The nursery stills on the last words of Huarti's vow. Then the air turns frigid and heavy, and the blue brood flinches as if an ancient name has entered the room.

Huarti
I destroyed what threatened them all, so if you have a real emergency you can rely on my...
His words hang unfinished while the sand horizon burns with motion. A vast blue shape descends outside the castle edge, and its power presses through the walls before its body fully appears.
The hatchlings recoil from Huarti and then stare past him, wide-eyed, drawn and terrified by the mother their blood remembers. Even the eggs seem to hush under that pressure.

The Blue Mother
...Who stands over my brood?
Crimson residue near the floor thins to dust as the blue authority settles deeper, questioning, immense, and unmistakably real. Huarti stands between nest and threshold, with the brood caught between old fear and the promise he has made.
“She is evil and prude, spitting on her vileness would ultimately insult her?”
YES (Likely, rolled 26)

Huarti
Her pride is a brittle shell, and my disdain would shatter it more effectively than any blade.

The Blue Mother
You reek of false divinity and stolen rites, little devil. Do you truly believe your petty posturing earns you a place in my sanctuary?
“I release a lighting bolt of controlled red lighting on the evil dragon mother”
SUCCESS (Good Red electric, rolled +3)

Huarti lifts one long hand, and a tight red bolt snaps from his fingertips into the Blue Mother’s chest. Blue scales flash white, then dim under a crawling crimson crackle.

The Blue Mother
Enough. I feel your claim... but you do not rule this nest by force alone.
She recoils one step, then steadies, smoke curling from her throat. The hatchlings flinch back from her shadow, but they do not run to her.

Huarti
The strike lands cleanly.
A few eggs give off a faint answering hum, the blue light in the nursery wavering around Huarti’s red glare.

The Blue Mother
Prove it, devil. Bind them to you, or leave my brood untouched.
“I strike her with draining red lighting”
SUCCESS (Good Red electric, rolled -1)

Huarti answers with another red lash, thinner this time, not a blast but a hook. It bites into the Blue Mother’s chest and drains the heat from her scales in a visible rush.

The Blue Mother
Her breath catches. The glow in her throat dims, and for a heartbeat her pride looks heavier than her body.
The hatchlings stop trembling long enough to stare. One egg gives a soft, steady hum, as if it recognizes the change.

Huarti
The drain holds.

The Blue Mother
If you mean to keep them, then show them they survive under you.
Her wings lower, not in surrender, but in guarded restraint. The nest no longer belongs to her shadow alone.
The brood presses closer together, still afraid, but no longer trying to flee past Huarti. They watch both dragons, waiting for the next command.
“I say, you have to die, and shock her with red draining electric”
SUCCESS (Good Red electric, rolled +2)

Huarti
You have to die.
Huarti lifts one hand and sends the red draining shock straight through her chest. Her blue glow gutters at once, then pours away in a thin, smoking stream.

The Blue Mother
No...
The sound dies in her throat. Her wings sag, and the nest light turns colder around her body.
A faint pulse slips from her into the nearest egg, then into the brood, like a last lesson carried by heat.
The Blue Mother collapses silent at Huarti’s feet. The hatchlings do not run. They only stare, small and shaken, waiting to see who commands the nursery now.
“I cast zone of sweet air and dispel evil”
SUCCESS (Good Arcana, rolled +1)

Huarti spreads his hand over the nest and speaks the working. Red light thins into a wide, gentle haze, sweet as ripe fruit and warm wind.
The nursery breathes differently. The stale tang of fear and old blue spite loosens, and the eggs catch the glow without shuddering.
A dim stain of malice lifts from the shell-flecked floor, then breaks apart like soot in a draft.
The hatchlings stop trembling so hard. One lowers its head. Another inches closer to the eggs instead of away from them.
The brood’s watchful fear turns softer, wary but no longer hunted. The nest itself feels calmer under Huarti’s hold.
From the cluster, a small hatchling lifts its chin toward Huarti and gives a thin, uncertain chirp, as if waiting for his next command.
“I pray to Aerdrie Faenya and shine her stars light on the brood”
SUCCESS (Good Arcana, rolled -1)

Huarti lifts his hand again, and the red haze around his fingers changes shape.
A bright, starry shimmer answers above the nest, as if a clear night opens inside the nursery.
Soft points of light spill over the brood, tracing each shell and small scaled brow with cool silver-blue glints.

Hatchlings
A chorus of small chirps rises, hushed and eager, all turned toward Huarti.
The eggs keep their calm glow, now speckled with those drifting stars.

Hatchlings
One hatchling presses closer to Huarti’s shadow and tilts its head, waiting.
Above them, the starlight settles like a blessing on the brood, and the nursery falls quiet for the next command.
“I speak the name of the strongest, massive green male dragon, the best gaurdian for them to follow, his name "Earlise"”
SUCCESS (Great Willpower, rolled +2)

Huarti lowers his lifted hand and lets the starlight gather between his fingers. His voice rolls through the nest, calm and absolute.

Huarti
Earlise.
The name settles over the brood like a new crest. A few hatchlings blink up at Huarti, then at one another, as if testing the sound.

Hatchlings
Earlise...?
One hatchling edges forward from the eggs and lifts its snout toward Huarti, bold now, not fleeing.

Hatchlings
If Earlise guards us, then we follow where you point.
The nest answers with a warm, steady hush. The eggs keep their calm gleam, and the brood’s attention stays fixed on Huarti, waiting for the next word.
