The palace steadies into a single brilliant glow. The three spirit factions remain bowed, and the dragon at Tululu’s feet hums like a living oath.

Kaelith

Kaelith

The mountain recognizes you. Speak the form of your rule, and we will bind it.

The Ashen

The Ashen

Name your fire, princess. Authority without sacrifice is only noise.

The Verdant Choir

Join root, ash, and ward, and let the realm hear one crown.

Navana lowers his head beside the dragon, waiting. The seal behind the throne-shape gleams, ready to receive the factions’ assent.

Tululu

Tululu

I claim the mountain’s heart, and I take the throne by right of blood, bond, and will.

At Tululu’s words, the dragon rises and presses its horn to the crystal seal. Light threads through the bowed spirits, knotting into one radiant crest above the dais.

Kaelith

Kaelith

It is sealed. The throne accepts its heir.

Do I have an obstacle to overcome?

As the radiant crest stabilizes above the dais, the crystal floor beneath Tululu begins to spiderweb with jagged, violet fractures that pulse in direct opposition to the throne's golden light.

Kaelith

Kaelith

The throne accepts the heir, but the mountain does not yet accept the burden. A shadow-debt remains, one that your blood alone cannot silence.

Tululu

Tululu

The seal is not just a lock, it is a tether to something still hungry beneath the foundation.

Scry for what is hidden and reveal my next objective.

Tululu lowers both blades and lets the palace hush around them. Their gaze sinks past the throne-dais, past crystal and root, into the hidden bones of the mountain.

Tululu

Tululu

The foundation is carrying a hunger seal.

Purple rune-light threads from Tululu’s tattoos into the fractured floor. The cracks answer, not widening, but clarifying, until a buried pattern of chained sigils resolves beneath the stone.

Kaelith

Kaelith

There. The debt is anchored below the dais, in the old root-vault. It feeds on divided claims.

The Ash and Gold Dragon lifts its head and exhales a thin ribbon of gold. The violet fractures flare, then pause, held in place as if listening.

The Verdant Choir

The next rite is clear. Descend to the root-vault, name the divide, and sever the tether before it takes the throne’s footing.

For one bright instant, the shattered floor shows a hidden stair of black crystal opening beneath the dais, marked with Tululu’s own crest.

Tululu lifts both spell blades and speaks the teleport in a single, controlled breath. Violet light folds around Tululu, Navana, and the Ash and Gold Dragon, and the palace’s crystal sheen blinks out beneath them.

For an instant, black crystal and root-spun dark fill everything, close and cold, then the spell sets them down inside the root-vault with a soft shock of settling dust.

The vaulted chamber opens around them, ribbed with old crystal and living roots. The hidden stair stands behind their backs, and a veil of fractured violet light shivers where the teleport finished.

Navana

Navana

We made it. By Tululu’s hand, the vault yields.

The Ash and Gold Dragon lands beside Tululu in a guarded crouch, horn angled toward the dark heart of the room. Its gold fire reflects off a cracked basin half-buried in the root wall.

Kaelith

Kaelith

The seal is closer now. The vault remembers your blood, heir.

Along the far wall, a narrow seam of black crystal brightens, as if Tululu’s arrival has woken something sleeping behind it.
