Gold-white light folds open beside the Heartgarden’s ancient growths. Elion steps through still gripping the reinforced scroll container, and the fading sigil closes behind him.

Kheros
Eliq. You came. Good. There is little time to waste, but no danger is upon us yet. Come, sit with me.
Kheros, the broad-shouldered warrior in his long black robe, moves quickly through the luminous garden. Silver-gold light burns faintly in his eyes as he guides Elion toward a quiet stone beneath ancient roots.

Kheros
I have sensed disturbances beneath the old seals. The Forgotten Dragon Kings I defeated long ago are not resting as they should.
Once Elion is seated, Kheros lowers himself opposite him. Leaves stir overhead without wind, and distant mana pulses through the garden’s roots like a slow, troubled heartbeat.

Kheros
Their slumber is slowly failing. I cannot yet tell whether they are waking by nature, by outside interference, or because something has disturbed the balance of the world.

Kheros
Tell me what you have learned since we parted, Eliq. Your answer may show us which king stirs first.
Kheros waits in grave silence, leaving the garden’s ancient growths and the failing seals behind him as an unanswered question.

Elion Draemnor's turn“Hero Kheros, before i answer, you have a horn... what is going on? Kheros answers that this is the second transformation of the draconic heritage. They will be training Intensely so Elion will need to go all out because Kheros doesn't plan to hold back his punches. Elion nods and after receiving his answer, he starts explain to Kheros that the first transformation occured against an Entity. Kheros is shocked but stays silent. Elion continues and says that he fought the entity uncouscious and it was his mentor on Eryn who fought with him against the entity and explained Elion was uncounscious and had glowing gold eyes. Kheros nodded. Elion continues and says that he can now sometimes activate it even though it's for a short period of time, and now he starts to understand his draconic instinct and he has discovered his draconic power: the sun. Kheros eyes widen. Kheros answers: That is interesting, but excellent... thank you.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled +1)

Elion Draemnor
Kheros, before I answer, you have a horn. What is going on?

Kheros
This is the second transformation of your draconic heritage. We will train intensely. You must go all out, because I do not plan to hold back my punches.
Elion nods, receiving the answer without hesitation. Kheros rises from the stone and watches him with grave focus, ready to test what the awakening has made possible.

Elion Draemnor
The first transformation happened against an Entity. I fought while unconscious. My mentor on Eryn fought beside me and later explained that my eyes were glowing gold.
Kheros’s eyes widen at the mention of an Entity, but he remains silent, allowing Elion to finish. His attention sharpens without interrupting the account.

Elion Draemnor
I can sometimes activate it now, though only briefly. I am beginning to understand my draconic instinct, and I have discovered my draconic power: the sun.

Kheros
That is interesting, but excellent. Thank you. Your awakening and Sun power give us something important to study. Now prepare yourself.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros speaks up and explains to Elion that they will now be training. They will be sparing endlessely until Elion has a breakthrough. Elion prepares himself. Kheros then says something horrifying: In this training, if you do not brace yourself, you will die. Elion is shocked but before can react, Kheros grabs his head. Elion feels a strenght that is so horrifyingly powerful, it feels like his head is gonna explode. Kheros then throws him on the battle ring of the heartgarden. Then, from the same position he threw Elion, his voice rumbles, causing a mini earthquake, he says: give it your all, Haal'vur. blood is coming out of my mouth from the dizinness”
FAILURE (Great Health, rolled -3)

Kheros
We will spar endlessly until you achieve a breakthrough. Prepare yourself, Eliq. I will not soften what must be learned.
Elion plants his feet in the Heartgarden’s battle ring and steadies his breathing. He braces every muscle, preparing to meet Kheros without retreating from the coming trial.

Kheros
If you do not brace yourself properly, you will die.
Before Elion can react, Kheros seizes his head. A crushing force floods through him, so immense that his skull feels ready to split. His attempted bracing collapses under the pressure.
Kheros throws Elion across the garden. He strikes the battle ring and rolls to a stop, dizzy and gasping, with blood slipping from the corner of his mouth.

