The kiss ends as a muffled impact rolls through the tunnel above. Dust sifts from the ceiling, and a faint howl vibrates through the pipes.
Jews
That came from the Clan Halls. They are moving someone, and we may already be late.
Jews folds the copied ledger and slips it inside her coat. She points toward the rusted ladder, where fresh boot prints cross the damp floor and vanish beneath a maintenance door.
Jews
The service route splits here. One path climbs toward the dungeon levels. The other leads under the ceremonial hall, where Fanrir keeps his public guards.
A metallic scrape sounds beyond the maintenance door, followed by a strained breath and the brief clink of restraints. The noise stops, then starts again closer.
Jews
Please let that be Leon and Nayla. Please let them still have enough strength to hear us coming.
Jews
We have seconds before whoever is inside reaches the junction. Ros, which route do we take?
“Knowing Fanrir he defiantly split them up. You take the path to the hall and try and find the other person. Ill check the dungeon and see who is inside. and Jews with a soft kiss please be safe.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +0)
Rosmira turns toward Jews, then draws her close. Their soft kiss is brief and tender, carrying reassurance through the damp tunnel.
Rosmira
Please be safe. Take the ceremonial hall. I will check the dungeon.
Jews
I will. Find whoever Fanrir put down there, and come back to me.
Jews slips toward the upper passage while Rosmira climbs the other route. Their footsteps separate beneath the pipes as another muffled impact shudders through the Clan Halls.
Rosmira reaches the dungeon level and finds an iron door standing ajar. Inside, a single restrained figure sits beneath a failing lamp, white fur streaked with rain and dust.
Leon
Rosmira? I knew you would come. Nayla was taken toward the ceremonial hall, but I could not follow.
The lock yields beneath Rosmira’s hand, and the door opens fully. Leon lifts his head, exhausted but conscious, while distant bells begin ringing above them.

“So wolf boy want to tell me how you ended up here and why you didnt just turn into your giant wolf like before.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Conversation, rolled +2)
Rosmira
So, wolf boy, tell me how you ended up here, and why you did not turn into that giant wolf like before.
Leon shifts against the loosened restraints, rubbing his wrists as the failing lamp catches the rain-dark streaks in his white fur. His ears flatten with embarrassment.
Leon
They caught me near the service tunnels. The first chain locked around my throat, and the second one carried a suppression mark.
Leon
I tried to change, but the spell forced me back. Every attempt left me weaker, so I stayed in this form and waited for a chance to break free.
He glances toward the open doorway, then back to Rosmira. The distant bells continue above, muffled by stone and the heavy machinery of the Clan Halls.
Leon
They dragged me here after Nayla. She fought harder than I could, and they took her toward the ceremonial hall when the guards realized I was resisting.
Leon
I could hear her calling out once. Then the restraints tightened. I am sorry, Rosmira. I could not reach her, and I could not turn into anything strong enough to stop them.
“ros with out warning give leon a long awaited kiss just out of joy of seeing him again. she also tells him dont worry our powerful vampire if on her way to look for her. WE should get going though before they return.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Conversation, rolled +4)
Rosmira crosses the cramped dungeon space and kisses Leon without warning, long and fervent, turning the Clan Halls’ distant bells into a dull, forgotten murmur.
Leon
She came back for me. I am not alone in this place.
Leon
Rosmira... I missed you too. That is a much better reason to stop apologizing.
Rosmira
Do not worry. Our powerful vampire is on her way to find Nayla. We should get going before the guards return.
Leon nods and rises with Rosmira’s support. The suppression chain slips from his throat and clatters free, its mark extinguished by the warmth of her touch.
Leon
Then lead on. I can walk, and I can still hear Nayla through these walls. She is beneath the ceremonial hall.
A maintenance hatch behind the failing lamp swings open, revealing a clean service stair upward. Fresh boot prints lead away from it, giving them a silent route out of the dungeon.
“Well pretty boy unless you can transform your not going to be much help getting her out. suddenly a scream of pain his heard coing from jews direction and it sounded like jews. with out thought LEon changes and on all fours runs while Ros wings carry her like a blur.”
SUCCESS (Superb Agility, rolled +1)
Rosmira
Well, pretty boy, unless you can transform, you are not going to be much help getting her out.
A scream of pain tears through the service stairwell from Jews’s direction. Leon’s ears snap forward, and the suppression mark on his collar flares once before breaking apart.
White fur surges across Leon’s body as he transforms on all fours. He launches up the stairs, claws striking sparks from the stone while Rosmira’s great wings unfurl.
Leon
Jews! Hold on! I am coming!
Rosmira becomes a silver-and-gold blur above him, wings driving hard through the narrow shaft. They reach the ceremonial passage together as another cry echoes beneath the hall.
Leon skids around the final bend, and Rosmira lands beside him at the open ceremonial chamber. Jews is visible beyond the threshold, braced against a carved pillar.
Jews
About time, you two. I have had a very unpleasant conversation with Fanrir’s guards.
