The air grows thin and impossibly cold as Kalazan steps onto the summit of the Spire. Gone is the oppressive basalt of the courtyard, replaced by a circular gallery of shifting, translucent ice that groans under the weight of the gale.

The Hooded Inquisitor
The wind sings for you, Commander. The Obsidian Lens rests ahead, held aloft by the gravity of the void itself.

Kalazan
The frost here tastes of old stars and iron.

Unit Captain Brann
Commander, look. The structure is not stone at all. It is bone. Massive, ancient bone anchored into the mountain peak.

A Dark Arcana Caster
My wards are fraying. Whatever binds this place, it does not want us to claim the prize.
Before them, suspended in a cage of jagged, pulsating obsidian, the Lens flickers with the same violet light that recently threatened to consume the Hold.

“I ring my clarity bell”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled -2)

Kalazan pulls the clarity bell from his robe and strikes it. A sharp, crystalline note cuts through the howling gale, resonating against the ancient fossilized ribs.
The violet snowstorm shudders, the chaotic flakes freezing in mid-air as the magical frequency of the bell ripples outward. The Obsidian Lens lets out a shrill, metallic groan, its pulsating light suddenly dimming to a steady, rhythmic thrum.

A Dark Arcana Caster
The dissonance is gone. It is almost as if the relic is... waiting.

Unit Captain Brann
The wind has died down, Commander. You have silenced the storm itself.
With the interference swept away, the true nature of the dais reveals itself. Beneath the floating Lens, a series of dormant, glowing ley-lines trace intricate patterns across the ice floor, pointing directly toward the Pale Moon tunnel entrance hidden in the cliffside.

Kalazan
The path is laid bare, and the resonance remains under my control.
