Oskar carries Elion through the Haven gate, the young orc’s arms straining beneath his unconscious weight. Saadia, Lydia, and the unfamiliar vampire follow barely conscious, supported between exhausted companions.

Zeiran

Zeiran

Lord Amar’s shelter is ready. Prilius, take the healing room. Clear the eastern quarters for the others.

Prilius

Prilius

Carefully, Oskar. Lay Elion down first. His breathing is shallow, and his shoulder needs treatment before we move him again.

Prilius and Zeiran organize beds, water, and restorative preparations. One by one, Elion, Saadia, Lydia, the unfamiliar vampire, and Oskar fall unconscious beneath the Haven’s guarded roof.

Aelrith

Aelrith

Haldvar remains free. His forces held the Dominium, and we escaped only because Varanni slowed the battlefield and Ra’zzir carried the wounded out.

Varanni

Varanni

The seals are failing faster than before. We need time to recover, but preparation cannot wait forever.

The unfamiliar elven archer, Varanni, and Ra’zzir remain awake despite their injuries, watching the entrances while Prilius works. Beyond the Haven, the failing seals give a faint, irregular pulse.

Elion Draemnor's turn

“As they’re Talking, Kael enters the room alongside Lioran, to see what was the result of the battle. He looks at Elion but doesn’t say anything. Lioran goes and help prilius to heal the woundeds. Kael turns and tells Aelrith, Varanni and Ra’zzir to follow him, they will need to update the Heroes and he needs someone who can give the clearest details possible. And so, Kael arranges a meeting with the Heroes.”

The Haven doors open, and Kael Aurelius Harvnford enters beside Lioran. Kael’s eyes settle on Elion’s unconscious form, but he offers no comment before turning toward the healers.

Lioran

Lioran

I will help Prilius. Elion, Saadia, Lydia, and Oskar need every careful measure we can give them.

Lioran joins Prilius in the healing room, carrying water and supplies while restorative fire gathers around the wounded. Kael studies the House Lyn Field Journal, its recorded routes and battle details giving his report a precise foundation.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford

Aelrith, Varanni, Ra’zzir, come with me. The Heroes must hear what happened, and I need the clearest account possible.

Kael’s persuasion carries the urgency without inflaming the Haven. Arcane Counsel’s disciplined framing, reinforced by the journal’s evidence, turns scattered battlefield details into a credible account the Heroes can act upon.

Aelrith

Aelrith

I will give them the positions, the enemy’s movements, and the moment our withdrawal became necessary.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford

Then it is settled. The Heroes will meet us in council, and they will receive the truth of the battle before deciding how to answer Haldvar.

Kael opens the House Lyn Field Journal and lays its battle records across the Haven’s council table. The entries give his summons precise names, positions, and evidence rather than rumor.

Divine Blessing steadies Kael’s authority as he sends the call through the Haven’s warded bell. Its clear tone carries beyond the shelter, inviting the legendary Heroes to council without disguising the danger.

Aelrith

Aelrith

The summons has reached them. I will remain outside the council chamber and watch the approaches.

The Haven doors open in succession. Thjorn, Rygar, Kaelen, Velyne, Hrodin, and Maela enter, each turning toward the journal and the wounded company before taking places around the table.

Thjorn

Thjorn

You called, Spear-Saint. We are here. Tell us what Haldvar’s forces did, and what answer you require from us.

The Heroes settle into council, their attention fixed on Kael. The journal lies open before them, and the Haven’s healers continue working nearby as the report on Haldvar’s assault begins.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“I call Aelrith back, with Varanni and Ra’zzir and i ask them to explain what happened at the High Dominium to the Heroes”

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

Aelrith, come back inside with Varanni and Ra’zzir. Tell the Heroes exactly what happened at the High Dominium.

Aelrith returns from the Haven entrance with Varanni and Ra’zzir. Kael keeps the House Lyn Field Journal open before the Heroes, its entries ready to anchor every detail in evidence.

Divine Blessing lends Kael’s summons a calm authority that gathers the room rather than inflaming it. The Heroes turn fully toward the witnesses, prepared to hear the report.

