F and Torin step through the widening ember-lit threshold and arrive in a vast basalt amphitheater. The bridge ends behind them with a grinding collapse, sealing the chasm away.

Heat rolls across the black stone. Above, the impossible river climbs through the darkness like a burning wall, its embers drifting upward without smoke.

At the amphitheater's center, a ring of pale pillars surrounds a sunken floor. Each pillar bears a hollow shaped like a hand, and each hollow glows faintly when the Ember Heart's distant trail pulses.

A deep beat rolls through the chamber. The pillars flare one by one, revealing a colossal sealed doorway beyond them. Something on the other side answers with a second, slower pulse.

F raises the Ember Heart. Its glow answers the pillar hollows, and a molten line threads across the sunken floor toward the colossal doorway.

Therefore, the nearest pillars unlock in sequence. Their pale stone turns toward F, shaping a clear path through the ring while the furnace heat surges.

The Ember Heart pulls forward in F's grasp, not with force but with a steady warmth. The sealed doorway answers, its central seam brightening to the same ember-red pulse.

Then the slower heartbeat beyond the stone stops. The pillars bow inward, and the doorway begins to part, revealing a narrow descent lit by rising fire.