Kheros
Give it your all, Haal’vur.
Kheros’s voice rumbles from the far edge of the ring, shaking the stones with a miniature quake. Elion’s vision swims, but the failed brace has changed the lesson: ordinary resistance cannot withstand Kheros’s pressure.
Elion Draemnor's turn“I use the Hourglass to evade his next strike”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled -1)

Elion snaps the Hourglass of the Narrow Escape into motion. The miniature grains flare, recording his exact position as Kheros surges across the battle ring.
Kheros’s fist drives toward Elion with overwhelming force. At the final instant, Elion triggers the hourglass and vanishes from the strike’s path, reappearing at the recorded position behind the attack.

Kheros
Good. You used the opening instead of trying to endure what would break you.
The bronze wristpiece falls still. Elion remains upright and unstruck, his breath sharp but controlled as the hourglass’s ten-second window closes.

Kheros
The relic preserved your position, but your judgment made the escape useful. Do not mistake one successful evasion for mastery.
Kheros pivots to face him again, silver-gold light burning in his eyes. The lesson continues, but Elion has answered the immediate strike on his own terms.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros speaks up, his voice rumbling even harder than before: Transform into your first transformation Haal'vur! as he says this, he dashes towards me. He throws a punch and as i try to use the Hourglass again, He punches me so hard in the jaw, im sent back, spinning in the air and as im spinning in the air, i dont understand nothing. Kheros dashes in the air and strikes me back on the ground, smashing the ground and creating a crater. Im vomitting blood, everything hurts, i don't understand nothing. Then the next second, he's infront of me and kicks me in the face so hard. I feel like im gonna die. Kheros speaks: Haal'vur, are you worthy? the whole realm rumbles under his voice. He stands before me, looking down on my almost lifeless body”
FAILURE (Great Health, rolled -2)

Kheros
Transform into your first transformation, Haal’vur!
Kheros crosses the ring in a blur. Elion reaches for the Hourglass, but the punch lands first, hurling him through the air. His attempt to transform collapses into disorientation before he can find the power.
Kheros follows him upward and drives him into the earth. The impact leaves a deep crater and robs Elion of breath; pain overwhelms his senses, and the hourglass hangs uselessly at his wrist.

Elion Draemnor
I cannot understand what is happening. My body will not answer.
Before Elion can rise, Kheros’s kick snaps his head aside and leaves him sprawled at the crater’s center. The assault stops short of killing him, but his strength is nearly gone.

Kheros
Haal’vur, are you worthy?
The question rumbles through the Heartgarden, shaking roots and stone. Kheros stands over Elion, while the failed transformation and spent escape relic leave him unable to repeat the same defense. The trial has become a test of survival, not evasion.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros speaks up again, now his voice echoing: You need to feel like your draconic mana is taking over. That fiery feeling inside of you, That's what it is, focus. As im passing out, i focus and relax my body. I let my energy flow, searching for that feeling. Then i find it. I drive it all around my body, and then, i feel a new strenght taking over. Kheros dashes back, and smiles. I rise and look back at Kheros. Elion's pupils are now glowing gold with a faint golden aura following him. Kheros's voice echo and he says: You've done it, Eliq. Now, Come at me!”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled -1)

Kheros
You need to feel your draconic mana taking over. That fiery feeling inside you is the awakening. Focus on it.
As consciousness slips, Elion relaxes instead of resisting. He searches inward through the pain until he finds the fiery current, then guides it through every part of his body.
The current answers. New strength spreads through Elion’s limbs, and the crushing weakness recedes enough for him to rise from the crater. Gold ignites within his pupils, followed by a faint golden aura.
Kheros dashes backward across the battle ring and smiles. Elion steadies himself, his breath harsh but controlled, then turns fully toward the warrior who has forced the awakening from him.

Kheros
You have done it, Eliq. Now, come at me!
Elion launches across the ring. Gold and silver light trail his movement as he closes the distance, Kharul’vok ready, and meets Kheros in a thunderous clash of strength and awakened draconic power.
Elion Draemnor's turn“I attempt to swing at Kheros with my blade”
SUCCESS (Great Melee Combat, rolled -2)

Elion drives forward through the clash, gold light tightening around his limbs. Kharul’vok cuts across Kheros’s guard and lands against his shoulder with a ringing impact.
The successful strike twists Elion’s body hard. Pain bites through his sword arm, and his footing slips across the stone as the force of the blow strains his shoulder.

Kheros
Good, Eliq. You made me receive the blade instead of merely avoiding it.
Kheros pivots with the impact, boots carving shallow lines into the battle ring. His robe shifts around the struck shoulder, but he remains upright and focused.

