Several seasons have passed. At the royal tournament grounds, banners of ancient Arcane schools ripple above a rune-marked arena while Almira’s students gather with their Professors, prepared beneath the kingdom’s watching eyes.
Seren checks the Academy’s charter-bound records, the ember-robed woman, the blue-robed man, and the scarf-wrapped elf woman stand together in their teaching colors, and the small farmhand studies the arena runes with careful attention. The promised prize could secure their school’s future.
A young adult man, a lean human with a narrow, sun-browned face and a small scar through one eyebrow in crimson-and-gold heraldic robes climbs the stone platform. His dark hair is neatly bound, and a silver bell hangs at his belt beside the royal seal.

The Tournament Herald
I am Cassian Merrow, herald of the Crown. The opening trials begin at sunset, and the first challenge will test whether each school’s principles endure under competitive pressure.
A murmur passes among the gathered schools. Some competitors glance toward the Academy’s open-hand emblem, while its students straighten, visibly aware that victory would purchase recognition, resources, and a place in history.

Marra Fen
If winning asks us to abandon what we teach, then the test has already begun.

Seren Arcal
The arena will measure more than skill. Almira, the students are ready to learn what they will protect when victory itself becomes the pressure.
The sunset bells remain silent for now, but the central runes begin to glow beneath the banners. Every nearby gaze turns toward Almira and the Academy’s assembled delegation.

Secure recognition and support for the Academy through the tournament
“I speak seductivly to invite courage and determination from my students, as well as discourage foul play in any opponents listening. Telling the students that though I and the professors can't compete, we have guided and nurtured their own strengths and that they have far greater potential than even we could have considered. Marra for example has quickly mastered unity over the three Paths. And many of them have Mastered at least two, they are the best and brightest”
SUCCESS (Legendary Seduction, rolled +0)

Almira
Students, be courageous. The Professors and I cannot compete beside you, but we have guided and nurtured strengths greater than even we imagined. Marra has mastered unity across three Paths, and many of you command at least two. You are the best and brightest of the Academy. Let determination be your answer, and let every rival hear this: victory earned through foul play is no victory at all.
Almira’s seductive cadence travels across the rune-marked arena, wrapping praise around a firm warning. The Academy’s students lift their heads, while rival competitors hear that their conduct will be judged alongside their skill.

Marra Fen
Then I will stand with every Path, not above them. We will win by showing what we have learned, not by diminishing anyone else.

Seren Arcal
The students understand. Their preparation is theirs now, Almira, and the arena will see what willing guidance has made possible.
Across the boundary, several rival students lower concealed charms and exchange uneasy looks. The Academy’s delegation answers with quiet resolve, its members gathering around one another without needing instruction.

The Tournament Herald
Let the record show that the Academy of Shared Becoming enters under a vow of honest contest. May every school prove its excellence without betrayal of its principles.
The central runes blaze beneath the banners. When the sunset bell finally rings, Almira’s students step toward the opening trials with courage sharpened by trust, while the rival schools hold to fair play beneath the Crown’s watching eyes.
“I watch carefully as my students enter the first round of the competition, not judging or expecting, watching to determine where they can learn more and to see if any foul tricks are attempted”
SUCCESS (Legendary Perception, rolled +0)

Almira watches without judging as the Academy’s students enter the rune-marked arena. Their attention follows each stance, hesitation, and adjustment while the opening patterns awaken beneath their feet.
Marra steadies three colored currents at once, allowing fire, water, and wind to answer one another. Two other students adapt more slowly, revealing precisely where patient instruction could strengthen their cooperation.

Almira
The strongest lesson is where a willing Path loses confidence when another Path changes beside it.
Across the arena, a rival student kneels as though correcting a harmless mark, but their fingers turn one boundary rune against an Academy entrant. Almira catches the alteration before its effect can spread.
The tampered line would have made the student’s spell appear unstable and forced a needless failure. Almira’s observation exposes the foul trick to the Crown’s watching officials without disturbing the trial.

Marra Fen
Keep your Path willing. If the pattern shifts, listen before you answer it.

Seren Arcal
You found the interference cleanly. The students can finish honestly, and we know exactly which lesson the first round has offered us.
