The warehouse door slams behind Dallas, cutting off the last warm light. Harbor wind knifes across the yard, and the crane light flickers over Adrian Pike by the sedan, calm as a man at his own wake.

Dallas Fontaine

Dallas Fontaine

Pike is waiting for the ledger, not the gun.

Murderbone lowers into a silent guard at Dallas’s side. Calabash stays back by the door, tense and ready, while the sedan idles with its exhaust bleeding white into the dark.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

You took long enough, Fontaine. Hand over the evidence and maybe you walk out of here breathing.

Somewhere beyond the containers, a vehicle door thumps shut. Then another. Clean-up crew, close enough to hear.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

They are already sweeping the pier. If they find you with that file, you disappear. If I find you with it first, you still have options.

Dallas has Pike in the open, the evidence in his coat, and the only exit narrowing by the second. One move here decides whether he leaves Far Harbor with the truth or dies in its teeth.

I tell Calabash. He won't expect me to eat this. When I get close to him flashbang out I'll atleast be prepared. Then you and murderbone take him down. Just keep him alive for me. I call out to Pyke. "Well played Pyke. I always admired your chess game. I can live with a stalemate. I give you the file. You and I get out of here and we continue playing." I walk toward pyke.

Calabash, hear me. When I get close, flashbang. Then you and Murderbone take him down. Keep him alive if you can.

Dallas steps out from the door shadow and lifts one hand toward Pike, the other easing the file free where it can be seen. His voice stays smooth, almost tired, as if he is conceding ground instead of setting a trap.

Dallas Fontaine

Dallas Fontaine

Well played, Pike. I can live with a stalemate. You and I walk out, and we keep playing.

Adrian Pike

He takes the bait, but not the whole hook.

Pike’s shoulders loosen by a fraction, enough to invite the lie. He shifts his weight beside the sedan, eyes on the file, not the dark shape at Dallas’s flank.

Calabash moves on the warehouse line, matching Dallas’s approach, while Murderbone creeps low through the wet glare, silent as a shadow with teeth.

Across the pier, the first cleanup vehicle rolls closer, headlights sweeping the containers. Pike starts to reach, and the yard holds its breath.

Dallas drops the flashbang at Pike’s feet and folds hard into the slick concrete, coat snapping around him as he dives low.

White light detonates inside the yard. The sedan windows bloom blind, and Pike jerks back with a curse, his reach breaking off midair.

Murderbone surges through the glare at ankle height, teeth bared, while Calabash lunges in from the door line, using the flash as cover.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

Now!

Pike’s shout cracks the pier open. The cleanup vehicles kill distance fast, tires hissing on wet pavement as their doors start to fly.

Dallas lands clear of the blast, the evidence still with him, but the yard is no longer Pike’s alone. Men spill from the vehicles toward the sedan and the warehouse door.

Pike staggers half-blind beside the car, reaching for his pistol by feel as Murderbone closes, and Calabash crashes into him from the side.

I have Calabash use his other fashbang on the incoming team while the are still clustered by their vehicles. Murderbone and I are on Pyke. I put my gun to his head and tell him "Remember last time we were in this spot mother fucker. Remember my words? Call them off or after you die. everyone that you love and everyone that loves you that becomes my next target. That already happens if I die today. With my contacts you think I came here with without contingencies in place. Topple your king, call this game and your kids might make the bus stop."

You... you're insane, Fontaine. They don't care about the ledger, they care about the silence. But... fine. I'll signal them.

Is Pike willing to betray the cleanup crew?

Dallas Fontaine

Dallas Fontaine

He is terrified enough to burn his own masters, but he is still looking for a lifeline.

Pike reaches into his coat, his fingers trembling as he pulls out a small, encrypted radio transmitter, his eyes darting toward the approaching cleanup crew.

I order Pike to signal the cleanup crew

Dallas gives the order without raising his voice. Pike swallows, turns the transmitter toward the cleanup crew, and thumbs the send. His voice cracks as he tells them the package is compromised and to hold fire.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

Hold your fire. The package is compromised. Stand by, stand by... I’m serious.

The nearest vehicle answers with a hard burst of brake lights. A second shape in the glare stops short, then another, the whole line of cleanup cars hesitating in the yard like dogs told to sit.

Calabash keeps low beside the shuttered door, ready but waiting. Murderbone bares his teeth at the headlights, then shifts a half-step closer to Dallas, guarding his flank.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

They’re listening... for now. If I’m wrong, I’m dead.

Beyond Pike, one of the cleanup crew figures lifts a hand in the glare, signaling the others to freeze. Another man climbs down from the lead vehicle and starts angling toward the pier office, slow and deliberate.

Pike’s radio clicks open with a hiss of static. From the darkness past the headlights, a voice answers him by code, asking for confirmation on the compromised package and who has it now.

"Last chance Pyke." I tell Pike to order them to stand down. I speak into my headset. "This is it team be prepared to execute your targets." I tell pyke " If you survive you have the opportunity to move your family somewhere safe before we meet again. Your call."