Kheros
Do not celebrate the contact. Your shoulder paid for that angle, and the next exchange will punish any weakness you leave exposed.
Elion’s sword arm trembles from the strain, yet Kharul’vok remains firmly in his grasp. Across the ring, Kheros raises his guard and advances again.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros spins and kicks me, I merely block it with my blade but im sent flying. Then, he speaks up, his voice echoing in the realm: VOR THAAL! He spits a massive fire wave at Elion, so big, Elion in the sky needs to dodge”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled -1)

Kheros spins and drives a powerful kick toward Elion. Elion catches it with Kharul’vok, but the impact launches him across the battle ring and into open air.
His sword arm trembles from the force, shoulder straining as he tumbles skyward. Below, Kheros lands lightly and turns beneath him, already gathering a fierce inner blaze.

Kheros
VOR THAAL!
A massive wave of fire erupts from Kheros and surges upward, filling the space around Elion with roaring heat and blinding orange light.
Elion twists in midair, drawing his knees close and angling Kharul’vok alongside his body. He slips over the fire wave’s crest as it thunders past beneath him.
The flames pass harmlessly below. Elion clears the attack and remains airborne, gold aura flickering around him as he turns toward Kheros and prepares to descend.
Elion Draemnor's turn“as he's about to descend, Kheros dashes in the air in order to grab Elion's head. Elion's draconic instinct activate to dodge automatically for him”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +1)

As Elion begins to descend, Kheros launches upward after him, reaching for his head with one powerful hand. The air tightens around the sudden pursuit.
Elion’s draconic instinct ignites before conscious thought can intervene. Gold flashes through his eyes, and his body folds sharply aside, turning with the current of his descent.
Kheros’s fingers close on empty air where Elion’s head had been. Elion slips past his grasp cleanly, his aura streaming behind him as he clears the reach.

Kheros
Good. Your instinct moved before fear could freeze you. That is the beginning of true awakening.
Elion completes the evasive turn and descends beyond Kheros’s grasp, landing on the battle ring with his feet beneath him and Kharul’vok held ready.

Kheros
Do not rely on instinct alone, Eliq. Learn why it chose that movement, then make the choice yours.
Kheros drops lightly across the ring and turns to face him. The firelight fades from the air, leaving the next exchange open beneath the Heartgarden’s ancient roots.
Elion Draemnor's turn“I study Kheros’s movement and counter deliberately”
SUCCESS (Great Melee Combat, rolled -1)

Elion watches Kheros’s shoulders, hips, and feet instead of following the feints of his hands. The warrior’s weight settles before each advance, revealing the direction a heartbeat early.
Kheros lunges with a direct punch, then pivots sharply to turn the strike into a sweeping backhand. Elion recognizes the change and waits rather than reacting to the first motion.
When the backhand comes, Elion steps inside its arc and catches Kheros’s forearm with Kharul’vok’s flat. His strained sword arm trembles under the impact, but the parry holds.
Elion turns with the force instead of opposing it, redirects Kheros past his center, and brings the blade’s guarded edge to the warrior’s ribs before stopping cleanly.

Kheros
That was deliberate. You read the movement, accepted the force, and chose the counter instead of letting instinct choose for you.
Kheros lowers his arm and steps back, acknowledging the stopped blade. Elion withdraws Kharul’vok and resets his stance, the lesson now anchored in observation as well as instinct.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros smiles. You see, he says, you've kept the transformation up until now, great job. i smile, exhausted. i ask: were you going easy on me? Kheros smiles and says: Of course. i fall on my back by the realisation on Kheros's power”
SUCCESS (Great Health, rolled +3)

Kheros
You see it now. You kept the transformation until this moment. Excellent work, Eliq.
Kheros smiles with clear approval. Gold still burns in Elion’s eyes, and his aura remains steady despite the exhaustion weighing heavily on his body.

Elion Draemnor
Were you going easy on me?

Kheros
Of course. I was testing your awakening, not giving you everything I possess.
The answer reaches Elion with startling force. His legs give way, and he falls onto his back across the battle ring, staring upward as the scale of Kheros’s power settles over him.
Kheros does not press the advantage. He lets the trial end, and the Heartgarden’s quiet mana begins restoring Elion’s breathing while his transformation remains stable.

