The blue-silver rune spreads across the open books, linking high elf binding diagrams to the academy foundation map. A concealed line appears beneath the far lands, ending at a symbol labeled Aleveria.

Caelen Aris
This route is older than the academy. The foundation records only copied its final sections, which means the original map may be elsewhere.
The rune pulses beside Klause, drawing a thin stream of light from his covenant-marked palm. The books remain still, but their pages turn toward the Aleveria symbol.

Liora
It is taking power from your covenant. Quietly, but deliberately. If it continues, the rune may reveal more than the library intended.

Caelen Aris
There may be a containment ward beneath this table. We should find out before the route finishes opening, unless you already know how to interrupt it.
A second concealed mark emerges beneath Aleveria, shaped like a broken seal. The library lamps dim as the blue-silver line reaches toward it.

Klause larent
The rune is using the covenant as a source.
“I feel like the runes are warning us of something*I start pouring more mana into the magic runes*”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled -1)

Klause pours more mana into the blue-silver runes. The covenant answers at once, feeding the markings without resistance as the library’s dim lamps steady around them.
The broken-seal symbol opens across the page, revealing a layered vision of Aleveria, the far-lands route, and a dark shape moving beneath its oldest foundation.

Liora
It is a warning. The seal is not merely unfinished. Something beyond it is pressing against the route.

Caelen Aris
The added mana made the message legible. Look there, beneath the foundation line. That mark identifies a living conduit.
A second inscription burns clear beside the broken seal: compatible bloodlines will be summoned when the binding fails, and the covenant bearer must choose whether to answer.

Liora
Then this concerns your family, and possibly Aleveria itself. We should copy everything before the rune closes.

Caelen Aris
I can anchor the pages with earth magic. The record will remain visible while we study the route and decide how to reach the original map.
“At that moment without warning a magic orb appears above the state of the kingdom as me and my friends go outside to look at it what is that”
SUCCESS (Good Perception, rolled +4)

Without warning, the library’s blue-silver rune leaps from the page and rises through the vaulted ceiling. Klause and his friends hurry outside into the academy courtyard.

Klause larent
What is that?
Above the kingdom’s distant skyline hangs a vast translucent orb, veined with gold and blue light. Its surface reflects Elara’s borders, the far-lands route, and the symbol of Aleveria.

Liora
That is no ordinary scrying sphere. It is showing the kingdom itself, but the route inside it is changing.

Caelen Aris
The rune brought us outside because the orb is broadcasting a foundation map. Look, the broken-seal mark is centered beneath Aleveria.
The orb turns without sound. A second image appears within it: a clear path from the academy to the far-lands portal, marked by three steady points of light.

Liora
It has revealed a route we can follow. More importantly, it is showing us the safe way through the kingdom’s ward network.
“Then the orb explodes as I hold liora handout of instinct the orbs magic explodes making every last person in the kingdom disappear somewhere different around the world and caelon is no where to be found teleported somewhere else in the world as me and liora arrive in the lost elven city”
SUCCESS (Legendary Arcana, rolled -3)

Klause reaches for Liora’s hand as the orb swells overhead. His covenant answers through their joined palms, and the orb fractures with a soundless burst of gold and blue light.
The kingdom vanishes beneath a storm of teleporting radiance. Every person caught within the orb’s map is scattered to a different distant place, while Klause’s mana tears sharply from his body.

Liora
Klause, hold on to me!
Liora’s grip remains firm, but Caelen disappears in a separate flash, his earth-and-water signature severed from theirs. The orb collapses into sparks above the empty courtyard.
Klause and Liora strike ancient marble beneath a violet sky. Around them rises a lost elven city of white towers, root-wrapped bridges, and sealed crystal gates swallowed by emerald vines.

Liora
Caelen is gone. We are far from the academy, and this city feels like the broken seal’s oldest memory.
Klause’s covenant-marked palm burns where the magic discharged, leaving a darkened crescent across his skin. Beyond the ruined avenue, one crystal gate begins to glow with the Aleveria symbol.
