Slaan crests the dune first, and the view drops open. Below, the second outpost sits ringed by armored zealots, their white sigil bright against the dark stone. Search lines sweep the sand. They are not guarding the place, they are hunting for the records.

Bram
Too many. They already know we are near.

Kaelith
The path is blocked. If they find us with those papers, we lose more than the trail.
A pair of zealots break from the wall and move toward a shallow cut in the dunes, close enough to reach the dead drop route. One carries a hooked lantern, the other a sealed satchel.
Bram shifts low beside Slaan, pointing to the satchel. If it holds the records, the handoff is already in motion. If not, the network has another relay waiting.
Kaelith lowers into a fighting crouch, eyes fixed on the nearest search line. The outpost, the dunes, and the moving satchel all form one narrow chance. Slaan has to strike the messenger before the records vanish deeper into the Chapel's net.

Stop the zealot messenger from carrying off the records
“"to bad we don't have a mountain to drop on them... that worked once" I pause " well kinda"”
SUCCESS (Great Reasoning, rolled -1)

Slaan studies the slope, then the line of zealots below. The dune face is loose, undercut by wind, and the outpost wall throws a hard shadow across a shallow seam of sand.

Slaan
Too bad we do not have a mountain to drop on them... that worked once. Well, kind of.
Her gaze catches on the cut sand beside the outpost. The seam is thinner there, held together by a crust only the first shove would break.

Slaan
The wind has already done most of the work.
Bram leans in, following her look, and his hand tightens at his side. Kaelith shifts his weight toward the dune lip, ready to move when the ground gives.

Bram
If that crust breaks, it does not bury the whole outpost. It does blind the search line.
Slaan marks the loose shelf with a small flick of shadow, gauging the fall. It will not crush the zealots, but it can split their patrol and steal the messenger's clear path.

Kaelith
Then we use it. Give me the signal, and I will take the nearest line off balance.
