The Yuichi residence settles around them. Pipes click, floorboards cool, and distant sirens fade while Cold Yuichi falls asleep in his bed.

Morning light reaches the guest room first. Janet remains unconscious and powerless, still left behind from the forest while Cold Yuichi wakes and begins preparing for Kurichi Highschool.

At the school, Friken remains elsewhere among the ordinary students, unaware of the house and the hidden transfer now moving toward their orbit.

From the guest bedroom comes a faint rustle as the blanket shifts. Janet does not wake, but the quiet sound marks the next decision before school begins.

Morning light lies across the upstairs hall as Cold Yuichi reaches Janet’s partly open door. He taps gently against the wood, careful not to startle her.

Cold Yuichi answers with a smile, keeping his voice easy. The certainty of his plan settles over the room, turning the hidden house into a temporary refuge rather than a trap.

Janet swings her legs over the bed and stands. Her knees tremble once, then hold; no frost answers her, and the pale dress remains unchanged.

Downstairs, Cold Yuichi’s schoolbag waits beside the front door. Janet gains a plain route into Kurichi Highschool, and the morning crowd will give her cover from the Quiche.

Janet now wears Kurichi’s black-and-red school uniform over her powerless presence. Her black hair and silver eyes draw only brief glances before the students turn away.

Inside the classroom, Cold Yuichi takes a seat beside Janet. She keeps her posture composed, though her hands rest carefully in her lap without a trace of frost.

The teacher, an elderly woman with a slim build, short gray hair, and a neat navy cardigan over a white blouse, taps chalk across the board begins the morning lesson, chalk tapping across the board. Sunlight cuts through the windows, and the classroom settles into a familiar rhythm around them.

Janet opens a borrowed notebook and faces the front. Beside her, Cold Yuichi remains the nearest shield between her and the hidden world searching beyond the school.
