Tululu's magic folds the air, and the court blinks out of the throne hall in a wash of silver wind.
They rematerialize in the observation tower, high above the Crystal Palace. Thin air bites at the lungs. Frost rims the open arches, and the mountain range stretches under a cold, pale sky.
Valerius, the Caretaker, the Noble, Kaelith, the Deep Challenger, Navana, the Vaelith Heir, the Ash and Gold Dragon, and the Thorned Visitor gather around Tululu as the tower steadies around them.

Kaelith
The height is useful. Nothing below can hide for long from this vantage.

Valerius
You have moved us well, Tululu. Say where you want our sight turned first.
The Ash and Gold Dragon coils near the parapet, its gilded scales catching the dawn. Navana studies the valleys below with rigid focus, while the Noble keeps close to the inner wall, reassured by the tower's height.

Tululu
We begin with the threats to the kingdom. Show me what may rise against us.

Secure the kingdom’s northern valleys
“Order Navana to connect with the world tree to speak for it. Have the world tree tell us the condition of the kingdom.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Magic, rolled +1)
Tululu lifts a hand, and Navana steps to the tower’s heart without hesitation.
At Tululu’s silent command, the air around his chest turns clear and green-gold, like sunlight filtering through deep roots.

Navana
The world tree hears. It is awake, and it is watching the kingdom through me.
Navana’s eyes go distant as the light thickens into a living shimmer. Below the tower, the valleys answer with faint pulses of color.

Navana
It speaks of strain in the western road, and smoke where the trade fields should be green.

Navana
The northern valleys hold, but they are watched. Old root-paths stir, and something sealed under the far ridge stirs with them.
The glow spills into a branching vision of the kingdom, and the world tree’s voice settles into Navana’s mouth like a crown being set in place.

Navana
Give me your will, Tululu, and I will let the tree show us where to strike first.
