy barrel against the back of Seth’s neck. Negan laughs, a low, wet sound, and kicks the remnants of the broken body toward the light.

Seth

Seth

I can hear my pulse in my ears. If I can just slide my leg—if I can just get enough traction to throw his weight off—I can reach the blade. I have to stop this. I have to move before he turns that steel on the others.

Negan

You really thought you could slip out? You got heart, Seth. I’ll give you that. But heart doesn't stop a boot from crushing your windpipe.

Seth lunges, boots scrabbling for purchase against the slick, oil-stained concrete. His fingers reach for the discarded blade, but his traction fails entirely. He kicks out, heels slamming uselessly into empty air, and his body collapses back into the grit.

Savior 2 lets out a sharp, jagged laugh, shifting his weight to grind his heel harder into the small of Seth’s back, pinning him flat against the cold floor. The barrel of the gun jabs deep into Seth’s neck, the metal freezing and unforgiving. Negan looms over the mess of them, his silhouette towering against the swirling, gray fog, looking down at Seth’s failed struggle with a disappointed shake of his head.

Seth

Seth

You really thought watching was enough? No, no. You gotta learn that your loyalty is just another thing for me to break.

Negan swings the bat with a wet, sickening thud. The sound of bone snapping echoes through the depot as Maxwell hits the ground, his limbs unnaturally bent.

Savior 2 tightens his grip on Seth, forcing his chin down into the freezing, oil-slicked concrete. The mist swirls closer, masking the whimpers of the dying man, while Negan leans in until his face is inches from Seth’s, his breath smelling of stale tobacco and indifference.

Seth

Seth

He’s gone. Everyone I try to lead, I just lead them into a grave. My strength, my plans, they don't mean a damn thing when he decides it’s over. I am so tired of watching people pay for my mistakes.

Seth’s desperate lunge for the nearby blade is cut short as the slick oil sends him skidding face-first into the grime. The impact knocks the wind from him, leaving him gasping for air as his fingers rake uselessly against the concrete. Savior 2 grunts, planting a heavy boot firmly between Seth's shoulder blades and driving him deeper into the icy pool of oil.

Seth

Seth

Don't look at him. If I look at the body, I break. Just focus on the feet. Find a balance point, wait for the shift in weight, and drive the elbow back.

You really thought you had a play, didn't you? That twitch in your arm, the way you eyes flickered to the steel... it’s cute. But cute gets people buried.

The boot on Seth’s back twists, grinding his cheek deeper into the oily sludge. Saviors close in, their laughter muffled by the swirling gray fog. Negan steps forward, the rhythmic drag of his bat against the concrete grating like a dull saw. With a sudden, swift motion, he reaches down, grabbing Seth by his beanie and jerking his head upward to force eye contact.

Negan kicks Seth’s jaw, forcing him to tilt his head toward the pit. The guttural snarls from below grow louder, a wet, tearing sound punctuating the silence. Negan leans down, his face a mask of sadistic glee, breath smelling of stale smoke and rot. He drags his bat across the concrete, sparks flying in the dim, foggy light.

Seth

Seth

I can't look away. I have to memorize his face, his movements. If I ever get out of this, he’s the one I hunt.

Negan

Negan

Don't blink now, Seth. You wanted a community. You wanted to lead. Well, watch what happens to your little flock when the shepherd is just another dog on a leash.

Negan raises the bat high, catching the faint glow of a distant flickering streetlamp through the fog. He turns his gaze toward the remaining captives, his grin widening as he signals his men to tighten their grip on the struggling group.

He splatters blood from bat on my face

Seth

Seth

You think this display scares me. It just confirms everything I need to know about what you are.

Seth lunges upward, his head snapping forward with calculated precision. As Negan swings the bat in a low, mocking arc, the wood connects with a fresh, wet wound on the ground. A spray of iron-scented blood erupts, spattering across Seth’s face and the front of his jacket. The heat of the liquid is immediate, shocking, and visceral against his skin.

Seth

Seth

It’s thick. It’s warm. It’s the last of him. Use it. Use the disgust. Don't let them see you shake.

Negan

Negan

Look at that! You’re wearing him, kid! You’re wearing the failure! Does it taste like regret? I bet it tastes like everything you couldn't save!

Negan freezes, his grin faltering for a split second as he stares at the crimson streak across Seth’s features. He pivots, pacing behind the pinned man, his boots crunching on broken glass and oil, the bat dripping onto the dark floor.

