The Archive's Binding Choice

The second seam in the root wall parts with a soft, living crackle. Green vowlight gathers across the stone, and the archive waits, patient as a grave.

The Rootbound Caretaker studies Huarti in silence, then lifts one hand toward the opening script. Earlise stands nearby, still and watchful, while the wall keeps pulsing at Huarti's heartbeat.

Name what you keep. Name what you refuse. The archive will bind to that, and nothing less.

The green lines thicken, folding around the older vows already sunk into the stone. A third thread begins to form, waiting for Huarti's guardianship to give it shape.

Name what you refuse in the archive

I name that all foul energies bothering our territory be channeled to me, all hex, curse, evil and further. I am the dark one so i should be the one to handle the worst of it. And that my mother the infinite long sky dragon Ehahase write the rites and rules our followers will follow.

The Archive's Binding Choice

The vowlight thickens around Huarti’s words, then sinks into him like rain into dry stone. A cold, foul current answers, drawing the archive’s worst tinctures inward.

The green seams brighten, and the wall’s pressure eases as if a hidden strain has been named and taken up.

Then the archive knows its burden-holder.

A second line of script opens cleanly beside the first, and its glow settles into a steadier shape. The letters do not scatter. They wait.

Huarti’s declaration settles into the stone with the force of law. Beside the binding text, another clause blooms for the rites, naming Ehahase as the hand that writes what the followers must keep.

So that is the keeper’s burden, and the lawgiver's name.

The chamber grows quieter. The archive does not resist him now, but the open script waits for his final choice of what this vault will preserve.
