Sereth

It holds. For now. If the chamber keeps its silence, the change may stay.

Sereth

Sereth

I am going upstairs. Do not mistake my absence for certainty.

Sereth turns from the dais and climbs toward the upper levels of the shrine, her hood vanishing into the dark stone passage.

The violet sigils remain dim and steady. Dust hangs unmoving in the air around Surazal.

Surazal

Surazal

The lattice in my body is quiet.

Surazal stands alone at the center of the chamber, his new form humming with cold, controlled power as the silence closes in.

The chamber holds its breath a moment longer, then the silence bites back. Beneath Surazal's skin, the stabilized lattice gives one hard, wrong shudder, as if the shrine itself has noticed the guardian is gone.

Surazal

The sigils are answering the absence.

A thin line of violet ash lifts from the dais and crawls toward his boots. The floor sigils brighten in a slow pulse, not steady now, but searching.

The Voice

Keeper left. I remain. Will you endure the chamber alone, or call me to bind what is fraying?

At the far edge of the dark, the ancient stair sigils flicker once, then answer from below with a second glow, deeper and older than Sereth's.

"i am here for one task only to strengthen my body I will not back down give me any test you like"

Then stand in the silence and let it judge you. No reaching. No flinching.

The chamber answers at once. The violet ash on the dais stops drifting and drops flat, as if pressed by an unseen hand.

Surazal holds his stance. The lattice under his skin tightens, then settles, accepting the stillness instead of rejecting it.

A thin ache stays behind in the seam of his new form, but the pulse does not break. The stair sigils below continue to glow, patient and old.

The Voice

The Voice

Good. The chamber does not need shouting. It needs proof.

From the dark above the steps, a narrow veil of ash loosens and falls between Surazal and the glowing floor, marking the test as begun.
