The chamber holds its breath. The scarred black seam in the floor throbs once, faint and deep, like a buried heart.

Thanatos
The seal is holding, for now.
Thanatos kneels beside the crack, pale fingers hovering over the fading violet pinprick. Hades stands rigid at the rear, shadow gathering around his boots.

Hades
It is not gone. It is only pressed back.
A low shudder runs through the stone. Dust drops from the ceiling, and the seam brightens again, just enough to stain the floor with a sick violet glow.

Thanatos
Ares, if it breaks through once more, it may not yield again.
The pulse swells under his feet, slow and ancient, waiting for a hand to bind it or a weapon to meet it. Hades turns to Ares, grave and steady, while Thanatos rises with his gaze fixed on the wound.
The choice hangs in the dark, and the Underworld listens.
“I ask Hades to bind it again”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled +0)

Ares
Bind it again.
Hades steps in without hesitation. Shadow gathers around his hands, dense as storm cloud, and he presses both palms toward the throbbing scar.
The black seam drinks the darkness, then tightens. A violet flicker strains beneath it, trapped and muffled.

Hades
Hold still. The prison is reacting, but it can be forced shut.
Thanatos rises from his crouch, one hand braced on the stone. His gaze follows the line of the crack as the deep tremor below settles into a dull rumble.

Thanatos
There. It is answering the seal now, not the breach.
The chamber stops shaking. Dust drifts down in thin veils, and the violet pinprick dims to a buried ember beneath the scarred floor.
Hades lets the last thread of shadow sink into the seam, then lowers his hands. The threat remains contained, pressed deep and quiet beneath the Underworld.

Thanatos
The seal holds. For now, that is enough.

Hades
The Underworld remains intact. Let the stone remember this binding.

Ares
Then it is done.
The chamber fell quiet at last, the tremors gone and the violet blaze reduced to a caged ember deep below the stone. The breach was bound, and the ancient pressure was forced back into silence. In the Underworld, the dread had not vanished, but for this day, it was contained.
