F steps off the daïs and into a narrow ledge-room beyond it. The air here is warmer, thick with soot and old mineral tang, and the stone underfoot hums with the sleeper's pulse.
Ahead, a round antechamber opens like a throat. Ember light leaks through cracked seams in the walls, and a black pool sits in the center, still as glass.

Torin
This is not on the map.

The Watcher
It is now.
The Watcher glides to the room's edge, while Torin hangs back with one hand near his belt, eyes fixed on the pool. F reaches the threshold first, and the surface shivers at their presence.
A low draft rises from below the pool, carrying the scent of wet ash. The chamber answers with a deeper pulse, as if something beneath the stone has noticed them and turned.

F
The pool is reacting to me, or to the Heart's trail.
“I'd find comfort in this room, i take a moment to let torin rest "torin, it's time to eat"”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +3)

F eases back from the pool’s edge and settles into the warmer stone. The chamber holds its breath, then lets it out in a slow, steady hum.

F
Torin, it is time to eat.
Torin blinks, then lowers himself to the floor with visible relief. He unwraps a small bundle of travel food, and the simple act softens the tension in his shoulders.

Torin
I did not think I would be grateful for dried rations in a place like this.
The Watcher drifts closer, not intruding, only observing. A faint nod of approval catches the ember light as the pool gives a quieter ripple beneath the room’s pulse.

The Watcher
Rest is a kind of honesty, too.
Torin looks from F to the black water, then back again, his hunger giving way to a wary calm. He breaks the food in half and sets one piece within F’s reach.

Torin
If this chamber means to judge us, let it see this. I can wait a little longer.
