Wind claws at the summit as Derick Force, Joi, Garth, and Kellan step onto the peak platform. Below them, the High Spire drops away into mist and broken stone.

Kellan
This is the place. I can lock the seal here, but the Echo-Blade must stay with me until it passes to an heir of my blood.

Garth
Then we keep it steady and see this through. No hesitation now.
Kellan lifts the Echo-Blade. Its hum deepens, answering the pulse in the Spire walls. The blade seems to pull at the air itself.

Derick Force
The blade is meant to awaken something, not just seal it.
Joi presses close to Derick's leg, ears forward, watching Kellan and the glowing edge. The summit stones begin to glow in a ring around the platform.

Kellan
If you want this done safely, Derick, I need your help now. Hold the line, or stop me before the blade is set.
“I help hold the seal line”
SUCCESS (Superb Strength, rolled +0)

Derick plants his weight beside the seal, and the glowing ring steadies under his grip. The rune-light stops shivering and spreads in a clean circle across the stone.
Kellan lowers the Echo-Blade into place. The weapon hums once, then quiets, as if the platform recognizes it.

Kellan
There... it takes.
A pale pulse runs through the summit. Fine cracks in the floor knit together with threads of light, and the wind eases at once.

Garth
Ha. That is the good kind of silence.
Joi steps in tighter at Derick's side, tail high, as a warm shimmer spills from the seal and rests over them like a blessing.

Kellan
The blade is home. Derick Force, the Spire knows your hand now... but something here just answered back.
