Smoke thickens along the left fence line, hiding the trampled row beyond. The Mogol giant lies half-buried in mud, twitching under bolts and spearpoints. Druk stands over it, crossbow ready, while his ogres hold the ring tight.

The Crossbow Leader
Your word, boss. Kill it, or chain it and drag it in.

The Spear Rank
It tried our gate. Say the word, and we finish it here.

Druk
Bind it. If it wakes, I want answers first.
The ogres surge forward at once. One pins the giant’s arm, another hauls rope from a belt hook, and the spear line shifts outward to keep the smoky fence in sight. The giant shudders, but the weight on it keeps it down.

The Crossbow Leader
Good. If it talks, we learn who sent it.
Druk’s choice turns a broken raider into a prize. The farm bowl stays his, and now the captured giant may point him toward whatever threat is testing his borders next.

Question the captured Mogol giant
✓ Quest Accepted
Secure the fort and farm
“I order troops tie up very well the giant and begin repairs on the damage. I interogate the giant, using arcane to translate from common into basic giant”
SUCCESS (Great Leadership, rolled +2)

Ogres knot fresh rope around the giant’s wrists and ankles, then cinch the knots to a broken fence post. Druk’s order ripples outward, and two more workers peel off to haul splintered rails aside and stack usable timber.
With a short arcane mutter, Druk bends the giant’s guttural tongue into rough common. The prisoner gives a low groan, then coughs mud.

Bruk
No... not kill. I was sent. Wind-blood giants watch the pass. They point us at your fields.
The Crossbow Leader shifts his stance and looks toward the far fence, where smoke still crawls along the posts. The Spear Rank drives his spear butt into the earth and starts directing two ogres to brace the broken gap.

Bruk
They want your grain burned. They want you busy.
Druk’s ogres drag the giant upright just enough for questioning, while another pair plants a fresh post and begins lashing rails back into place. Mud squelches under heavy boots, but the line holds.

The Crossbow Leader
We have the brute. We have the fence. Point us at the next trouble, boss.

Question the captured Mogol giant
“I say, we dont do anything to you or them and you do all this crap like this all the time. I point the crossbow to its neck and say, why should i spare you, then. You aim to kill us”
SUCCESS (Good Intimidation, rolled +1)

Druk levels the crossbow at the giant’s throat, close enough that the bound brute freezes. The mud around its knees trembles as it swallows hard.

Druk
I do not spare you after this. You point us at death and fire, so tell me why I should spare you at all.

Bruk
Because I am not the hand that chose it. Wind-blood giants in the pass beat the drum. They promise food, salt, and a share of your grain if we make trouble.
The giant jerks its chin toward the repaired fence, then toward the smoke line, as if naming the route of the next attack without daring to move.

Bruk
They said your bowl was soft. They said you would bleed men for every post. I believed them... until your bolt found my eye.

The Crossbow Leader
So the pass has a shepherd. Good. That gives us a head to cut off.

Bruk
Spare me and I will lead you to their camp. Their watchers count your patrols from the rocks above.
The spear line keeps bracing the gap while the last loose rails are hauled into place, and the giant stays very still under Druk’s aim, waiting for his answer.

Skill Upgrade: Leadership Great→Superb
“I say, our terms are, you work off your debt for threatening our lives, work the farms, mining the cave where you fit and building on further to our castle, lifting and placing blocks the men would struggle with, 1yr. Plus you lead us to to the wind giants”
SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled +1)

Druk lowers the crossbow just enough to make the giant listen. His terms land like a hammer on an anvil, and the prisoner’s shoulders sag as the weight of them sinks in.

Bruk
One year... and the pass?
The giant glances toward the fence, then the bowl beyond it, already measuring labor instead of escape. The smoke drifts thinner now, and the farm line keeps its shape behind him.

The Crossbow Leader
If he works, he earns his breath. If he lies, he hangs.

Bruk
I will lead you. I know the watchers on the rocks, and I know where the Wind-bloods sleep when the cold bites hard.
At that, he nods toward the cave mouth and the stacked stone beyond the gate, as if accepting that his back will meet Druk’s walls before it meets freedom.

The Crossbow Leader
Then give him a collar of rope and set him where his hands can earn it. Ask his name while you bind him, lord.
The prisoner swallows, then answers before anyone else can press him further. His voice is rough, but steady enough to carry. 'Bruk. I build stone well, and I know the mountain paths.'
“I command my top general a bigger then the rest ogre with green skin and short blong hair , his name "Roggo" to come forth”
SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled -2)

Druk turns his hand, and the nearest ogres snap to attention. His order rolls across the bowl, sharp and simple.

Druk
Roggo. Come forth.
Heads lift along the fence line. Workers pause with rope and post between their hands, watching for the big green ogre to answer.
A heavier set of boots thuds through the trampled dirt, coming from the camp road beside the farm plots.

Roggo
You called, Druk?
Roggo stops at the edge of the work crew, broad-shouldered and alert, waiting for the next command while Bruk keeps still in the mud.

The Crossbow Leader
Good. Put him to use. If he knows the mountain paths, he can prove it under watch.
“I say, youre in charge of bruk, appoint your strongest and most skilled to chain him propperly and keep him in the thick barred cell at the end of the slave workers cellar in the lower caves of the castle”
SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled +0)

Druk points, and the work crew parts around his decision like reeds before a boot. Roggo straightens at once, ready to take the burden.

Druk
You’re in charge of Bruk. Take your strongest and most skilled, chain him properly, and put him in the thick barred cell in the lower caves.

Roggo
As you order, Druk. I’ll see him caged and watched.

The Crossbow Leader
Good. Send two more with him, one for chains, one for the door watch. He won’t walk out of a stone cell.
Roggo jerks his chin, already choosing the hardest hands nearby. Bruk’s shoulders sag a fraction as the new sentence lands on him.
The nearest ogres fall into motion, lifting the bound giant clear of the mud and hauling him toward the path into the castle caves, where iron and torchlight wait.
From the fence line, the Spear Rank keeps the rest of the crew working while he glances after them. The question now hangs on the march down, who Roggo trusts to lock the cell and who he leaves with the key.

Escort Bruk to the holding cell
“I march behind them all, calm and stern as bruk gets locked up. I say low only to roggo to have bruk decently fed and his cell cleaned if he behaves well enough”
SUCCESS (Superb Leadership, rolled -2)

Druk falls in behind the escort, silent as stone. The ogres hauling Bruk keep moving toward the cave mouth, while torchlight from below starts to catch on wet mud and chain.
At the lower entrance, Roggo signals the door watch to clear a lane. Bruk is guided through the iron-bound threshold, his pace slow but steady under the ropes and hands on him.

Druk
Keep him fed if he behaves. Clean the cell too.

Roggo
Aye. Decent food, clean straw, and a sharp watch if he earns it.
Roggo gives a short, grim nod and points one ogre toward the kitchens, another toward the cell block. Bruk hears it and lowers his head, saying nothing.

Bruk
Maybe this is not a death pit. Maybe obedience buys time.
The cell door clangs open below, and the escort begins to turn Bruk inside. Torchlight flickers across wet stone as the last guard steps into place behind him.
