Red light chops the corridor into hard stripes. Elizabeth is over the fallen guard in a blink, while the other man scrambles for the steel door and his radio. Marla stares, frozen. Elias backs up, horrified.

Thadeus Jovanović
Elizabeth moved too fast for a normal person.

Elizabeth Bathory
Thadeus, do not let him raise that radio. If Revenant knows we are here, the case is gone.
The fleeing guard reaches the door and jams at the handle, shoulder half-turned, eyes wide with panic. The Peacebringer is still with Thadeus, and the hallway is suddenly a race between warning and extraction.

Elias the Shopkeeper
She just dropped him like that. Thadeus, what is she?

Marla
Thadeus, focus. The door, the case, now.
Elizabeth does not look back at the unconscious guard. She watches Thadeus instead, tense and ready, as if waiting for his choice to decide whether she is ally or threat.
“Thadeus whips Peacebringer towards the Revenant guard, striking true, causing the guard to burst into bright blue flame.”
SUCCESS (Fair Athletics, rolled +1)

Thadeus snaps the Peacebringer forward. The line of blue fire catches the fleeing guard mid-turn, and his radio slips from his hand before he can key it.
The guard stumbles back from the blast, clothing smoking, then drops hard near the steel door. The corridor flares white-blue, washing out the red emergency light for a beat.

Thadeus Jovanović
The radio is dead.

Marla
Good. Move.

Elias the Shopkeeper
What did I just see?

Elizabeth Bathory
Now they know we are here. Keep going, Thadeus.
The fallen radio skitters under the wall pipes, silent. Down the hall, the steel door stands shut, and Elizabeth is already looking past the bodies toward it, waiting for Thadeus to choose the next step.
“Thadeus looks down at his hand holding Peacebringer, realizing his palm is scorched. He tells Elias "we need to find out why I'm being singed by Peacebringer later". The party moves towards the steel door the guards were protecting and see a keypad with the same symbol from the scorched ID card”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +2)

Thadeus glances down at his hand, and the skin at his palm has gone red from the Peacebringer’s grip. The steel door waits ahead, guard abandoned, while the blue flare thins to a sick glow.

Thadeus Jovanović
We need to find out why I am getting singed by the Peacebringer later.
He steps to the keypad under the wall pipes, the same symbol from the scorched ID card stamped beside the buttons. Elias hangs back, still rattled, while Marla watches Thadeus work.
Thadeus presses the matching symbol. The keypad chirps once, then accepts the input and unlocks the door with a heavy clunk.
The steel door eases inward, revealing a darker chamber beyond. The corridor air shifts, carrying stale concrete and machine oil out toward them.

Marla
Good. Now move before someone hears that lock.

Elizabeth Bathory
That symbol is a handoff mark. I told you this trail was real.
Elias flinches at Elizabeth’s voice, but Thadeus has the door open and the path is live.
“Thadeus leads the party through the open doorway, waiting for the team to find the next link in the chain to the Revenant stronghold. During this time, Thadeus bandages his hand to help heal the burns left by Peacebringer”
SUCCESS (Superb Health, rolled -1)

Thadeus shoulders through the doorway first, Peacebringer low and steady, as the others file in behind him. The corridor swallows the loading dock noise, turning it into a dull hum behind steel and concrete.
He pulls a strip of cloth from his pocket and wraps his burned palm with quick, practiced turns. The red skin disappears beneath the rough bandage, and his grip settles again.

Marla
Locked in. Move light, move fast.

Elias the Shopkeeper
He keeps glancing back the way they came, still pale from Elizabeth's speed.

Elizabeth Bathory
Stay close. The next link is ahead, and they will hear if we hesitate.
The open steel door hangs behind them like a warning. Ahead, the darker chamber waits, and somewhere beyond it, footsteps shift over concrete.
Thadeus finishes the wrap and leads the party forward, hand guarded, weapon ready, while the corridor narrows toward the sound.
“Thadeus realizes the room the party is in is an armory. Pistols, submachine guns and body armor are in great supply, like the Revenant are preparing to go to war. Thadeus asks Elizabeth "what are the Revenant planning to do with all of this?"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled -2)

The chamber opens wide enough to show stacked rifles, bundled magazines, and rows of black body armor on metal shelving. Thadeus slows, reading the room at a glance.

Thadeus Jovanović
This is an armory.
He lifts the Peacebringer a fraction, its glow catching on nylon vests and pistol grips. The bandage on his right hand creases as he tightens his hold.

Thadeus Jovanović
What are the Revenant planning to do with all of this?

Elizabeth Bathory
Enough to take a fight beyond these walls. This is not a stash, it is a march table.

Elias the Shopkeeper
He recoils at the racks, staring at the armor like it might move.

Marla
Then we have their shopping list, and they do not expect us to be here yet.
Elizabeth's hands flex into sharp shapes at her sides, and the Peacebringer flares brighter for a beat in response. Somewhere deeper in the corridor, a door thuds once, warning them the room is not as empty as it looks.
“Thadeus directs Marla and Elias to grab armor and whatever weapon and ammo they can carry. Meanwhile, Elizabeth rushes down the hallway near the sound they heard in the distance. Thadeus cannot see, but hears the brief scream of a man Elizabeth clearly crushed with her claws. Thadeus wonders if the scream was heard by additional guards.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +1)

Thadeus snaps a short command, and the tension breaks into motion. Marla and Elias move to the racks, grabbing armor, magazines, and whatever rifles they can carry without fumbling.
Elias flinches at the first vest he lifts, then forces it on with shaking hands. Marla shoves a stack of magazines into her coat and scans the corridor as she works.
Thadeus keeps the Peacebringer angled toward the hall, its light still harsh against the metal shelves. The distant scream cuts off abruptly, and the room seems to hold its breath.

Thadeus Jovanović
That scream carried.
A second silence follows, thinner than the first, with nothing immediate answering it. Somewhere beyond the armory, footsteps seem to shuffle and then hesitate.
Marla tightens the strap on a vest and gives Thadeus a quick look, ready but controlled. Elias clutches a rifle he clearly does not trust, while the Peacebringer's glow washes over the open gear like a warning.
“Thadeus sees Elizabeth in the distance, motioning for the party to follow her. Thadeus leads Marla and Elias towards Elizabeth. As they walk, they see the corpse of the guard Elizabeth eviscerated in a bloody mess.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +2)

Thadeus catches Elizabeth's quick signal in the far end of the armory and starts them moving at once. Marla falls in beside him, and Elias follows with his rifle held too tight to be useful.
He threads them between the shelving, the Peacebringer throwing hard light across stacked helmets and spare plates. Elias keeps glancing back, but he keeps pace.
They round the end of a rack and the dead guard comes into view, sprawled in a dark rush on the concrete. Marla stops short, then forces herself to keep moving.
Elizabeth waits beyond the body, one hand raised in a sharp, urgent beckon. Her other hand flexes once, all claws and tension, as if she is already listening for the next alarm.
Thadeus brings Marla and Elias right up to her position, cutting off the open floor before the next corridor can swallow them. The route ahead narrows into shadow, and the armory feels suddenly too small.

Elias the Shopkeeper
He swallowed too much fear back there, but the blood on the floor makes it real.
