Ford Field thunders under bright indoor lights, a sea of Lions blue and silver. The crowd surges with every snap, and the noise rolls through the stadium like weather.
Thadeus Jovanović sits with Marla Brewer and Elizabeth Bathory among the lower bowl seats, close enough to see the sideline huddle and the sweat on the players' helmets. Marla keeps checking her phone between plays, grinning like she can hardly believe the night is real.
Marla Brewer
I told you this was worth it. Best seats I have ever bought.
Elizabeth leans forward, composed but alert, following the game with a careful, almost tactical focus. Thadeus catches the edge of the field, the crowd's rising roar, and the sudden vibration of a phone in the row behind them.
The Stranger
Excuse me. Are you Thadeus Jovanović?
A man in a gray security jacket stands in the aisle, one hand half-raised in apology, the other holding an envelope. His eyes keep flicking to the envelope, then to Thadeus, like he wants this over before anyone notices.
The Stranger
Someone at the club wants you to have this. They said it was urgent.
The game roars on behind him, but the envelope looks suddenly louder than the stadium.

“Before Thadeus can react, Elizabeth leans over, snatching the envelope from the security guard. "I'll take that, thank you" she says as she looks back over to Thadeus and smirks. Thadeus warmly smiles back, waiting for her to read the envelope's contents.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled -1)
Elizabeth takes the envelope with a smooth, practiced motion, and the aisle tension slips into something lighter.
Elizabeth Bathory
I'll take that, thank you.
She turns the envelope in her hands, then glances back at Thadeus with a small, knowing smirk.
Thadeus answers with a warm smile, shoulders loosening as he lets her read first.
Marla Brewer
Okay, that was kind of intimidating. Also kind of awesome.
Elizabeth Bathory
If it is urgent, I want to know who thinks they can speak to him like this.
The crowd erupts at a play on the field, but in their row the moment narrows to the envelope, Elizabeth's careful eyes, and Thadeus waiting for whatever name is inside.
