Druk

Roggo, have the men stack the forged equipment the wind-worshipping giants asked for when it is done.

Roggo

Roggo

As you say, Druk. I will have it bundled by size and marked for the pass.

The forge crew shifts at once. Iron rims clink into one pile, meat hooks into another, each bundle tied with care beside the cooling racks.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

Fine work, all of it. We keep the tally clean, and the giants get what was promised.

Roggo points with a quick, sharp gesture, and two assistants drag the first finished stack toward the loading side of the chamber.

The order turns the forge into purpose. This cargo will go north as proof that Worr Croa can honor a pact and feed its own power at the same time.

Roggo

Roggo

Druk, the cairn meeting waits on the next good light. If we send enough iron, the giants will have no excuse to balk.

At the edge of the heat, the last bundle lands with a heavy thud. The doorway beyond the forge stands open, and the route to the pass feels a little nearer.

Druk turns from the loading side and asks after the custom scimitar he commissions for himself.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

It is close, Druk. The blade is forged, the grip is set, and the smiths are finishing the last polish.

Roggo

Roggo

They have gone beyond the wooden trials. What remains is fit and finish, and a proper edge test.

The Forge Runner reaches under the rack and lifts a wrapped, dark shape, careful with it as if it already belongs on a war leader's hip.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

The broad guard holds. The storm iron finish takes the light well. If you wish, we can have it ready for your hand before the tribute leaves.

Roggo glances from the blade to the stacked bundles, then back to Druk, waiting for the final word on whether the weapon joins the caravan now or stays under watch in the forge.

I say that would be nice, ill bring it along, try it out maybe

The Forge Runner nods once and strips back the wrap, revealing the dark curve of the scimitar to the forge light. Roggo reaches out, checks the edge with a thumb held clear, then gives a short approving grunt.

Roggo

Roggo

Good. A blade proves itself in the hand, not on a rack.

Druk takes the scimitar from the cloth. The hilt settles cleanly in his grip, and the wrapped tribute bundles sit ready beside the loading stacks.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

Then let us send it with the caravan. If it cuts well on the road, we will know the work stands.

He turns and clips a leather tag to the weapon wrap, marking it for travel with the giants' goods. One of the assistants shifts the iron bundles closer to the door, making space for the blade among the tribute.

Roggo

Roggo

Take it with the hooks and rims. If the Thruhhul like our iron, this one can earn its place before the cairn.

The forge crew falls back into motion around Druk, but the scimitar is now his to carry. The bundles are set, the blade is with the caravan, and Roggo waits for Druk to choose whether to leave with the load or test the new steel first.

Druk gives the scimitar a loose wrist turn, then steps to a scrap of wood set by the forge wall.

The blade bites clean on the first light cut, whispering through the grain and leaving a thin, even slice.

Roggo

Roggo

Good balance. Better than the first mockups.

Druk shifts his grip and tries again, faster this time. The hilt stays steady, the broad guard catching his knuckles clear of the wood.

Forge Runner

That sits in the hand like it belongs there.

A second stroke shaves a longer strip free, neat enough to curl at Druk's feet. The edge holds true, and the steel feels ready for a road test.

Roggo

Roggo

Take it with the load, then. If you mean to present iron and hooks, the blade can travel with them.

The assistants tighten the last straps on the tribute bundles while Roggo waits for Druk's next order, the scimitar still warm in his hand.

I smoke and help them load up the rest, mostly make sure its secured well

Druk draws the pipe to his mouth, then steps in beside the assistants and puts a heavy hand under one lashed bundle.

The straps settle under his grip, tight and square. He shifts the load by inches, making sure the weight sits even before it moves.

Roggo

Roggo

That latch holds better with your hand on it.

Smoke drifts up through the forge heat as Druk checks the knots, then tugs one last time at the cord near the door. The bundle does not slip.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

Good. Then that set can go on the cart as it is.

Druk gives the pile a final look, the scimitar riding at his side while the newly tied tribute stacks wait in ordered rows.

Assistant 1 and Assistant 2 hoist the secured loads toward the threshold as Roggo watches the lashings. The doorway stands open, and the packed tribute is ready for the next hand to take it.

Druk cinches the last strap with a hard pull, and the bundle answers with a solid, settled thump.

The tribute stack stops shifting. Its weight sits square, the lashings tight enough to ride rough ground without spilling.

Roggo

Roggo

There. That one is packed for travel now.

Assistant 1 and Assistant 2 lift the finished loads into the open doorway, where the smoke thins and the cart space waits beyond.

Forge Runner

The hooks go with the rims, marked and counted. No confusion at the gate.

Roggo gives the tied bundles one last look, then nods toward the threshold. The caravan pieces are ready, and the next hand can take them out.

I ask if he made a scabbard, even a simple thing for it

The doorway keeps breathing smoke into the forge as the bundles wait in their ropes.

Druk

Druk

Did you make a scabbard for it, even a simple one?

Roggo

Roggo

For the scimitar? Not yet. I left room to fit one once the final shape settled.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

A plain one would do, if it is only for travel. A proper sheath takes more leather than a bundle of hooks.

Roggo

Roggo

A scabbard can be cut quick, but a good one should sit tight on the hip and keep the edge dry.

Roggo reaches to the workbench and lifts a length of stiff leather, turning it under the forge light as the assistants pause with the tribute.

Roggo

Roggo

If you want it, I can have one cut before the caravan leaves. Simple, sturdy, no ornament unless you ask for it.

I say thats fine, just make it sit at my waist and gaurd the edge from contact

Roggo gives a short, satisfied nod and folds the leather over his hands, measuring it against the scimitar’s curve.

Roggo

Roggo

A clean fit, then. High enough to ride easy, tight enough not to slap.

He lays the strip across his forearm, already marking where the throat and tip need reinforcement.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

I can cut the body while he punches the rivet holes. Plain, fast, and sturdy.

The Forge Runner reaches for the leather, and the two assistants shift the tribute bundles another step closer to the doorway.

Roggo

Roggo

Good. Then it travels with the blade, not separate from it.

Roggo fits the leather to the scimitar’s side, presses the edge line once with his thumb, and finds the hold true at Druk’s hip.

I help them finish faster

Druk steps in close and takes the work apart with a commander’s eye, one hand on the scabbard line, the other pointing out where speed matters most.

Roggo

Roggo

There. If the throat is punched first, the stitch follows clean. We waste no motion.

The Forge Runner snatches up the leather and turns sharply to the bench, while the assistants lean into the tribute bundles and slide them free of the last snag.

Forge Runner

Forge Runner

I have the cut. Give me breath and I finish the body before the iron cools.

Druk’s help snaps the rhythm into place. Roggo punches the rivet holes in a quicker run, and the scabbard sits true as the blade disappears into it.

At the doorway, the bundled hooks and rims settle into their lashings. The last strap is cinched tight, and the load is ready to move without another hand on it.

Roggo

Roggo

Good. That pace will do. The blade rides sealed, and the tribute rides with it.

Roggo lifts the finished scabbard for Druk’s inspection as the forge crew turns toward the exit, waiting for his next order.
