Buster pushes through the narrow gap, and the container maze opens into a long lane of rust-red steel. Ahead, the fence should be close. Instead, the lane bends around another stack and bleeds back toward the yard’s center.

A harsh click answers them from above. A floodlight snaps on over the containers, painting the lane white. At the far end, a hunter in dark tactical gear steps onto a container edge, silhouetted and watching the gap they just left.

Keep them moving. The center is where we want them.
The Veteran Hero shifts closer to the Teenager, ready to run or fight. The Teenager freezes, trapped between the glare and the dead-end steel walls. Buster stands where the lane opens, the only thing between them and the kill zone.
For one beat, the whole yard feels like a trap with Buster at its hinge.

Above, the Hunter Captain snaps their head toward the rupture, command faltering for the first time.

Buster plants himself in the torn gap, holding it open while the others slip through into the black seam beyond the trap.
Behind them, the mechanical buzz overhead grows louder as the hunters rush to seal the break.
