The Archive Awaits the First Law

The judgment-ring fades to a soft ember. The archive hums, waiting. Malou stands ready with his quill of light, and every shelf, arch, and stone ledge feels newly attentive to Huarti's will.

Malou

Malou

Speak the first law, and I will set it into the bones of the archive.

A faint seam of red script stirs along the walls, then stills. Huarti's dominion is real now, but it must be made usable, named into shape before the Deep Archive turns its attention elsewhere.

If you leave it without law, the archive will keep obeying, but it will not know what you want spared.

The chamber's glow deepens around the name-runes at Huarti's feet, as if they are listening for the difference between taking and keeping.

Malou

He has the right to bind it. Now he must choose what kind of lord he becomes.

The next step is plain, Huarti must declare the archive's first law, and by that law decide what the desert's new dominion protects, claims, or forbids.

Shape what the archive protects

I relax my demonic power slightly and alter my self more naturally red dragon for the moment

SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +0)

The Archive Awaits the First Law

Huarti lets the force in him settle, and the chamber answers with a gentler hush. The red in his skin deepens into a steadier, more natural dragon hue, the harsher blotches smoothing like cooling embers.

The huge archive around him keeps its new shape, but it no longer feels strained by his presence. The air loosens. The black stone seems to hold its breath, waiting.

That is different... calmer. It suits this place better than thunder.

Malou

Malou

A desert mark wants patience. This form feels closer to a law carved slow, not forced.

Annika tilts her head toward the shifting walls, eyes bright with reverence. Malou rests one hand against the stone, as if listening to the archive through his palm.

If this archive keeps a first law, what shape do you mean for it to keep?

The chamber remains still, receptive, while both wait on Huarti's answer.

That mana cycles healthily through the lands, that vile obstructs dont form and cause it to not recycle like the winds blowing around and spinning

SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled -1)

The Archive Awaits the First Law

Huarti lifts one hand, and the archive listens. The air over the black floor shivers into a slow, visible current, like wind taught to circle without tearing.

A ring of pale script blooms through the chamber, then sinks into the walls and far beyond them, threading the desert with steady circulation. Nothing foul lingers in the pattern.

Where hidden knots of waste and corruption try to gather, the law turns them aside. The flow passes, cleanses, and returns.

It is set. The archive breathes, and the land with it.

Then this is the first law, recorded by witness and will, no choking obstruction, only healthy return.

The glow settles into the stone. In its wake, a faint route appears in the script, showing what the archive now guards, the living cycle of mana through the spires, the terrace, and the desert beyond.

Shall I mark that as its charge, Huarti, or do you name a wider boundary?