Aelrith

Aelrith

We entered the High Dominium under disguise, then Elion struck Peligros Leiner. The fortress erupted when Leiner summoned Haldvar and his forces.

Varanni

Varanni

The Guardians overwhelmed the interior. I slowed the battlefield with time magic so Ra’zzir could extract the wounded, but the seals began failing almost immediately.

Ra’zzir

Ra’zzir

I carried Elion out first, then returned for Saadia, Lydia, Serana, and Oskar. Aelrith covered the route while Varanni held the enemy back.

Thjorn

The journal confirms their account. Haldvar now holds a fortified command, and the Haven has become his enemy. We will decide our answer from this truth.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

Heroes, we need to declare war on Haldvar’s forces before they declare it against us. We cannot stand by and wait. That is absurd.

Kael lays the House Lyn Field Journal open and turns its battle records toward the council: Haldvar’s command, the occupied Dominium, the failed seals, and the wounded carried home. Divine Blessing steadies his voice and makes the evidence feel like a solemn charge rather than a personal demand.

Thjorn

Thjorn

You have given us enough. Haldvar has already chosen war through occupation, assault, and pursuit. We will answer him openly.

Rygar

Rygar

Then let the declaration name the Haven’s purpose clearly: we fight Haldvar’s forces, not every frightened nation caught beneath them. Kael, your testimony will stand as its foundation.

The Heroes confer over the journal. Kaelen, Velyne, Hrodin, and Maela give their assent, while Rygar’s condition binds Kael’s credibility to every claim recorded here. His standing rises as the war’s witness, but any falsehood will become his burden.

Thjorn

Thjorn

By the authority entrusted to this council, we declare war on Haldvar’s forces. The Heroes will mobilize, defend the Haven, and strike his command before it can widen this conflict.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“Do you not understand what is going on? It is not a war against Haldvar, but against a Coallition of bandits and something or some things that are probably even bigger. We cannot afford to hold back, because they won’t hold back against us. They’re basically reigning over Eryn right now. They possess a phenomenal amount of wealth in their hands and abundant ressources. We need to hide from them for at least a year, train, gather ressources and more men and women to fight, and then, let’s declare a war against them. But we cannot let them do as they want.”

Do you not understand? This is not a war against Haldvar alone. It is against a coalition of bandits, and forces perhaps even greater behind them. They already command Eryn’s wealth and resources. We must hide, train, gather people and supplies for a year, then declare war. But we cannot let them act unchecked.

Kael opens the House Lyn Field Journal and turns its records toward the council: occupied fortresses, coordinated routes, immense payments, and forces strong enough to overwhelm the High Dominium. Divine Blessing steadies his authority as the evidence gives his warning undeniable shape.

Thjorn

Thjorn

You are correct. A direct attack now would spend our strength against an enemy richer, larger, and better prepared. We will conceal the Haven, train its defenders, and prepare for the year ahead.

Rygar

Rygar

Then the declaration of war waits until we possess the strength to make it meaningful. Until then, we deny them targets, gather allies, and cut their access to supplies wherever we safely can.

The council studies the journal again. Kaelen, Velyne, Hrodin, and Maela exchange grave looks before each gives assent, accepting concealment and preparation rather than an immediate assault.

Thjorn

Thjorn

It is decided. The Heroes will protect the Haven in secrecy for one year, train its people, recruit those willing to stand, and gather the resources required. After that, we declare war on the coalition.

Rygar

Rygar

We will not stand by while they rule unchecked. We will observe, obstruct, and protect the vulnerable without exposing our refuge. When the year ends, they will face a prepared alliance instead of scattered survivors.

The council seals the strategy. The Haven’s bells remain silent, its gates guarded, and its training grounds become the heart of a hidden mobilization while Haldvar’s coalition believes its enemies are still broken.