Kheros
Rest, Eliq. You have earned a pause, and today’s awakening will not fade before you understand what you achieved.
Elion Draemnor's turn“i rest”

Elion remains on his back beneath the Heartgarden’s ancient roots. Gold still glows in his eyes, but the aura gradually softens as his breathing steadies.

Kheros
Do not force yourself upright, Eliq. Let the garden restore what the trial demanded from you.
Elion allows his muscles to loosen. The Heartgarden’s mana flows through the stone beneath him, easing his exhaustion and settling the fiery current within his body.

Kheros
Your transformation is not a weapon you switch on through desperation. It is part of you, and you must learn to rest without losing contact with it.
Time passes quietly. Elion’s pulse slows, his vision clears, and the strain in his shoulder fades as the garden gives his body room to recover.

Kheros
When you rise, we will review what you learned. For now, rest, Eliq. You have done enough.
Kheros settles nearby while Elion rests beneath the luminous branches. The battle ring grows still, and the Heartgarden holds him in safe, restorative silence.
It heals the living being or damages the undead being it affected.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros speaks up: I give you a quest for now: Sleep to recover your health. Do you accept? the quest will not be accepted unless you tell me "i accept"”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled +1)

Kheros
I give you a quest for now: sleep to recover your health. Do you accept? It will not be accepted unless you tell me, "I accept."

Elion Draemnor
I accept.
The words settle clearly in the Heartgarden. Kheros inclines his head, and the quest takes hold without demanding anything more from Elion.

Kheros
Then sleep, Eliq. Let the garden restore your health. I will remain here while you recover.
Elion lets his body rest against the stone. Mana flows gently through the Heartgarden, healing his living body and easing the exhaustion left by the trial.
His breathing deepens, and sleep arrives beneath the luminous roots. Kheros keeps watch nearby as Elion’s health steadily returns.
Elion Draemnor's turn“As Elion is resting, Kheros treats his shoulder strain”
SUCCESS (Mediocre Medicine, rolled +0)

While Elion sleeps, Kheros examines the strained shoulder and carefully tests its movement. The joint remains stable, but the surrounding muscles are tight from the trial.

Kheros
Your shoulder needs treatment, not another lesson. Stay still, Eliq, and let me work.
Kheros warms a bitter medicinal resin between his palms, then presses it into the strained muscle with precise, controlled pressure. Elion’s breathing remains deep as sleep holds him.
He guides a measured current of Heartgarden mana through the Golden Staff and into the treatment. The ache loosens, the trembling muscle settles, and the sword arm regains safe movement.

Kheros
There. The strain is treated. You can use the arm again, but do not mistake restored movement for permission to overwork it.
The resin is completely consumed, leaving no reserve for another treatment. Kheros lowers the Golden Staff beside Elion and keeps watch as the Heartgarden continues restoring his health.
It heals the living being or damages the undead being it affected.
Elion Draemnor's turn“I wake from my slumber. Then Kheros is waiting for me on the ring, now restored. he then speaks to me, his voice echoing: In this training session, you must survive for three minutes. land hits, dodge, do everything, but do not let me knock you out.”
SUCCESS (Fair Athletics, rolled +0)

Elion wakes beneath the luminous roots, restored enough to move. Kheros waits across the battle ring, upright and ready, the Golden Staff resting beyond the stones.

Kheros
In this training session, you must survive for three minutes. Land hits, dodge, do everything, but do not let me knock you out.
The trial begins. Kheros presses forward with crushing strikes, while Elion pivots, slips past each blow, and answers with controlled cuts from Kharul’vok. Gold flickers in his eyes.
For three relentless minutes, Elion survives the storm. He lands several clean strikes against Kheros’s guard, evades the killing angles, and refuses to surrender consciousness.
A final exchange sends Elion skidding across the stone. His ribs bruise beneath the impact, and his breath catches sharply, but he remains awake and on his feet.