Negan’s laughter vanishes. With a sharp, sudden motion, he swings the butt of the bat into Seth’s ribs. The air rushes out of Seth's lungs in a pained wheeze. Negan leans down, pressing the cold, bloody metal against Seth’s throat.

Negan

Negan

I don't build, kid. I harvest. And right now? You’re nothing but a pest eating my crop. You want to know why? Because I can. Because the world let go of the leash, and I’m the one holding the collar.

Savior 2 yanks Seth’s arm behind his back, forcing his face deeper into the slick concrete.

Seth

Seth

Don't blink. Keep your eyes on his hands. He wants you to break. Keep breathing. Just keep breathing.

You want to know why, kid? It is simple. Because you and your little group are soft. You are weak, and you are pathetic. You need to be taught a lesson, and I am just the man to deliver it. This is my world. You are all just living in it.

Seth tries to spit, but the movement only irritates the Saviors. Savior 2 grinds his boot heel into the back of Seth’s neck, crushing his face into the oil-slicked concrete. The force of the pressure sends a jolt of white-hot pain through Seth’s spine. Negan leans in close, his breath smelling of stale tobacco. He brings the bat down hard, not to strike, but to pin Seth’s hand to the floor. The heavy wood clamps over Seth’s fingers, vibrating with the force of Negan’s weight.

Seth

Seth

He is trying to break me. Every second he keeps me here, he thinks he is winning. I need to move, but my arm is numb. Focus on the grip. There is a gap.

Negan

Negan

Did you hear that, boys? He wants a reason. He thinks he deserves an explanation for being a failure. You aren't getting one, Seth. You're getting an exit strategy. Permanently.

The wooden bat grinds deeper, crushing Seth’s knuckles against the jagged concrete. The pain is blinding, a white noise that threatens to pull Seth under. Savior 2 grunts, shifting his weight to put more pressure on Seth’s pinned neck, effectively pinning him like a specimen on a board. Negan withdraws the bat momentarily, only to swing it in a vicious, sweeping arc that clips the side of Seth’s ribs. The wind is punched out of his lungs, and the world tilts into a blur of swirling fog and dying sparks. He is not just being beaten; he is being systematically dismantled.

Seth

Seth

He's going to snap my fingers one by one. I can't reach the AK. I can't even breathe. If I pass out, it’s over. I have to find a way to pivot. Just one inch.

The pressure on Seth’s neck eases just enough for him to gasp. Negan leans in, his face a mask of predatory amusement, and slams the bat down into the concrete inches from Seth’s ear. The shockwave rattles his teeth.

Seth

Seth

He's basking in the control. He wants me to break, to beg. But every word he says is a map of his own ego. He's so busy enjoying the performance that he's ignoring the flickering fuse on that hanging light fixture. One good lunge, and I can force his hand.

Negan

Negan

Listen to that, Seth! Listen to the sound of your own insignificance. We are Negan!

The Saviors chant in a rhythmic, terrifying roar, their voices echoing off the rusted metal rafters.

Savior 2 tightens his grip on Seth’s hair, yanking his head back so hard that a sharp pain erupts at his hairline.

Negan steps closer, his boots crunching into the glass and debris, and he spits directly onto the blood-soaked concrete near Seth’s face.

Seth

Seth

I can't breathe... the chant, the pressure, the sound of them all. They aren't just men anymore. They're a machine, and I'm the grain of sand meant to be crushed. My vision is blurring at the edges. I need to focus. That light fixture is swaying, the wire is frayed. If I can just draw them in closer.

Negan

Negan

You’re fading, kid. Don’t you dare pass out on me. I want you to be fully conscious when I finish this.

Negan raises his bat, the barbed wire glinting under the dying, flickering bulb. He swings, not at Seth, but into the metal support pillar just above him. The screech of steel against steel is deafening.

Seth

Seth

He's waiting for me to break. He wants me to mimic them. If I give them what they want, maybe they stop. Maybe I can find a way to take this back when they aren't looking.

Seth tries to force the words out, to play the part of the broken man, but his throat closes in a spasm of raw, visceral defiance. He spits at the dust instead of speaking.

Savior 2 reacts instantly to the perceived insolence, slamming the butt of his rifle into the side of Seth’s ribs. The air leaves his lungs in a sharp wheeze, and the world tilts into a sickening spin as he is forced face-first into the freezing concrete. The flickering light fixture finally snaps free, showering the scene in a cascade of blinding white sparks.

