Zhurrem Pins the Winter Wolfmarsh edge beyond the fortress cell block
Zhurrem Pins the Winter Wolf

The pack shrinks back into the reeds, ears flat and bodies low, while Zhurrem surges toward the winter wolf in a hard, frozen blur. Kamakulzar’s bone-mark throbs once, as if the marsh itself is listening.

Zhurrem meets the wolf head-on. They rear, crash together, and lock jaw to jaw, claws skidding through frost-slick mud. The winter wolf heaves, but Zhurrem keeps driving forward.

The smaller wolves only cower now, petty and frantic, too afraid to leap back in. Their whines fade under the wet grind of muscle and bone as Zhurrem wrenches the winter wolf sideways.

Kamakulzar feels the pull in his mark sharpen. The pulse comes from the dead hunter’s trail, from the cold hunger in the marsh, from something supernatural noticing the violence and answering it.

Zhurrem slams the winter wolf down and pins it in the freezing mud, shoulders braced, teeth bared. The beast’s resistance breaks under the pressure, and the pack recoils another step into the reeds.

The fight leaves a shallow silence behind it, broken only by ragged breath and the crackle of frost across the mud. Kamakulzar stands at the center of the pull, with the marsh’s next predator still coming into focus somewhere beyond the reedline.

Then speak plain, roamer. The marsh hears liars badly, but it hears names well.

Zhurrem

Zhurrem

I am Zhurrem. I am not here for the pack, I am here to end this hunt before it draws more teeth.

The wolf pack stays low in the reeds, but their frightened yips die away. Frost creeps farther over the mud, making the whole bank shine under the moon.

Zhurrem

Zhurrem

You do not smell like elves. Good. I was not in the mood to argue with another one of their tricks.

The cold is spreading fast across the marsh.

The old presence out here wakes when blood is spilled, and it has been listening to you. If you mean only to roam, then keep your feet steady and your voice honest.
