Grimlock steps out of the rocky pass and into a broad basin of dunes, where the storm thins into silver haze. Wind combs the sand into long ripples, and the air tastes of ozone and dry heat.
The Lead Merchant halts beside a low rise, one hand on his satchel and the other lifted toward the horizon. A single pack-horse stamps and snorts, uneasy but steady.

The Lead Merchant
There. The dunes shift around old stone. If the sanctuary exists, it hides beyond that veil.
Grimlock keeps the map tucked away and looks where the merchant points. His dire wolf prowls at his side, ears forward, nose catching every turn of the wind.

The Old Hermit
A good bargain deserves a fair road. If the sand wants to swallow you, it will try at that ridge first.
The clouds break for a breath, and sunlight strikes the dunes in pale bands. Far ahead, a dark line of half-buried stone teeth rises from the sand, just visible before the haze closes again.
