Huarti stands at the edge of the sand comb castle, where the desert thins into giant dunes. Beyond the half-buried wall, a blue dragon nursery glows with shell-blue light. Eggs lie in neat clusters, warm and restless.
A dozen hatchlings twitch inside their shells. The air shivers as conjured blue ghost guards hold their places, pale humanoid outlines with spear-shapes of mist. They do not look friendly.