Seth

Seth

Don't pass out. Keep your eyes open. If you close them now, they’ll finish it.

Negan laughs, a sharp, barking sound that cuts through the hum of the electrical fire. He kicks Seth square in the chest, rolling him onto his back. The overhead fixture finishes its descent, slamming into the concrete mere inches from Seth’s head, sending a spray of hot, jagged glass and white-hot sparks directly into his line of sight. Negan looms over him, the barbed-wire bat resting casually on his shoulder, his eyes wide and hungry for more suffering.

Negan

Negan

Look at that! You’re painting the floor, you pathetic piece of trash. You want to lead? You lead the way to the grave.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Negan steps into the flickering neon, his shadow stretching long over the oil-slicked floor. He spreads his arms, the bat dangling from his grip as the surrounding men echo his words like a demonic choir.

Negan

Negan

You see that, Seth? This isn't your world anymore. This is my land. We are Negan. All of us!

— We are Negan!

The chant pulses with the rhythm of the dying electrical fire. Seth tries to push upward, but the crushing weight of a boot against his neck keeps him anchored. The failure burns worse than the physical pain. He realizes he cannot fight this tide of bodies alone, not while his lungs are screaming for air.

Seth

Seth

They are everywhere. If I break now, I’m just another dead man on the concrete. Stay low. Wait for them to get sloppy.

Savior 2 leans down, his face a mask of sadistic glee.

Savior 2

Savior 2

You hear them, freak? Your little rebellion died with your friend.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Seth

Seth

The rhythm of their chanting is hypnotic, almost drowning out the sound of the crackling wires overhead. My body is lead, and my head is spinning from the impact. I need to move, but if I twitch, this boot on my neck is going to crush my windpipe.

Savior 2 presses his weight down, his grin widening as the sparks rain around us. He seems convinced I am broken, lost in the noise of their fanaticism. He is looking at me like I am just a trophy to be collected, ignoring the fact that my hand is inches away from a jagged piece of metal that tore off the support beam.

Negan steps closer, the bat resting casually on his shoulder as he watches me for a flicker of fear. He wants me to crawl. He wants me to beg.

Negan

Negan

Still glaring? I love it. But you need to learn the new rules of the road. Let’s see how much fight you have left when I take away your best asset.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Negan leans down, his smile fading into a look of cold, predatory annoyance. He spits a glob of saliva onto my chest, right over my heart.

Negan

Negan

You really aren't listening, are you? This whole world, this dirt you're bleeding on, it belongs to me. We are Negan. All of us.

The Saviors chant in unison, their voices creating a rhythmic, thumping wall of sound that vibrates in my teeth.

Savior 2 tightens his grip on my neck, his boot grinding down until spots dance in my vision. I try to pull my arm toward that jagged metal shard, but my muscles lock up. The pressure is too much. The world tilts, and the air in my lungs feels like it is turning to needles. I failed to pull the metal to me, and now the crowd is closing in, their eyes vacant and hungry for the spectacle.

Seth

Seth

If I don't break this hold now, I'm just another corpse for their collection. Breathe, find the center, wait for the boot to lift an inch.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -1)

Savior 2 laughs, a jagged, wet sound that echoes off the corrugated metal walls. He shifts his weight, the boot digging deeper into my windpipe, and the oxygen starvation turns the world into a flickering gray strobe. My hand, meant for the shard, twitches weakly and scrapes against the oil, pushing the metal further away, out of reach.

Negan

Negan

Look at you. Trying to reach for a toy like a damn child. You aren't a leader. You are just a dog waiting for the kennel door to lock.

He swings the bat with lazy, casual force, catching my shoulder. The impact sends a jolt of white-hot agony through my collarbone, pinning me deeper into the concrete. The chant of the Saviors reaches a deafening crescendo, a wall of hate that drowns out my own ragged breathing. I am forced to watch

Negan step over the body of [Maxwell:1], his boots tracking blood across the floor. He isn't done, and my body refuses to cooperate.

Seth

Seth

The bone is broken. Focus. If I can't reach the steel, I have to find another way to make them regret this.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +0)

Negan leans down, his face a mask of sadistic amusement as he looms over me. He spits a glob of phlegm onto my shirt and gestures wide with the barbed-wire bat, encompassing the circle of men closing in around us.

Negan

Negan

You hear that? It’s the sound of the future. This isn't your world anymore. This is my land. We are Negan. Every single one of us.

