Cold Yuichi rises and pulls Marie into a careful hug before turning toward the fading black residue. Her fairies glow softly around his wrists as the others follow.
The trail drops from the rooftops into the Training center, streaking across suspended practice platforms and abandoned weapon racks. Frosted dust lifts in its wake.
Veyra
That residue is a decoy. Lucien layered it over a faster path, and the real trail is already fading.
Janet crosses the nearest platform with her rapier ready, while Marie stays close to Cold Yuichi. The Unit 6 captain scans the empty lanes behind them.
Captain Seraphine Vale enters through the eastern arch, silver hair stark against her white captain’s coat. She carries sealed records beneath one arm.
Captain Seraphine Vale
The records confirm it. Lucien is forcing a route toward the Ashen Gate through the old combat channels.
Veyra
Then the visible trail is meant to delay us. The true route is somewhere beneath this center, and it will vanish soon.

“The unit 6 captain then reveals her name and shows her espresso power shooting crystals into captain seraphine and kicking cold all the way to the side as she take marie and says I work for Lucian freely as she teleports to Lucian”
FAILURE (Fair No applicable trait — the described actions are performed by the Unit 6 captain, not Cold Yuichi., rolled -3)
“The unit 6 captain then reveals her name and shows her espresso power shooting crystals into captain seraphine and kicking cold all the way to the side as she take marie and says I work for Lucian freely as she teleports to Lucian”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled -1)
The Unit 6 captain lowers her guard. Her dark armor opens along the shoulders as crystalline growths spiral from her arms, catching the Training center’s pale light.
Veyra
My name is Veyra. I work for Lucien freely, and I have from the beginning.
Veyra flicks both hands. Crystal spikes burst across Captain Seraphine Vale’s coat and pin her against the eastern arch, locking her weapon arm in place.
A crystalline shockwave catches Cold Yuichi in the chest and kicks him across the platform. He skids beside an abandoned weapon rack as frost scatters beneath him.
Veyra
Marie is the key Lucien needs. I will deliver her, and you will follow when you understand how little this alliance can protect.
Veyra seizes Marie around the waist. The fairies flare brightly, but a faceted crystal shell closes over them before they can break her grasp.
A violet-black portal unfolds behind Veyra, showing the Ashen Gate’s scorched approach. She pulls Marie through, and the passage snaps shut, leaving Seraphine pinned and Cold Yuichi separated from them.
