Zhurrem knifes through the mist in broken zigzags, his bronze hide flashing, then vanishing. Below, the trio hurls their spells upward, but the clouds swallow the first impacts.
Kamakulzar braces low on Zhurrem's back and flings fire into the white below. The burst tears a hole in the fog and makes the hooded figures scatter apart.

The Hooded Figure
It is tracking the mark. Keep it from the spire!
A second exchange snaps through the mist, bronze light and hostile magic colliding over the marsh. Zhurrem darts out of the cloudbank on the far side, untouched, while the trio's formation breaks.
The Iron Spire swells ahead, black and jagged against the pale sky. Beneath it, the marsh's necrotic lattice glows in faint veins, as if something below is trying to stand.

The Second Cloaked Figure
He reaches the anchor, and then it hardens.
Zhurrem surges faster, carrying Kamakulzar straight toward the spire and the sick pulse under the ice. The pursuit becomes a race now, with the entity closing on flesh.

Reach the Iron Spire
“I hold on”
SUCCESS (Great Health, rolled +1)

Kamakulzar keeps his grip, forearm locked around Zhurrem’s neck as the dragon plunges through a ribbon of mist. The wind claws at his smoking hand, but he stays on.
Zhurrem levels for a breath, bronze wings beating hard. Below them, the marsh’s glowing veins sharpen into a jagged path leading straight toward the spire.

The Hooded Figure
Too late. The anchor is waking.
The three hooded figures regroup in the air below, their spells knitting into a narrow, rising line. White light threads upward after the pair.

The Second Cloaked Figure
Drive them lower. Break the flight.
Kamakulzar’s staff shifts in his fist as the dragon surges again. The Iron Spire grows larger through the fog, its black face now close enough to count the seams in the stone.

The Third Cloaked Figure
Strike the mark, now!
A crack of hostile magic snaps past Zhurrem’s flank, and the air jolts with the impact. Kamakulzar holds on as the chase tightens into a final dive toward the spire.
“I cast identify on them”
SUCCESS (Great Arcana, rolled -1)

Kamakulzar snaps his sight over the trio and speaks the identify rite under his breath. The spell catches, and their silhouettes peel open in his mind, name and shape joining together at once.

Kamakulzar
The first is a spellcaster, the second is a binder, the third is the striker.
The magic bites back as it settles. His smoking hand flares with pain, and the air around him shivers hard enough to whiten the frost on Zhurrem's scales.

The Hooded Figure
He is reading us.

The Second Cloaked Figure
Then cut the dragon loose.

The Third Cloaked Figure
Mark his hand, now!
Below the words, Kamakulzar sees it clearly, the hooded trio are not random pursuers at all. Their magic is tied together by one line of purpose, and that line is dragging straight toward his blood-mark as the spire looms dead ahead.
“I cast silence on the main caster of the trio”
SUCCESS (Great Arcana, rolled +0)

Kamakulzar tightens the spell around the main caster, and the air shuts up around them. Sound drops away in a hard, clean bubble, swallowing the hooded figure's words and the whip of the wind alike.
The caster flinches mid-air, mouth still moving behind the hush, but nothing carries. Their hands stutter in empty gestures as the silence clamps onto them.

The Hooded Figure
Impossible.
The cost hits at once. Kamakulzar's smoking hand flashes white-hot with pain, and a sheet of frost crawls across Zhurrem's side where the spell bites the cold air.

The Second Cloaked Figure
The line is broken. Move, now!
But the silence holds on the spellcaster, and that one mute gap in their triangle cracks the rhythm of their pursuit. The trio's coordination falters, just enough to expose the Iron Spire looming straight ahead through the mist.
Kamakulzar sees it clearly now, the spellcaster is the mouth of the three, and without that mouth their hunt stumbles. The marshal-cold wind keeps pushing them toward the spire, while the tethered sky around the trio frays.