The Saviors begin the chant, a rhythmic, soul-crushing sound that vibrates in my teeth.

Savior 2 tightens his grip on my hair, yanking my head back until my neck screams. The effort of the struggle leaves my lungs burning, and the dizziness from the broken collarbone forces my eyes to unfocus. I try to reach for the shard one last time, but my fingers go numb, sliding uselessly through the slick, dark oil. I am pinned, broken, and completely surrounded as the chanting grows louder, threatening to drown out my own heartbeat.

Seth

Seth

The rhythm is hypnotic. They want me to break under the noise. I need to stop fighting the air and start looking for a weapon, even if I have to crawl to it.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -4)

The floor turns into a spinning nightmare of grease and grit as the Savior’s shove forces my shoulder back against the hard, unforgiving concrete. My attempt to pivot results in a sickening crunch from my injured collarbone, and the metal shard skids inches further away, lost in the shadows of a rusted gear.

Savior 2

Savior 2

Stay down, tough guy. You heard the man. You aren't going anywhere.

Negan steps into my line of sight, his grin widening as he observes my collapse. He swings the bat in a casual arc, the barbed wire glinting under the chaotic, strobe-like flicker of the dying light fixture. The chanting of the Saviors swells, a wall of sound that pulses against my temples. I am no longer a threat; I am a prop in their macabre play, gasping for air as the oil seeps into my clothes, marking me as nothing more than the scrap they intend to leave behind.

Seth

Seth

Every move I make just tightens the noose. If I don't stop flailing and find a point of leverage, they are going to execute me just like they did Maxwell.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -1)

Negan leans in, his shadow eclipsing my vision as the chanting reaches a deafening, rhythmic roar. The word hangs in the air, vibrating through the cold, oily floorboards beneath my cheek.

Negan

Negan

You see this? This is my world now. I am the air you breathe and the dirt you crawl on. We are all Negan.

A chorus of voices erupts from the darkness, a sickening, unified drone.

Seth

Seth

They aren't just guards anymore, they're a machine, and I'm just a gear they're about to grind into dust. My attempt to find a foothold or a weapon is swallowed by the sheer weight of their presence. Savior 2 grinds his boot into my shoulder, forcing a scream back into my throat, while Negan raises the bat high, the barbed wire glinting like teeth in the strobe of the dying overhead lights. I am completely broken, the defiance drained out of me by the cold, hard reality of my total failure.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -3)

Seth

Seth

My head is spinning, and the rhythmic chant is making my vision swim. If I can't break the chant, I'm just a corpse waiting for a headcount.

Savior 2 slams the butt of his rifle down again, this time catching my temple. The world tilts violently. I try to roll, to find a grip, but the oil slick is too thick. My fingers just slide uselessly against the concrete, and my strength is evaporating like the fog.

Negan laughs, a harsh, grating sound that cuts through the drone of his men. He steps forward, the spiked metal of his bat swinging low. He doesn't just want me broken, he wants me to see the exact moment the light goes out in my own eyes. He plants a boot directly onto my injured collarbone, pinning me flat as he leans down, his face inches from mine.

Negan

Negan

You really thought you were the protagonist, didn't you, tough guy? Look at you. You’re just meat on my floor.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +0)

Negan

Negan

You hear that? That is the sound of the world ending for guys like you. We are all Negan. We are the ones who decide who breathes.

Seth

Seth

The rhythmic chanting of the Saviors grows deafening, a wall of sound that vibrates through my teeth. My focus fractures as they repeat his name in unison. I try to pull my wits together, to find a tactical weakness in their formation, but the agony in my shoulder and the sheer weight of their presence crushes my resolve. I am completely overwhelmed.

Negan leans in until his breath hitches against my cheek. He turns his head toward his men, smiling as their chant reaches a fever pitch. He is relishing my helplessness, turning my spirit into a plaything for his amusement. I can see the veins in his neck, the casual, terrifying ease with which he holds my fate. I have no move left. I am just waiting for the next strike to finish what the bat started.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -1)

Negan

Negan

Look at you, shaking. You think you’re the hero of this story, don’t you? You’re just a stain on my floor, Seth. Everyone here knows it. Say it with me!

Saviors

WE ARE NEGAN! WE ARE NEGAN!

