The blizzard thickens across Frosty Slops, erasing the lift towers and turning every trail into a pale blur. Rosmira climbs on foot, skis strapped to her pack, while her bruised hip aches beneath the padding.
Wind swallows the resort’s warning siren before it reaches her. A random trail branches away from the marked slope, and Rosmira follows it until the familiar runs vanish behind curtains of snow.

Kania Bloom
Rosmira should have reached us by now. She was right behind us after that last turn.
At the next beginner run, Kania scans the white emptiness while Leon, Nayla, and Jews check the lift line. Helga hurries over, her mechanic’s jacket snapping in the wind.

Helga
She never came through this gate. I will trace the trail markers, but the snowfall is covering tracks almost immediately.
Near the upper lift station, Rathem appears through the blowing snow, pale-faced and red-eyed beneath a dark winter coat, his board tucked under one arm.

Rathem
I saw someone take the wrong trail uphill. If that was Rosmira, I can show you where the tracks split.

Contact Rosmira
“Ros lost in the blizzard looks for any sign to show her the way. the blizzard doesnt help much due to the freezing cold and no cell service. But in the distance is a small shack it looks like.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled -1)

Rosmira shields her face and searches through the whiteout for trail poles, lift cables, packed tracks, or any shape that can guide her back. The cold bites through her gloves, and her phone finds no service.

Rosmira
The wind is hiding the trail, but something solid is visible ahead.
A squat wooden shack rises beyond the blowing snow, its roof heavy with white and one amber window glowing steadily. A weathered sign points toward it from a buried path.
Rosmira follows the sign, skis secured to her pack, and reaches the shack safely. Its walls break the wind, revealing fresh bootprints and a small rabbit-kin woman waiting by the door.
LingLing is an adult rabbit-kin woman with a sturdy build, warm brown fur, long ears tucked beneath a knitted red cap, and a patched blue mountain coat.

LingLing
There you are! Come inside before this storm turns your search into a frozen adventure. I am LingLing, and this shack is mine tonight.
LingLing opens the door wide. Lanternlight spills across the snow, and a hand-drawn map beside the stove clearly marks the route back toward Frosty Slops and the resort.

Return to Frosty Slops and reunite with the group
“Um sorry to intrude i was lost. I was on my way up this slop and a blizzard hit out of no where. I dont even know how far i am away from my group.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Conversation, rolled -2)

Rosmira
Sorry to intrude. I got lost when the blizzard came through, and I do not know how far I am from my group.
LingLing steps aside, keeping the door open against the wind. Snow has soaked Rosmira’s gloves, and her phone’s dying battery gives one final useless flicker.

LingLing
You are not intruding. Come inside and warm up. Your group is still at the upper beginner run, roughly twenty minutes downhill in clear weather.
LingLing points to the hand-drawn map beside the stove, tracing a sheltered service path that avoids the buried trail where Rosmira became separated.

LingLing
In this whiteout, do not try walking back alone. I can contact the resort from my radio and tell them exactly where you are.
She pulls a wool blanket from a chair and offers it to Rosmira, then turns the radio dial. Static crackles before Helga’s anxious voice answers from the resort.

Helga
LingLing, is Rosmira with you? Keep her inside. We are organizing a careful route to the shack now.
