The greenhouse is a low, breathing hush under the storm. Green settles among the roots and broken planters, letting the dim heat and the smell of wet soil pull her out of the noise outside.

She closes herself off for a private stretch of meditation, shoulders easing as she sits still and listens to the faint life pressing up through the garden beds.

Orange comes through the haze with careful steps, his bulky outline half-lost in dust, a makeshift tool hanging at his side. He stops when he sees her, softening at once.

You holding up, Green?

The storm is louder outside than in here.

He shifts his weight near the aisle of seedlings, not crowding her, just waiting with patient concern while the greenhouse creaks around them.

Orange

Orange

I can keep working if you need the quiet. Or I can stay.

Deepen the bond with Orange

Normally my plants do not welcome you as you smell of oil and machinery, which to them usually means pollution and death. However, i know you mean neither me nor them any harm, so i ask that you sit with me for a moment if you have the time.

Orange lowers himself beside her, careful not to crush the seedlings, and the greenhouse hush settles around them. The dust keeps worrying the shell outside, but inside, the moment goes still.

Orange gives a small, relieved nod and sits where she indicated. His tool rests against his boot, and a little grit slides from his sleeve onto the soil.

Orange

Orange

I have time. More than I had a minute ago.

Orange

Orange

If the roots are letting me stay, I will count that as a good sign.

He glances toward the beds, then back to Green, his voice quieter now, as if the greenhouse itself is listening.

Orange

Orange

I worry about you when the earth hurts you this way. But I am glad you asked me here instead of pushing me away.

Green the Colossus

Will you hold me?

Orange goes still, then reaches with both arms, slow and careful around her bulk, like he is handling something precious and tired.

Orange

Orange

Yes. I can do that.

He settles her against his chest, one hand firm between her shoulders, the other bracing her side. A little dust shakes loose from his sleeve and lands on the bed edge.

Orange

Orange

She is shaking more than I thought. I should not let go too soon.

The greenhouse breathes around them, warm and close. Outside, the storm keeps scraping at the shell, but the seam holds.

Orange

Orange

Tell me if this helps. If it does not, I will adjust.

It helps a lot, big guy . . . For a brief moment, when im with you like this, it feels as if the pain of the earth leaves me. As if the screams of agony left by the dying remnants of nature are deafened.

It helps a lot, big guy. For a moment, with you like this, the pain eases.

Orange does not answer at once. His hold tightens by a fraction, careful, steady, like he is making a shelter of his own body.

Orange

Orange

Then stay here a little longer. I can carry this quiet with you.

From above, the greenhouse becomes a small map of survival, beds in neat rows, the guarded seam at the opening, the scattered tools, the lost clamp glinting by the drain like a forgotten tooth. Green and Orange sit at the center of it, still enough that the seedlings stop trembling.

The earth feels farther away in his arms.

Orange

If the pain comes back, tell me where it bites first. I want to learn how to hold you better.

Green's breathing settles. Orange notices it too, and the tension in his shoulders loosens as if he has been given a task he can keep.

Its not an actual physical pain in my nerves. It is a spiritual, emotional and mental pain that physically manifests as what i can only describe as a broken heart

SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +2)

Green the Colossus

Green the Colossus

It is not really pain in my nerves. It is spiritual, emotional, mental, and it shows up in my body like a broken heart.

Orange the Colossus

...A broken heart I can understand carrying carefully.

Orange shifts his arms, not loosening the hold so much as making room for the words. The greenhouse stays hushed around them, ribs of metal overhead, beds of seedlings below, the lost clamp still catching a dull glint near the drain.

Orange the Colossus

So it is the world itself that hurts you, not just your body.

Green the Colossus

Green the Colossus

Yes. The dying earth reaches me that way.

Orange the Colossus

Then I will stop asking where it bites, and start asking what eases it.

He rests his forehead lightly against Green's shoulder, a small, deliberate choice. Outside, the storm thuds on the shell of the greenhouse, distant and dull, while inside the seedlings remain still.

Help Orange soothe Green's pain

Moments of calm and quiet amongs the remaining flora that chooses to live on despit it all. that is what eases the pain, and that is why i came in here to meditate.

Green lets the seedlings hold her attention. Their small, stubborn stillness gives her breath something steady to follow, and the ache in her connection eases into the background.

Green the Colossus

Green the Colossus

They are still here.

Orange loosens his embrace into a side-by-side hold, giving her space without leaving. The greenhouse hums softly around them, and the dust on the bed edge lies undisturbed.

Orange the Colossus

If their roots can keep reaching, then so can you.

Green stays with the plants a moment longer, and the pressure in her chest settles into something manageable. The lost clamp still glints near the drain below the nearest row.

Orange the Colossus

Tell me what you notice when it hurts less.

The quiet answer is not a voice, but the room itself, seedlings upright in their beds, alive despite the storm. Orange waits beside her, open and patient.