Seth

Seth

The words hit me like physical blows, the chant drowning out my own racing heart. I try to gather the strength to spit back a retort, to show them I am not broken, but my body betrays me. The agony in my shoulder makes my vision swim, and as I open my mouth, only a ragged, pathetic wheeze escapes. I am failing them. I am failing everyone.

Negan cackles, a sharp, jagged sound that cuts through the hum of the depot. He raises his boot, pressing it harder into my collarbone until I cry out, the sound lost in the thunderous repetition of his name. He leans down, his face a mask of predatory amusement, and begins to rhythmically tap his bat against my skull.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Negan

Negan

Look around you, Seth. Do you see a rebellion? No. You see my land. You see my people. Every soul breathing in this depot, every heart beating in this room... they belong to me. We are all Negan.

Saviors

WE ARE NEGAN! WE ARE NEGAN!

Seth

Seth

I force my teeth together to stop the shaking, trying to find the breath to tell him he’s nothing but a parasite, but the air catches in my crushed chest. The words turn to ash in my throat. I try to scramble, to push myself up, but my grip slips on the slick oil.

Negan watches me thrash, his grin widening as he drives the heel of his boot harder into my collarbone. He leans down, the scent of stale tobacco and blood heavy on his breath, and spits on the back of my neck.

Negan

Negan

You’re pathetic. Even when you try to fight, you just slide around in the dirt like the worm you are.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Negan raises his bat, the barbed wire glinting in the chaotic flicker of the overhead wires. He doesn't strike me yet. Instead, he shifts his weight, turning his attention toward the shadows where he knows the others are hiding, his smile turning thin and predatory.

Negan

Negan

Did you hear that, fellas? I think our guest is finally realizing his world is over. Why don't you boys bring the rest of his little fan club out? Let's have a proper party.

Seth

Seth

I can barely move, but I scan the darkness near the far train cars. I need to make a sound, a distraction, anything to keep them from being found, but my ribs scream in protest with every shallow, ragged breath. I am just bait now.

Savior 2 tightens his grip on my hair, yanking my head back to keep my eyes locked on the spot where Stella might be hiding. The rhythmic chanting of the Saviors grows louder, shaking the very metal of the depot.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled +0)

Negan leans close, his breath smelling of stale tobacco and bile. He grins, the expression tight and humorless.

Negan

Negan

You see this? It is my land. We are Negan, all of us.

The Saviors around us pick up the mantra, their voices swelling into a guttural, terrifying chorus.

Savior 2 jerks my head down into the freezing concrete, the impact rattling my teeth and turning the world into a blurred mess of sparks and shadows. My vision swims as the rhythmic chant pulses against my skull, suffocating and absolute. I try to pull air into my lungs, but the boot on my collarbone pins me deeper into the oil. I am failing them. I am failing everyone.

Seth

Seth

I can't breathe. My ribs are shifting, and the pain is white-hot, but I have to find a way to stop this. If they find Stella, it is over. I need to force them to look at me, only at me.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

PARTIAL (Mediocre Diplomacy, rolled -1)

The rhythm of the chanting Saviors intensifies, their boots stomping in perfect, deafening unison against the industrial flooring. The sparks from the overhead fixture rain down like jagged stars, singeing the collar of my jacket. I force my jaw to unclench, fighting through the haze of agony to look up at him.

Seth

Seth

You think this makes you a leader, Negan? You are just a man with a bat, waiting for the dead to do the work for you. Everyone here knows that once you run out of blood to spill, there is nothing left to take.

Negan's grin falters for a heartbeat, his eyes narrowing into cold, predatory slits. He pauses his pacing, the heavy iron of his boot pressing harder into my shoulder. The chanting around us falters, a ripple of uneasy silence cutting through the smog as his men wait for his reaction.

Negan raises the bat, the barbed wire glinting under the chaotic, flickering light.

Negan

Negan

That was a mistake. Now I have to show you the difference between a king and a corpse.

"Negan" says you see this is my land we are negan all of us as the saviors start saying they are negan

PARTIAL (Mediocre Diplomacy, rolled -2)

The chanting rises like a tidal wave of static. Every Savior, from the shadows to the front line, echoes the mantra. Their voices blend into a singular, suffocating drone.

Negan leans down, his face inches from mine, his smile devoid of any warmth. He gestures with his bat toward the sea of leather and weapons surrounding us.

Negan

Negan

You hear that, kid? That is the sound of the world ending. There is no Seth, there is no leader, there is only us. We are Negan. Every single one of them, every drop of blood on this floor, and every breath you have left... it all belongs to me.

