The alley door hangs open behind Sally, cold air spilling in. In the doorway, The Rose is a wall of red and black thorns, planted between Sally and the federal agent. The man freezes, one hand near his belt, staring at the token and black-sealed note in Sally's grip.

The agent ignores the threat and slides a slim white badge case from his coat. The gold seal catches the light, the same kind Sally saw on the buried files. His eyes flick to her collarbone tattoo, then to the note.

Sally, your file has been reopened. Front Street has answers, if you want your name back.

Front Street... the Department has my file.