Kheros
The three minutes are complete. You survived, landed your blows, and stayed conscious. The bruising is the price of choosing movement over surrender.
Kheros lowers his guard. Elion’s breathing remains ragged, but the battle ring belongs to his victory: he endured the full trial without being knocked out.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Now, says Kheros, you will now need to dodge my pretend attacks. as he says this, a second dragon horn grows on his forehead. I will not be holding back my speed. At first you may not see me. The end goal is not for you to see me, but to at least get a glimpse of me while im moving. I will pretend to punch you in the face and stop my fist just infront of your face. Let's do it. Use the first transformation to try and follow my speed. Kheros is so fast, Elion cannot even see him. At the end of their training, Elion fails to even get a glimpse of Kheros. Everytime, it seems like Kheros is teleporting and when he pretends that punch, a massive gust of air follows Kheros's punch because its so powerful”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +2)

Kheros
Now dodge. I will not hold back my speed. Use your first transformation and follow me. Your goal is not to see everything, only to glimpse me moving.
A second horn grows from Kheros’s forehead as his draconic power rises. He vanishes across the battle ring, leaving only displaced air and trembling roots behind.
Gold ignites in Elion’s eyes. He releases his first transformation and tracks the pressure changes, the disturbed dust, and the faint distortions between one heartbeat and the next.
Kheros seems to teleport around him, but Elion’s legendary agility catches one instant: a golden-black silhouette pivoting behind his shoulder before disappearing again.
The drill continues through a blur of impossible approaches. Elion dodges the feints by reading the air, yet each movement remains too fast to follow completely.
At last, Kheros appears directly before him and pretends to drive a fist into his face. The punch stops just short, but its massive gust whips Elion’s dreads and bends the grass behind him.

Kheros
You glimpsed me, Eliq. Not because you saw my whole movement, but because your transformation learned to read what speed leaves behind.
Kheros lowers his fist. Elion remains upright, breathing hard, with the successful glimpse fixed clearly in his memory as the lesson’s reward.
Elion Draemnor's turn“By curiosity, how do you even get two horns on your forehead, let alone one?! Kheros explains that it is by training only. one day, his draconic mana will feel so "right" by focusing he will grow a horn, then two, then claws, then the body start to change, leading to the third transformaiton wich is becoming a full dragon.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Reasoning, rolled +0)

Elion Draemnor
How do you even grow two horns on your forehead, Kheros? How does draconic transformation work?

Kheros
Training alone, Eliq. One day, your draconic mana will feel so right that focused intent will draw the first horn from your brow.
Kheros touches one of his horns, then the other, his expression calm beneath the Heartgarden’s luminous roots. The explanation carries no mystery beyond discipline and alignment.

Kheros
With further training, a second horn follows. After that come claws, and then the deeper changes begin as your body learns to accept its draconic nature.

Kheros
That path leads to the third transformation: becoming a full dragon. It cannot be forced through hunger for power. You must focus until each change feels like your own body answering you.
Kheros lowers his hand and studies Elion’s golden eyes. The lesson is clear: horns are not granted by blood alone, but shaped through patient command of the mana already awakening within him.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Then Kheros says, let me show you, he dashes back. Then closes his eyes. Then he limbs start to elongate, his skin colour becomes totally black, he grows in size and eventually becomes a full dragon with 4 legs and wings. he's massive. Kheros as a dragon is 70m tall. He has the same golden eyes. Elion falls back, terrified of what he's witnessing. this is nothing like Larkaal, Elion thinks to himself”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled +3)

Kheros
Then let me show you, Eliq.
Kheros dashes to the far edge of the Heartgarden and closes his eyes. His limbs lengthen, his frame swells, and his skin darkens until it becomes utterly black beneath the luminous roots.
His body rises higher and higher, reshaping with immense wings, four powerful legs, and a vast draconic form. At seventy meters tall, Kheros towers over the garden, golden eyes opening within the colossal black dragon’s face.
Elion falls back a step, terror surging through him at the scale before him. He catches his breath, steadies his stance, and refuses to let fear master his body.

Elion Draemnor
This is nothing like Larkaal.

Kheros
You remained standing, Eliq. Remember what you witnessed: the body changes only after the mana has already accepted the shape. That knowledge will help you call your first horn safely.
Director's notewhole tale
Everytime Kheros speaks in dragon form, His Voice rumbles heavily
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros asks Elion if he wants to try sparring while Kheros is in his dragon form.”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled -1)

Kheros
Eliq, do you wish to spar while I remain in this form? Come against the dragon, and learn whether your will can stand beneath its shadow.

Elion Draemnor
Yes. I will spar with you.
Elion raises Kharul’vok and advances beneath Kheros’s colossal wings. Terror presses against his resolve, but he keeps moving, gold light gathering in his eyes.