Seth

Seth

He is trying to drown out my resolve with their noise. If I can just pull his focus to the left, towards the flickering wiring, I might be able to kick the support strut.

Negan signals the group to hush, the sudden drop in volume ringing louder than the shouting. He raises his bat, waiting for my submission.

"Negan" says you see this is my land consider this as a type of warning you fuck with me I'll fuck back cuz I don't like being fucked

FAILURE (Mediocre Diplomacy, rolled -3)

Seth

Seth

Look around, Negan. You think this territory makes you a king? You’re just a scavenger with a louder voice. You see this place? It’s my land now, consider this a warning. You fuck with me, I’ll fuck back, because I don't like being fucked.

Negan stares for a heartbeat, then lets out a jagged, hollow laugh that echoes off the rusted girders. He doesn't look offended. He looks bored.

Negan

Negan

A warning? You're leaking oil and blood on my floor, and you’re trying to lecture me on manners?

He signals with a sharp flick of his wrist.

Savior 2 drives a boot into my ribs, forcing the air from my lungs in a sharp, wheezing gasp. Negan steps down hard onto my hand, grinding the barbed wire of his bat into the concrete just inches from my fingers. The pain is white-hot, blinding.

Negan

Negan

You want to talk about getting fucked, Seth? Let’s talk about how much more of yourself you have left to give.

"Negan" says you see this is my land consider this as a type of warning you fuck with me I'll fuck back cuz I don't like being fucked

PARTIAL (Mediocre Diplomacy, rolled +0)

Seth

Seth

The pain is a distraction. My knuckles are pulp, but there is a seam in the concrete near my left boot. If I can shift my weight just enough, I might be able to leverage that metal shard Negan missed.

Negan leans in close, his breath smelling of stale tobacco and ozone, his eyes glittering with a predatory, detached amusement.

Negan

Negan

You have spirit, Seth. I love spirit. It makes the breaking process so much more... architectural.

He pulls his boot back, preparing to drive it into my ribs again. As his weight shifts, the pressure on my hand lightens for a fraction of a second. I twitch my fingers, scraping the jagged metal edge toward my palm. The Saviors start shouting again, their voices drowning out the sound of the leaking industrial pipes. I have to commit now, or I'm never getting up.

Savior 2

Savior 2

You want me to shut him up for good, boss?

"Negan" says come on let's go for a little ride you and me then proceeds to take me to the RV and takes me for a drive while his men sit back and watch the rest of my friends and make sure they don't go anywhere

"Negan" says come on let's go for a little ride you and me then proceeds to take me to the RV and takes me for a drive while his men sit back and watch the rest of my friends and make sure they don't go anywhere

SUCCESS (Good Willpower, rolled +2)

Negan grabs Seth by his collar, hauling him upright with a jarring, brutal strength that sends sparks flying from the damaged overhead light as his shoulder brushes a jagged pipe.

Negan flashes a wide, menacing grin, his bat resting casually over his shoulder.

Negan

Negan

Come on, sunshine. Let's go for a little ride, you and me. I want to see if you can still talk tough when the rest of your little family is left behind to rot.

Seth

Seth

The engine of that steel beast is going to be my only chance. If I get him alone in the cab, I might find an opening before he realizes I’m not broken yet.

The other Saviors watch with cold, detached amusement as Negan shoves Seth toward the waiting RV, their weapons trained on the remaining captives left frozen in the depot.

We drive down the road as he talks to me I just sit and listen barely speak

FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -2)

The RV interior is suffocating, smelling of stale tobacco and sweat. As the vehicle jolts onto the uneven road, Negan’s constant, rhythmic monologue grates against Seth’s nerves like sandpaper. The failure to stay composed weighs heavy, and Seth’s grip on his emotions slips. He winces, the movement of the RV jostling his broken collarbone until he lets out an involuntary, sharp hiss of agony that cuts through Negan’s pacing.

Negan

Negan

Oh, did I touch a nerve, sunshine? You’re shaking like a leaf. That tells me everything I need to know about your little revolution. It’s over before it even started.

Seth

Seth

I lost my focus. He wanted a reaction and I gave him exactly that. I need to close my eyes, regulate the pain, and wait for him to think I’ve completely checked out.

Negan stops pacing, looming over Seth with a twisted look of amusement, his bat tapping a slow, taunting beat against his own thigh as the RV swerves sharply.