Last chance, Pike. Stand them down.

Dallas speaks into the headset, calm and clipped, and the words carry through the yard like a warrant. Pike stiffens. The radio in his hand crackles, then he barks the order with a broken edge in his voice.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

Stand down. Nobody fires. I repeat, stand down.

The line of headlights holds, but the men behind them start shifting, hands lowering from their weapons. One of them steps out into the glare, trying to read Dallas through the white wash.

Dallas Fontaine

Dallas Fontaine

Team, be ready to execute your targets.

Dallas’s voice stays level, and the yard tightens around it. Calabash rises from cover with his weapon set, while Murderbone moves in front of Dallas, a black shape cutting the light from his coat.

Dallas Fontaine

Dallas Fontaine

If you survive, you can get your family somewhere safe before we meet again. Your call.

Pike’s face drains in the headlights. He turns his head toward the lead car, then back to Dallas, and finally into the radio. The cleanup crew stops pretending this is routine, every man waiting for the next command.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

Hold your positions. Do not engage. Nobody touches the evidence.

I tell Pyke " See we can work together have them drop their weapons. So we avoid anything unnecessary. Let's diffuse this situation before its beyond both our control."

Adrian Pike

Weapons down. No one fires. Nobody makes a move.

Across the yard, shoulders loosen under the headlights. One crewman lowers his pistol, then another, the whole line of men hesitating like they have just been cut loose from a wire.

Calabash

Calabash

He’s folding. Now.

Pike lowers the transmitter and takes one careful step back, face pale as paper. The lead car stays parked, engine running, but its occupants stop pretending this is a raid.

The cleanup crew’s guns come down together, clattering to hoods and concrete. Pike looks from Dallas to the vehicles, waiting for the next order.

Dallas drives in hard and takes Pike at the hips. Pike goes down in the glare, transmitter skittering across wet concrete.

Calabash opens up from the side, and Dallas fires with him. The first line of cleanup men flinch back as one, weapons forgotten on hoods and gravel.

One man turns to run, then another. Their formation breaks under the crack of gunfire and shouted panic, the whole crew collapsing into cover.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

Stop, stop, hold fire!

Pike crawls on one elbow, pale and stunned, while the crew stare at him instead of Dallas. Their stand-down is over, replaced by fear.

Across the yard, a car door slams. The cleanup team finally shows its hand, not with discipline, but with retreating bodies and dropped metal.

We mercilessly pick off the wounded on the ground in front of the others. Till it's just Pyke and us. Calabash and i make sure he is unarmed and stand over him.

Dallas turns the pistol on the men already down in the gravel and wet glare. Two quick reports crack the yard, and the wounded stop moving. The cleanup line recoils, staring at the bodies instead of Pike.

Calabash steps in hard beside Dallas, gun leveled low. Another cutdown man tries to raise an arm, but Calabash puts a round through the concrete near his hand and the weapon flies away.

Murderbone holds the space between Pike and the retreating crew, teeth bared, keeping them from closing. Pike lies flat on his back now, stripped of reach, the transmitter useless beside him.

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike

He is not moving. I did what you wanted. Keep them off me.

The crew finally show their hand. One man throws his weapon down and backs away with both palms open. Another reaches for the car door instead, not to fight, just to flee.

Dallas and Calabash stand over Pike together. The file, the transmitter, and the bodies lie in a tight ring of cold light, while the last cleanup men hang at the edge of the yard, waiting for a signal that never comes.

I tell Pyke " the whole kill family thing. Dude I was bluffing. Id never do that. What do you think I am some kind of psychopath?" Calabash and I move him to his knees execution style. We recite the oath we all took and Pyke betrayed. ODINS WILL GAVE US LIFE, AND WE GAVE BLOOD TO BE HIS KNIFE, LOYALTY EVEN IN DEATH, ODINS WILL TILL OUR LAST BREATH. Calabash and I simultaneously discharge our pistols into the back of Pykes head.

The kill family thing. I was bluffing. What do you think I am, some kind of psychopath?

Dallas hauls Pike upright by the collar and forces him down to his knees in the glare of the yard. Calabash steps in close, matching the line of Dallas's revolver.

The oath comes out low and flat, shared between them like a sentence already passed. Pike looks up once, eyes wide, and realizes there is no bargain left.

Two pistols crack together into the back of Pike's head. He folds forward without a sound, the concrete taking the rest of him.

The cleanup crew flinches hard. One man drops to his knees with both hands raised, and another shoves open a car door, trying to vanish before Dallas can look his way.

Inside Pike's coat, Dallas spots a folded manifest card stamped with Pier Nine routing marks and a handwritten downstairs number for Hart's office. It flutters free onto the wet concrete.

Calabash keeps his gun on the wavering line. The crew stops waiting and starts choosing, and every choice now points away from the yard.

I grab the card and roll Pyke over and take a picture of what remains of his face after two point blank rounds exited it. I send it to Elena. With the text. Insert Pykes face here. Hopefully now your finally unemployed. Calabash and I meet up with Jax and Elena outside.