Kheros
Then come, Eliq.
Kheros’s voice rumbles through the Heartgarden. One immense claw sweeps across the ring, and Elion pivots beneath it, closing the distance instead of retreating.
Elion leaps and strikes Kheros’s armored foreleg with Kharul’vok, then lands hard and rolls clear as the dragon’s answering wingbeat scatters dust and leaves.

Kheros
You have sparred with me in dragon form and remained present through the fear. Good. Now you know the scale of what you must one day face.
Director's notewhole tale
Everytime Kheros speaks in dragon form, His Voice rumbles heavily
Elion Draemnor's turn“Kheros asks Elion if he wants to try sparring while Kheros is in his dragon form. Elion accept. He dashes towards Kheros and is about to attack him with all his might. The next second, Elion is resting on the tree he was before, the roots healing him. Kheros is beside him, in his normal form with his two horns, waiting for him to wake up. When Elion wakes up, Kheros simply says: You woke up. I hit you with one of my paws and i thought you had died.”
FAILURE (Fair Athletics, rolled +0)
Elion drives forward beneath Kheros’s colossal wings, pouring all his strength into Kharul’vok. The blade rises toward the dragon’s immense chest, but the scale between them makes the attack hopelessly slow.
Kheros’s paw sweeps across the ring before Elion can reach him. The blow catches him and sends him tumbling through dust and leaves, his ribs jolting as the Heartgarden blurs around him.
The world goes dark. When Elion’s senses return, he lies against the ancient tree where he began, roots glowing around his body and drawing away the worst of the pain. Kharul’vok rests beside him.
Kheros now stands nearby in his normal form, two horns rising from his brow. He watches in silence while the roots steadily restore Elion’s living body, leaving the failed attack impossible to repeat unchanged.
After a long interval, Elion wakes beneath the luminous branches. His breathing is shallow but stable, and the lesson remains clear: against that form, reaching the body is not enough. He must first understand its movement.

Kheros
You woke up. I hit you with one of my paws, and I thought you had died.
Elion Draemnor's turn“Elion and Kheros continue to train for 18 months. Kheros sends a raven to Elion companions to warn them that Elion will be absent for 9 months in their time span on Eryn. he tells Elion companion's to train hard because a calamity is awaiting them. Fast forward 18 month, Elion's last day with Kheros.”
SUCCESS (Fair Athletics, rolled +3)

For eighteen months, Elion trains beneath the Heartgarden’s luminous roots. He masters his transformed movement, endures Kheros’s trials, and finishes the final exercise standing, breathing hard but unbroken.
During the regimen, Kheros sends a black-feathered raven carrying a warning to Saadia, Lydia, Lioran, Oskar, Veil, and the others: Elion will be absent for nine months by Eryn’s reckoning, and a calamity approaches.

Kheros
I told them to train hard, Eliq. When you return, you must find them prepared, because the coming calamity will not wait for your reunion.
On the final day, Elion completes the last physical trial in a single controlled sequence. He crosses the ring beneath Kheros’s assault, redirects the force, and touches the marked stone without falling.

Kheros
You have completed the regimen. Your body now understands what your will demands, and you can carry that understanding beyond this garden.
The final contact awakens a narrow silver path through the Heartgarden, leading to a sealed archway that was invisible before. Kheros studies it, recognizing a route Elion can use later.

Kheros
That path is your unasked-for gain. It leads toward an older training ground, and it will remain open when you return. Now go, Eliq, and face the calamity with your companions.
Gold-white light gathers around Elion and the reinforced scroll container. After eighteen months beneath Kheros’s guidance, the Heartgarden releases him toward Eryn and the waiting resistance.

Elion Draemnor's turn“I return through the scroll and meet with the resistance, at the Haven. i see new individuals that i don't know: Ra'zzir, Varanni, Aelrith and Serana. They've joined us. They all look powerful. Saadia, Oskar, Lydia and Lioran have all changed, for the better. I learned that Veil has went to investigate a matter concerning Manic Book. I run and Embrace Saadia. I cry because im so happy to see her. I then hug the others”
SUCCESS (Fair Athletics, rolled +0)

Gold-white light opens at the Haven. Elion steps through the scroll’s fading sigil and sees Saadia, Lydia, Oskar, and Lioran waiting with renewed strength beside four unfamiliar, formidable figures: a swift young adult Kalox man, three adult women, including two elves and an imposing vampire.
He runs toward Saadia. The sudden effort compresses his bruised ribs and steals a harsh breath, but he reaches her and pulls her into a fierce embrace without slowing.
Elion cries against Saadia’s shoulder, overwhelmed by relief. She holds him tightly, one hand cradling the back of his head as the Haven’s gathered resistance watches in quiet respect.