Director's notewhole tale

The legendary bandits ruling Eryn, The people of the Haven or allies of the Haven are considered fugitives and criminals that must be executed and due to their great power, many kingdoms submitted themselves to the bandits

Director's note

The people of Bedraj are humanoid hybrids, hated by a lot because of their animalistic traits and ressemblance to the beast

Director's note

The People of Bedraj are mostly very hostile due to years of Oppression

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“Perfect. But first, is there currently a kingdom willing to stand by our side? Kaelen thinks for a second and say that the Elves would be willing to stand against Haldvar. Kaelen being an Elf, he saw his people being oppressed but couldn’t do anything because of lack of man power. As powerful as he is, the legendary bandits are each as powerful, so he needs more men. Kaelen explains that he thinks he can make Elrek and ally to the Haven. Then Thjorn adds that the people of the nation of Bedraj may want to help.. Then Velyne adds that the Fairies might be of help”

SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled +1)

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

Is there currently a kingdom willing to stand beside the Haven?

Kael opens the House Lyn Field Journal, placing its records of occupation, payments, and displaced peoples before the council. Divine Blessing lends his question calm authority, turning concern into a request the Heroes can answer honestly.

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Elrek will stand with the Haven. I watched my people suffer under oppression while lacking the manpower to intervene. The legendary bandits each rival my strength, so I need more soldiers. I believe I can make Elrek our ally.

Thjorn

Thjorn

Bedraj may help as well. Its people have endured hatred and oppression for generations. They are hostile for good reason, but a cause offering protection instead of another chain may reach them.

Velyne

Velyne

The Fairies may be willing to help. They are difficult to approach, but they understand ancient powers and hidden dangers. If we prove the Haven protects the vulnerable, they may answer our call.

Kael records the three possibilities beneath the journal’s existing evidence. The council’s uncertainty becomes a practical alliance plan: secure Elrek, reach Bedraj through its oppressed people, and seek the Fairies before the coalition can close every path.

Thjorn

Thjorn

Then we have allies willing to listen. We will prepare envoys for Elrek, Bedraj, and the Fairies while the Haven trains and remains concealed. The coalition will not face us alone when the year ends.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“Excellent, but for the Fairies, we’ll have to be careful. The mother of the Fairies, the martriarch Merethia, has Celestial Mana. Her power is beyond rare. She can give or take powers. Though she does not acquire the power, she still strips the person of their powers. When she gives powers, i heard she does not decide what powers to give, but instead her own power has a sort of will of its own. It chooses which power to give based on what would represent the individual best. If Haldvar or any of the bandits got their hands on that, how much more would they become dangerous? The fairies are all born with a power called The Force. Basically it is like an invisible man’s power with which they can push foes, grab them, pull them towards them, create mana fields and many more. Fairies are not to be delt with, but they don’t really intervene in human/mortsl affairs due to past betrayal when they desired to help us millenias ago. It is worth the try, but we can’t expect much.”

SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled +0)

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

The Fairies may help, but we must be careful. Their matriarch Merethia commands Celestial Mana that can strip powers or grant abilities chosen by its own will. If Haldvar or another bandit gained that influence, they could become far more dangerous. The Fairies’ Force is formidable, yet their ancient betrayal makes them unlikely allies. We should try, but expect little.

Kael records the risks in the House Lyn Field Journal, separating what is known from what is feared. Divine Blessing lends his warning a clear authority, and the council hears caution rather than panic.

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Then we must approach Merethia as a people asking forgiveness, not as rulers demanding aid. I will send an Elven envoy who knows how to speak of our ancient betrayal without concealing it.

Thjorn

Thjorn

Your warning changes the plan. We will not bring weapons, demands, or promises the Haven cannot keep. We seek only honest contact, and we prepare for refusal.

Velyne

Velyne

If Merethia can give or remove powers, the coalition must never learn the route to her people. I will help conceal the envoys and watch for anyone seeking to follow them.

The council adds a guarded Fairy mission to the alliance plan. Elrek, Bedraj, and the Fairies will each receive a different approach, while the Haven keeps Merethia’s path hidden from the coalition.

