Adventure of Kalazan 1

Kalazan drags the heavy form of the Inquisitor across the threshold, emerging from the stifling crystalline tunnel into the echoing expanse of the Star-Chart Vault. The floor here is polished, cool basalt that hums softly under the Minotaur's hooves.

Above, the vaulted ceiling reflects the constellations of a dead age, pulsing in slow, rhythmic amber light. The oppressive scent of ozone fades, replaced by the faint, metallic tang of ancient star-metal.

Kalazan drops the Inquisitor at the base of the central pedestal. The bound captive grunts, but the shadows in the room stretch and contort toward the obsidian seal still clutched in Kalazan's grip.

The obsidian seal emits a low, resonant thrum that causes the floating crystalline pillars to rotate in agitation. Kalazan stands amidst the swirling light, his shadow cast long and jagged against the star-mapped floor.

Kalazan lifts his staff, the tip glowing with a soft, radiant golden hum as he points toward the ceiling. He focuses his will on the star of Aerdrie Faenya, projecting his own royal heritage and firm conviction into the ancient star-map.

The constellation flares to life. A brilliant, divine radiance pours down from the ceiling, washing over the pedestal and the obsidian seal in Kalazan's hand.

The seal shudders, the violet pulse dying as the golden light purifies the obsidian surface. A secret compartment in the floor slides open silently, revealing a scroll of pure starlight resting upon a velvet cushion.