Saadia
You came back to me, my love. I knew you would, but I missed you every day. We are stronger now, and Veil has gone to investigate a matter concerning the Manic Books.
Elion releases Saadia only to embrace Lydia, Oskar, and Lioran in turn. Their changed strength cannot conceal the warmth of the reunion, and each holds him close despite his labored breathing.

Return to the Resistance with Kheros's warning
Elion Draemnor's turn“So tell me everthing. So together, they all explain everything to Elion. All the legendary bandits have formed an Alliance. Haldvar overthrew Akav'Ren and gained authority for himself. He now leads the people and with his army, subjugates the people to an extreme tyrannical reign. Peligros Leiner, the High Custodian, was in on it. Even though he led the nation, all along he was Haldvar's ally. The nation of Aurythia formed a sort of alliance with the bandits in exchange for even more wealth in prosperity. Then a man's voice rises in the crowd: That is why i joined the Resistance. That is none other than Kael Aurelius Harvnford, the Paladin. Then they continue and explain that Aurythia is also currently crashing econimically because of Amar but they don't know its him. More and more people have joined the Haven for refuge and the Haven has grown heavily in territory. They continue and say that the legendary heroes have declared war on the bandits. Now we need get in contact with heroes.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled +1)

The Unfamiliar Elven Archer
We will tell you everything. The legendary bandits have formed an alliance. Haldvar overthrew Akav’ren, and Peligros Leiner, its High Custodian, secretly helped him seize authority.

Varanni
Haldvar now rules through an army and extreme tyranny. Aurythia allied with the bandits for wealth and prosperity, though its economy is collapsing. Amar’s hidden pressure is helping cause that collapse, but they do not know his role.
The resistance has spread far beyond the Haven’s first walls. Refugees fill new shelters and fields, while soldiers, healers, and scouts organize beneath its growing protection. Saadia remains close to Elion as the account continues.

Serana
The legendary heroes have declared war on the bandits. They are gathering their strength, but we have not yet established a reliable channel to them.

The Man in the Crowd
That is why I joined the Resistance. I am Kael Aurelius Harvnford, the Spear-Saint of Aurythia. I can establish contact with the heroes’ war council now.
Kael steps forward, a young adult man with a tall, athletic build, warm brown skin, sharp features, and short dark hair, wearing polished silver armor over a deep-blue cloak with a spear-shaped brooch, from the gathered refugees and presses a silver war-seal between his palms. Its light rises into the Haven’s air, forming a clear circle of distant faces and attentive voices.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford
The contact is open. Thjorn, Rygar, Kaelen, Velyne, Hrodin, and Maela are receiving us. Speak, Elion. The legendary heroes will hear the Resistance directly.

Assess the Resistance's readiness for the coming calamity
Elion Draemnor's turn“Fellow heroes, we are willing to help you fight the war. We're called the Resistance. A group that has been growing for over a year now. Please, let us help you. We have many men ready to fight that war with you, to protect Eryn and regain what has been lost.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Persuasion, rolled +1)

Elion Draemnor
Fellow heroes, we are willing to help you fight this war. We are the Resistance, growing for over a year. Let us help protect Eryn and regain what has been lost. We have many soldiers ready to fight beside you.
Elion’s offer carries through Kael’s silver war-seal. Behind him, the Haven’s gathered soldiers, healers, scouts, and refugees stand in disciplined silence, while the distant heroes listen through the circle of light.

Thjorn
Your offer is accepted. A force that shelters the displaced and still chooses to stand against tyranny is not merely an army. It is a cause worth defending.

Hrodin
We have fought powerful enemies before, but victory will require more than legendary warriors. Your soldiers know the land, and your Haven gives people somewhere to survive. We will fight beside you.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford
The war council recognizes the Resistance as an allied force. I will carry your numbers, supplies, and capabilities to them, and establish a direct channel for joint operations.

Kael Aurelius Harvnford
Your alliance is formal from this moment. The heroes will share intelligence, coordinate with your commanders, and treat the Resistance as a vital army in the war to reclaim Eryn.