Thjorn

Thjorn

It is decided. We will seek the Fairies carefully, accept that they may reject us, and ensure no bandit learns what their power could offer.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“If we can get the fairies to back us up, it would greatly enhance our chances of winning. Even though they’re even smaller than Leprechauns and dwarves, they’re very skilled. Even though Merethia is not a fighter, her knowledge could greatly help us. The number of Fairies is not very high. The last time their people had been counted, around 50 years ago, it is said they had a population of only 7000 individuals. They’re our number one priority. Don’t let them fool you. I’ve seen their land from afar once: Pink shining grass with golden winds and white trees, their land looks surreal and so do they. They look very attractive, each and every single one of them. They wear luxurious yet simple attire. They all have one white pupil and the other is a random colour, and White shining hair. But again, do not let their looks disappoint you, they’re our number one priority. Next, the elves and then the people of Beraj.”

SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled -1)

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

The Fairies are our number one priority. Their skill, Merethia’s knowledge, and their hidden strength could change our chances, despite their small numbers. We must approach them carefully and never let their beauty or hospitality make us careless. After them, we seek the elves, then Bedraj.

Kael opens the House Lyn Field Journal and records the Fairy population, their surreal white-tree homeland, and the risks surrounding Merethia’s Celestial Mana. Divine Blessing steadies his authority, while the journal gives his warning a firm foundation.

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Agreed. Elrek can wait. If the Fairies possess knowledge capable of changing the balance of power, we must secure honest contact before the coalition reaches them.

Velyne

Velyne

Their beauty will be part of their defense, whether they intend it or not. We will send people disciplined enough to listen without becoming enchanted by appearances or promises.

Thjorn

Thjorn

Then the order changes. The Fairies come first, with Elrek and Bedraj following. We will prepare an envoy chosen for patience, honesty, and the strength to refuse any dangerous bargain.

Kaelen, Velyne, and the other Heroes assent. The council marks the Fairy mission as its primary diplomatic objective, sealing Kael’s warning into the Haven’s war preparations.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“Yes but at the same time, send an envoy to Beraj and Elrek, we cannot wait, we do not have that luxury.”

Kael turns the House Lyn Field Journal toward the council, showing the occupied Dominium, displaced peoples, and coalition routes. Divine Blessing steadies his command, giving urgency the shape of disciplined leadership.

Thjorn

Thjorn

Agreed. The Fairy mission will proceed, while envoys depart immediately for Elrek and Bedraj. We will not sacrifice one alliance to pursue another.

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

Kaelen, The Grand Minister

I will prepare Elrek’s approach and name the Haven’s need plainly. But this places my standing behind the mission, and failure will weaken my authority at home.

Hrodin

Hrodin

Bedraj will not welcome polished promises. I will send someone who speaks of protection without hiding that our fugitives need their help.

The council records all three missions as simultaneous priorities. Kael’s demand succeeds, but the commitment makes the Haven’s diplomatic credibility dependent on honest envoys and results.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford's turn

“Then it is settled. Now we must think about how could we create such an opportunity for the Haven to hide for a whole year? The bandits won’t wait for us!”

SUCCESS (Fair Reasoning, rolled +2)

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

Then it is settled. Now we must think about how we could create an opportunity for the Haven to hide for a whole year. The bandits will not wait for us.

Kael spreads the House Lyn Field Journal across the council table. Its route marks, payment records, and notes on occupied strongholds become a practical map of what the coalition can observe, supply, and pursue.

Divine Blessing steadies Kael’s concentration as he compares roads, refugee movements, and the Haven’s known approaches. A coherent design emerges: conceal the true refuge, create false trails, and move supplies through several unrelated channels.

Elion Draemnor

Elion Draemnor

We should divide the Haven’s visible activity. Establish decoy camps and rotating shelters, send supplies through Elrek and Bedraj separately, and let no envoy know the refuge’s full location.

Thjorn

Thjorn

That can hide the Haven for a year if the decoys look useful enough to attack. We will train small watch teams, change routes regularly, and keep the true population concealed.

Rygar

Rygar

We should also spread controlled rumors of separate fugitive settlements. The coalition will waste strength hunting fragments while our people relocate under ordinary merchant and pilgrim movements.

Kael records the plan in the journal: false camps, rotating routes, compartmentalized envoys, hidden stores, and strict silence about the Haven’s heart. The council accepts the full-year concealment strategy and begins assigning each measure.
